Just upgraded from my 55" C1 to a 77" C3. What an upgrade! I found the 77" C3 on sale for $2300, and I think it was quite the steal. Definately the right purchase
Just purchased the C3 77 memorial Day sale for $1600. eBay new from official LG retail for 2k and had M day eBay coupon code for 20% off to knock $400 off. Steal imo
I picked up a C3 77" just a few days ago and I'm blown away by the colors, viewing angles and life like viewing experience. I'm still going through all of the inputs and applying the custom adjustments for each decoding/picture mode. We watched out first movie in HDR last night in out of the box cinema mode and it was stunning. I actually turned down the brightness to 75 and lowered the peak brightness to medium as I recall. Room brightness does play a big role here and with all of the lights off these settings worked extremely well. We'll be hiring an ISF calibrator to make the final tweaks once we've owned the television for a few months. We picked up our display from Best Buy after they price matched Amazon and paid just over $2100.00. This is a lot of display for that price and we couldn't be happier.
It was an Amazon Presidents day sale so I do not have a link but Best Buy will price match an amazon sellers sale price as long as it's not a third party amazon seller. Keep an eye on prices and sales.@@paytoncrout8302
I got a C3 55" a couple of months ago and I love it. I paired with a LG S77 soundbar for $300. A very nice bargain. The software updates are not a problem. After one week you barely see any auto update on the screen. I have it in my living room and the light reflection is very minimal. The great angle views makes everybody happy when sitting on the sides. I will be adding a PS5 real soon.
Hi, I'm thinking about a new OLED TV. I have a Sony A90J and its pretty good and the motion is not bad on this panel. However, I was looking at the LG C3 and LG G3 and the G3 in the 65 inch is a remarkable OLED TV. The motion and picture quality on the G3 is amazing, and its a lot brighter than the A90J. I don't think I'll be making a sideways move. It will used in Home Theater applications. Anybody want to buy a Sony A90J?
I just bought this tv yesterday in the 65 inch, I absolutely love it. I’ve never had an oled and I decided it was time to upgrade from a led to an oled. It’s perfect for gaming and the picture quality is better than anything I’ve had before
I just purchased a 48” C3 and am having it wall mounted once it arrived to be used as my PC monitor. 4K 120 Hz is perfect for my gaming use and while I’ve used 240 Hz monitors and can appreciate the slight difference, 120 Hz is still blazing fast on a 4K panel and I really feel no need to wait and pay more for a C4 that can do 144 Hz.
Thinking of doing the same. Now wiht the C4 out, (but more expensive) ,what are your thoughts on the C3 or pushing to the C4 with 144hz refresh? Do you use your with PC, Mac or both. Any tips, thoughts? Happy with it? Thanks!
@@Alsam Hey. I think either one would be a great choice. The games I play don’t usually hit 144 Hz with my RTX 4080 because I max everything out at 4K. So, for me, with my current build, it wouldn’t be entirely worth it. However, if you had a 4090 and a decent CPU, you’d see it go past 120 Hz more often than me. On the other hand, if you can find a C3 for substantially cheaper than a C4, I think it would be a better buy. But, one additional little advantage the C4 has over the C3 is it has its color-boosting algorithm available during game mode I believe. It provides a slight boost to color volume, but it’s not a huge difference at least turning it on and off on my C3 by switching between FMM and Game Mode. For now, I’ve been sticking to Game Mode and using Nvidia’s Digital Vibrance to make colors pop. It doesn’t do the same thing but kind of looks similar.
@@VectorGaming4080 Thanks. I'm a very casual gamer. I would hook my x box though. Would be using as my wfh monitor (have a 32" 4k now). Always enamered with these. Have an opportunity to cash in some airline miles for retail gift cards. Either of these would be a fun use of those.
