That Piranha Plant ice level was devilishly brilliant. I'm disappointed that Ryu didn't see it through to the end, but I'd lie if I said I wasn't amused by his failure 😂
I think I’ve seen a few levels like that piranha level - and the more I think about it, when there are so many, the strat that works is to wait for the first round of fire while stationary, then go. Those extra seconds allow you to see what remaining blocks are on screen…

That red Koopa with the 2 cannons was surprisingly threatening.
I think if you filled the pow block in the gap in the ground, you can ride that koopa and canons and get free to the goal. Without the thwflomps afcourse.

You need to send that ice/fire/piranha level at the end to Carl, Ryu - I think he'd appreciate it.
Right at the end: this is why I love Ryu: he calls Hot Garbage for what it is and Boos it. Trash towards and at the end of the level like this however promising and nicely the level started off as should never be apologised for - that's just no fun!

He used to do that constantly in videos from 5 to 6 years ago, then kind of phased it out in favor of selective hard cuts forward (although tastefully done, so that that music lines up wherever he skips it to). To hear his voice become sped up to the extent that it was in this episode was def a blast from the past haha
Does he have a new editor? I didn't like this new editing style at all. Maybe it's just a summer replacement, I hope so.

@@kxlsin editing is super important, which is made obvious when the style changes. If everything was unedited I would probably stop watching or at least do it less often. However, I still enjoyed this video so I will of course keep watching Ryu's content.

Yeah, I was thinking this same thing. Might be able to fly in above and from the side at 18:16, and avoid those blocks. Was disappointed he didn't try it (I was actually hoping that was how to win and the key door was a troll).
