    Got the C2 this past weekend and its my first oled. Everything looks beautiful and the inky blacks look amazing. When i rewatch shows and movies from the past its like im watching a totally different show. I rewatched The Batman and the dark scenes and the bright highlights look amazing. This tv was a worthy purchase and I plan to keep it for a long time!

    Bought 7 weeks ago. LG C2 65inch OLED in early Jan 2023. Best tv ever. Perfect for movies & high quality tv series. Works well in a moderately bright room. Coupled with a good surround sound system (5.1 AV receiver) and you don’t get a better experience. I couldn’t be happier.

    I decided to go for the 65-inch C2 this year. Was going to get a QD-OLED, but Samsung’s inaccuracies and Sony’s lack of gaming features pushed me to LG for at least another 2-3 years. Then I’ll see where QD-OLEDs are at. Very excited for that tech.

    The C1 OLED has an outstanding image quality, and is definitely underrated.
    The perfect screen uniformity and blacks levels makes it really stand out from most TV’s, at a really affordable price tag.
    Also, the C1 has around the same brightness than the C2 in SDR, which is the content that most people will watch more often.
    HDR content looks stunning with vibrant colors, could be little brighter for HDR but you won’t really feel like you need it.
    The C1 has an incredible value, you can get a 65’ at an affordable price tag, it’s a really gorgeous TV.

      Yes, the C1 is a better buy, and in my opinion, it's the better television, picture quality and all.
      Edit: Do not trust customer reviews, especially the ones that I have seen for the C2 on Google. Most of them are fake, and if you see where they come from, you'll understand. There are plenty of reasons why bots or employees will go onto other websites, and they have. In the end, this sounds like a petty justification for buying another television. A 5-star review and the size of the television/sharpness have nothing to do with each other. Unless it is honestly stated and displayed, I would not trust it.

    @r.j.bedore9884 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Long story short, I would like to see a comparison of the G2 vs the C2 to see if it is worth the extra money.
    I don't like the fact that the Samsung S95B QD-OLED has intentionally inaccurate color mapping to look more saturated, even in filmmaker mode, and that it still puts its own tone mapping over top of HGIG tone mapping in games, which can make some parts of the screen look blown out due to the undefeatable second layer of tone mapping. The Sony A95K QD-OLED likely won't have these problems, and I can live with only having two HDMI 2.1 ports, but the roughly $3000 price tag for a 55" TV is hard to justify.
    This leaves me with deciding between a 55" LG G2 and a 55" LG C2. Or, if the benefits of the G2 aren't worth the price difference, then saving a bit more money and dropping down to a 48" C2 since my current TV is only a 42" and jumping up to a 55" in the same space seems almost too big.

Sure the C2 is better but is it $900 better??? Hell no. You're not looking at the bigger picture. Just because something is better doesn't mean it's worth the price premium better. Why buy a C2 when you can buy a C1 which is extremely close to the C2 in performance at only 65% of the price. Apparently these TV:s have problems with uniformity so you (might) need to return once or even more to get a good unit

    What you really should have mentioned is if the C2 is worth the extreme premium over the C1 right now... I highly doubt it. Looks to me like the C1 is 90%+ of the C2 at only 65% the price.

      @@christianmarmol3230 No which is exactly my point. As of right now the C2 is not worth it at all over the C1 since the C1 is 65% of the price and 90% of the performance. Price to performance is everything when it comes to a product unless you're rich and don't care. Which most people aren't. Just speaking facts. The C2 is nowhere near worth it's price right now over the C1. Maybe in the future if they become closer in price, but until then the C1 is the better buy overall.

      Could also have something to do with the content they play on the tv's at the store. They are running top quality provided content for sales purposes. It makes tv's that won't look as good at home due to available content and how it is provided.....direct connect (4k player) versus satellite for example, look as good as it can. So to compare them at the store it should be identical content playing at the same time, otherwise it can be misleading. But I don't know what the other tv is you're looking at so it could just be a solid tv at a good price.