Bought the 65" C3 in July 2023, paid about the same as the quoted price in this video if you include the cashback in the equation. I love the TV, it's my first OLED and a huge step up in every way compared to the Samsung LCD from 2015 I had. I rarely have issues with it, although I mostly use my Apple TV 4k for playback so I can't speak for the apps that are included. The OS updates have been good though, and I think they even fixed a few Dolby Atmos passthrough issues I experienced early on. One other oft overlooked advantage of the C3, and something that actually played a huge role in choosing this TV, is the fact that the footprint of the stand is very small while still elevating the TV enough for a decent size soundbar to fit under it. I have a Philips Fidelio B97 which is quite the chonker but it fits perfectly in front of the C3 with both the TV and soundbar being completely on my fairly shallow cabinet. No other contender could do that because they all either had a very low elevation (obscuring some of the screen behind the soundbar) or a stand with a very deep footprint (not leaving enough room for the soundbar to fit in front).
Got a 77 C3 this black friday, it's an absolutely incredible tv and I'm not sure what more you could ask for honestly. It's almost perfect, I guess UI and stuff can always be improved but even now the UI and menus are GREAT. It's a fantastic tv.
I took the plunge at the end of March 24 and bought a C3 at a good discount, the next day the price dropped very slightly ( £16 / $20) but the offer of 12 months interest free payments had been withdrawn. Now LG have announced the prices for the C4 and no surprise they are no cheaper than the C3 was at launch. resulting in the C3 prices going back up again! crazy or what? As for the differences, the higher price is just not worth it, we will have to wait until this time next year to see how low the prices go. I will keep the C3 for a few years until there is a big difference compared to the newer models. I highly recommend it, if you have the money the Sony is mostly still the best, but the difference is not worth the extra price tag to me.
Just purchased the 77 " C3 today memorial Day sale on eBay new from official LG retailer. They had it for 2k but eBay had a 20% off Mday coupon that knocked additional $400 off. Paid $1600, couldn't resist. Steal imo
Totally agree with LG needing to lower the cost - Got a C3 65inch in the Black Friday sales, managed to get it for £300-£400 less than the competition and it was absolutely worth it - but if the prices were closer and I didn’t get such a discount I would probably have gone for the Sony due to their handling of motion processing. Don’t regret my purchase at all but it is definitely something LG should be thinking about doing to stay competitive
Buddy, I'm saving for a C3 for Black Friday later in the year and much like the other commenters, I'd like to know how much it WAS and how much you got it for?? Ta
Got the C3 48” today after considering the A2 & C2. John Lewis had a returned C3 so went for it at £850 (new is currently £1189) with the JL usual 5 yr warranty. Really impressed so far despite it being our very 1st LG (always bought Sony & Samsung in the past)
£850 for a 48” C3 is a great price. I just picked one up in the US for $1050 and it’s a really stunning TV. It makes a great monitor for my RTX 4080 gaming rig, and just a great TV to watch movies on.
My advice is to do your homework! Be patient! The C3 65" for $1100 plus Tax and no extended warranty is what I did. It's a bit of a gamble, but I am a gambler, and frugal. Love the C3!
Exactly right in time, I ordered my C3 yesterday. I also compared watching with Sony X90L,A80L and Samsung s90C in person Oh boy!! OLED is really stunning!!! Regarding to the price to performance , I chose LG over other brands because LG is currently only 1300 for 55” and only 1050 for 48”.
Looking at the A80L as well as the C3. Definitely liking the C3 atm. The samsung S90C bit too bright out of the box for me. Sony A80L a lot more expensive in Australia right now as well. If the Sony A80L and the C3 were the same price, would be a hard decision for sure.
HELLLLLL of a value. Snagged a 65” for $1599 plus 4% cash back at Costco. Plus a free additional 3 years of warranty included to take it to 5 years. Compared to my 2 year old 65” c1 in my living room it’s noticeably brighter, way faster processor, and just overall smoother.
Picked up a 77” C3 on an early Black Friday sale. Straight from the box with a couple tweaks and the PQ is stunning, especially at this size. Can’t wait to dial in the settings more and enjoy some UHD Blu-Rays on it during Xmas break.
To clarify, I have been researching and shopping in the 77" OLED Television range for awhile now. Until I watched your review on the awesome trio: Sony A95L vs. Samsung S95C vs. LG-G3 | Best OLED of 2023, I didn't realize Sony was really a contender in OLED. But now, I am absolutely SOLD on the Sony A95L, but unfortunately is above my pay grade (especially in Canadian $'s). Then in THIS LG C3 OLED TV REVIEW, you confirmed everything I was thinking after pricing the LG-G3 and the Samsung S95C that the Quality differences are so negligent and the price difference significant, buying the LG-C3 is a no brainer. To be clear, although everyone of course loves a good deal, we are not just shopping price, as we realize these are higher end TV's. We do have to have a quality Television to follow the Pioneer Elite plasma series and AV Elite Receivers we enjoyed back in the day. Before I absolutely decide on the LG-C3, I will have to find your comparative video on the Sony A80L vs LG-C3. Really enjoying your very informative reviews. I appreciate you using technical terminology I understand with a reality spin that these are all fine Televisions.
Just bought the C3 77" at Costco in Canada with 2 years warranty included. Added a Google Chromecast 4K with Google TV. Turned off energy saving and all the "IA" settings to use only Filmmaker mode. The image quality is amazing. My only complaint is for PC gaming, there is known issue with LG OLED displays losing the G-Sync VRR handshake. Other than that, it's amazing.
Great comments at the end Caleb! Adding a heatsink or a MLA with reduced brightness would also give LG a competitive advantage over Samsung and Sony. You're right that they are lacking a competitive advantage right now as the S90C and A80L are similarly priced and the competition is very tough in this market. LG has been the clear feature leader in this category for a while.
I bought a 77” C3 back in May and I’ve been loving it. I think your review is fair. I went with the C3 over the S90C because I trust the C3 to just work without firmware issues like Samsungs have had in the past. I also wanted Dolby Vision and the jury is still out on QD-OLED burn-in risk. I think the C3 is the best all-arounder but it’s true that the competition has improved in a few areas
I think where LG kills it is in the small OLED market. Like the 42” OLED is an amazing 42” or 48” monitor for way less that other OLED’s of that size. It’s an absolute niche killer I think.
I bought this TV Saturday and it will be here Wednesday. I’m excited to finally have an OLED in my living room after having OLED strictly in my bedroom at the time. Since OLED is getting brighter I can finally have it in my living room.
@@Moose185 So far it's been great. No problems at all. Love the picture quality. I use it for video games and playing 4K DVDs and it works perfectly for me.
@@TheTruelakersfanThe Sony A75L has the same panel, processor, and OS as the A80L. The sacrifice is the built-in audio (2.0 Channel vs 3.2 in the A80), the Google Assistant is only on the remote (Built-in mic on the A80), and the stand is not adjustable (3-Way stand on the A80). The 65” A75L is $1499 and the 55” is $1199
I did the same considered the LG 77” C3 but ended with the Samsung S90C 77” being in special a little cheaper I was comparing and considering both before.
@@albertobetancourt7133which one is better s90c or LG c3 if both come at same price? I am getting both for same price but can't decide which one to choose
I got my LG 77 C3 a few months ago and I do love it. One HUGE issue though, with my LG C3 connected to the HDMI2 eARC port to my Denon AVR-S970H HDMI out port with a Nvidia Shield TV plugged into the receiver, the TV will just power off and get the 'LG life is good logo' in the middle of watching via the Shield TV and it will do this up to almost every 5 minutes after turning it back on. I have tired turning off all the HDMI CEC settings in the TV (the receiver already has them off due to using a Harmony remote) and weirdly the sound from the shield goes to the TV speakers instead of the receiver 5.1.2 speaker setup, which makes zero sense. I had a LG tech out to my house and nothing is wrong with the tv either. I finally just had to use HDMI 1 port on the TV, which loses the ability to use any of the LG apps, including TH-cam HDR, but it is better than a TV turning off randomly. My LG 65 C8 didn't have any of these issues it replaced.
Absolutely right about getting help installing the tv. Hit mine (a C2) on the side that causes the screen to have some issues. Not visible during content but barely with some test pattern. Got mine ex-demo at the price of an X90l which is not a contest for me. Still have 2 years on warranty and had already more than 6000 hours without problems (other than what I did). Happy holidays everyone.
Just bought this TV, 65 inch C3 from Coscto for $1299 with a 5 year warranty (Free), with tax the total was $1400. Only had a delivery option, the TV will be here this weekend just in time to watch F1 Vegas!
I returned my 75" Sony X93L after one month, exchanging it for the 77" LG C3. I've had it for 2 weeks and I love it. the MiniLED in the Sony just isn't there yet (apparently the X95L is?). Blooming was present, and no matter what I did with display settings, I could not get better upscaling of lesser quality content. The LG C3 has completely removed any buyers remorse for the exact same price. I will note that had the Sony A80L been the same price, I would have gone for that, but it was $200 more and a $2,500 TV is more than enough to spend on a TV imho. I also have a 55" LG GX in my bedroom, which probably made it impossible to go back to an LED.
I think you made the right choice choosing the C3 over the A80L. It’s brighter and generally better in almost every way. FYI, the 77 inch C3 is currently priced at $2,300 everywhere. Might want to see if you can get a price match now.
The price is the real issue here....this technology is around for almost 16 years and its still really expensive. We may find a solution for curing cancer but will never see a cheap Oled .

Had my 55” C3 for about two weeks now. Loving it for daily use with games & shows/movies from my Xbox series X. Upgraded from a Samsung TU7000 that died after 2.5 years
I'm in Australia currently these are the prices. Am I missing something because the LG C3 seems like a fantastic deal. Samsung 65" S90C = $4295 AUD Sony 65" A80L = $3795 AUD LG 65" OLED C3 = $2888 AUD
I'm going to save everyone a lot of time and hassle. Get the C3 over the G3, S90C, and A80L. I have owned all 4 of these TV's and the C3 is the best overall. The S90C looks great with 4k HDR demo videos, and looks like hot garbage with lower quality content. If you watch a lot of TH-cam or cable you will hate this TV. And the motion is weird on it too. Gaming was unplayable due to motion. The G3 looks superb with 4k HDR demo videos, and looks very good with lower quality content. If you watch a lot of TH-cam or cable you will love this TV. Motion is fantastic. Too bright for my environment though, and too pricey. Didn't game on it. The A80L looks very good with 4k HDR demo videos, and looks very good with lower quality content. If you watch a lot of TH-cam or cable you will love this TV. Motion is fantastic. HDR needs to be brighter. The unit I received was defective. Cut off by itself and changed inputs occasionally for no reason. Didn't game on it. Menu was very sluggish. The C3 looks nearly as superb as the G3 with 4k HDR demo videos, and looks very good with lower quality content. If you watch a lot of TH-cam or cable you will love this TV. Motion is fantastic. Gaming is awesome. The most watchable TV out of the 4 I have owned the past 3 months.
C3 and G3 look identical. If you really pay attention. The g3 shines in dark scenes/shadows and detail is slightly better than c3. As far as brightness goes on the G3. You can always lower that down to your liking. I personally love the A80L. The natural clarity and detail is superb. It’s literally a movie screen in your home. In my opinion it competes with the G3. Only downfall A80L is doesn’t get as bright and G3 is brighter in dark scenes/shadows.
Thanks I've been going over lots of videos and looking at the overall specs between the C3 and the SC90 and I think this just reinforces what I've been seeing. I was really tempted to get the SC90 because of the higher refresh rate with 4k gaming but overall my gaming is much less compared to the sports and streaming i'll be watching on it. The motion is the biggest factor for me so this just helps solidify my decision. Want to see if there will be a bigger discount this upcoming weeks so I can pull the trigger an buy one.
I've had my 65" C3 for almost two months now. What a fantastic TV for the money. I use it for a bit of everything-- gaming, movies, sports-- and it all looks great. My only regret is that I waited so long to upgrade from my ancient Vizio. Holy crap these modern OLEDs are nice. I opted for the C3 for gaming reasons (plus I liked the stand), but honestly its competitors impressed me too.
Man i leaned towards this tv because of the stand design hahahah. Its the nicest out there IMO.. not a fan of the wide legs.. then youre much more limited with your current tv stand..
@@1975mastergames I am really happy with it!. Picture is clear and more than bright enough for my dungeon., OS is easy and intuitive. No regrets on this purchase at all.
I'm eagerly awaiting the specs on the C4. As of now I'm planning on buying a 42" C4 for a monitor. I will keep my eyes open for other competitors though.
Picked up the 42" C3 on black Friday to use as a PC monitor. It was either C3 42" for $899 or the Alienware/Dell 34" QD-OLED for $799. Still getting used to using the C3 as a monitor, hope I made the right choice.
That's so weird lol... I was literally in the exact same situation trying to choose between the two as well. I went for the C3 42 and so far I've been loving it. I was worried it was too big when I pulled it out the box, but once I fired up a game, I was immersed like never before. Returnal looks gorgeous on it. Stunning display! Edit: Like the other commenter, I too upgraded from a 27" IPS (LG 27GL850) It feels so massive lmao
I bought the C3KNA as a 42inch for about 1000 Dollars, including wallmount + installation from delivery guys directly sent by LG. I do not think theres ALOT of price margin for LG to go much lower for the time being, considering how we have seemingly no issue to pay 1500-2500 dollars for a smartphone.
I upgraded my 55" CX to a 65" C3, and I couldn't be happier. All of these TVs are a give/take on features, picture quality, etc. but I find the C3 to be the sweet spot. I was afraid that the C3 was going to just be my CX part 2, but no. It's a noticeable upgrade in brightness, color, and features. I thought about the S90C, but seeing as I use the TV for movies and gaming, the absence of Dolby Vision on the S90C was a no-go for me. The C3 just does everything well. And the constant software updates and bug fixes will give this thing life that the Samsung or Sony TVs probably won't have.
Not sure where your comment at 1:00 comes from? The C3 only hits 90% of the other TV's you mentioned? Really? Where did that come from? Every professional review I've watched or read, all say that the C3 is a better OLED than the Sony A80L or the Samsung S90C. I love Sony panels and have 5 LED's from them, but even with the marketing waffle of 'X-Clear', etc. the A80L is just too dim to consider for an OLED. It may not be night & day differences, but C3 is definitely the better and more obvious choice here. If LG is only at "90%", then Sony is at about 70%...
I picked up a 77” C3 in Nov and so far everything has been great. One question I have is whether I should use the native apps (Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc.) using LG's Web OS or would I have better performance using my Firestick Max?
This is the TV i want. I've been price checking nearly every day for a couple of months. It's gone up by £100 today from my preferred seller. Probably so they can claim it's gone down by 100 in a few weeks😂. I'm willing to wait for the January sales to see if it gets any closer to £1000.
You literally forgot to talk about Samsung S89C that you've promised in the beginning 0:55😅 Btw you should make a dedicated video about the S89C, that TV is sure interesting
My local dealer had the G1 65",on a clearance sale,at more than 50% off.I think this was a good deal.Don't think I am missing anything important with not having the C3.
The LG has been my choice of TV (OLED) specifically for about 6yrs. Now. My main tv (65-B8) still looks as gorgeous as the day i bought it. Hours of games, movies, sports, you name it. Recently bought a 48-C3 to have as a "nerd room" TV\monitor. Much like my B8, once tou get it setup to your liking, its seriously incredible. Sony, and JVC before it were always my choices in the past for CRT, and LCD respectively. Still have a Sony X900E pulling bedroom duty. I do visual maintenance on flight simulators with full test kits, etc. I know a good picture when I see one. And the OLEDs LG has been putting out for years now are what we used to call professional level. The C3 has been on a sale of some sort for nearly 6m now. So that's nice. Sony definitely does have the motion processing down pat for sure though lol. Great review, cheers.
I got a 65” C3 last month and thus far quite like it. It fits my mixed cinema + gaming use pretty well, looking fantastic while doing either. I definitely considered the S90C, but I think the gaming performance tipped me over to the C3. Was interesting to hear your perspective
I am looking for the best tv for gaming and watching 4k uhd disk and I think I’m gonna go for a C3 when I save up a bit. There just doesn’t seem to be another tv with such good gaming features without any other compromises.
@@adriant.7457 Nothing. LG used to have the best game mode and had proper implementation for things like HGIG but other companies have caught up and even surpassed LG in some ways. S90c is the best for TV gaming right now.
First OLED is better than any other option when it comes to gaming oled panels react faster to images so perfect for gaming, also LG has a good interface and options for gaming and for me it that it has 4 HDMI 2.1 that was the selling point for me perfect for multiple consoles and I think there are some home teathers that need the HDMI 2.1, most TVs only come with 2 @@adriant.7457

i got the LG C355 yesterday at a discount along with the LG Wallmount kit for free. these TVs get more discount as soon as their apparent replacement is announced or near release.
Having 4 HDMI 2.1 ports is a big plus for C3. In competition offerings, even more premium ones, 2 HDMI 2.1 ports (plus one sacrificed to eARC in most), simply does not make any sense in 2023.
The only use case is like mine, for permanent home cinema with an amplifier with HDMI control. So all devices plug into the amps x6 HDMIs and you only need one for the TV. TBH I'd still buy 4x hdmi over x2 hdmi. Seems wrong and cheap to only have 2 ports
My Samsung's backlight failed after a few years-- and apparantly this is an extremely common problem with them and it usually happens just after the warranty runs out and Samsung does nothing to help its customers so I am now looking for alternatives and will never go back to Samsung. Perhaps it's time to give LG a try..
I was viewing a bunch of tvs the other day. C3 is difficult to justify. For the same price or less you can get an s90C or even an S95C if you shop around. The G3 is muuuch brighter than the C3. That’s the only tv in LG’s lineup that really stands out. But the price is too high. Anyway, just my own personal random thoughts. Hopefully LG will have a more competitive lineup in ‘24.
That's a fair read of things. However, I was able to get an 83" C3 for $2,999 and to me that's enough to change the value calculation. Hundreds less than a 77" G3, and there are no MLA or QD OLED panels in this size to tempt me away from it.
Samsungs motion sucks and screen blacks out, and I have returned every samsung tv I had. Their quality control is trash. LG G3 comes with 5year warranty. Samsung nothing.
@@marvel764the motion honestly isn’t bad. I have the 77 s90c and a 65 a95k and I can’t tell much of a difference. As far as blackouts the s90c doesn’t have the one connect box so I don’t have issues with black out.
The fit and finish of the C3 and G3 are crazy good I had never considered a LG tv I have a pioneer Elite plasma that has been a great tv but starting to look around and the fit and finish is huge to me the salesman put put his foot on the wall and pulled hard and pushed hard on the C3 LG it flexed in and out and was fine I was blown away I am just waiting to see if the G3 77 goes on sale it’s super clean made well it mounts so flat and has no reflection issues and an art mode I was really impressed with the quality of the LG C3 and G3 but the G3 has probably the best picture and features I’ve seen yet and both are built very well
I don't about burn-in but I have the C3 and Samsung S90C and I prefer to game on Samsung S90C. The games look so much better and I have calibrated my TV to not have any fake color pop that Samsung TVs usually have. I owned LG C7 and then replaced it with LG C9 and then replaced that with LG C3 recently. I am not some LG hater saying this. I am thinking of returning the C3 and just buying the A80L to watch low bit rate content.
Perfect timing on video, just bought my C3 couple days ago and comes in tomorrow! Got 42 inch for $899 at Costco for my bedroom with free 5 year warranty. Wanted the A90K but couldn’t justify the $400 price difference plus $100-300 ext warranty since Costco doesn’t sell it. If they release a badass c4 I can’t resist or lower price on a90k I got 90 days to return. I don’t think the diff will be that major
About the only major improvement they could make to it is to put MLA tech on the C4 otherwise I suspect all you will see is perhaps some processing improvements and if that is the case they better lower the price like Caleb said in this video.
The C4 won't have MLA. LG wouldn't canibalize its own upcoming G4 series. But according to AMD, the C4 will have a 144 Hz panel. It also will have the new a10 processor with the new NPU (neural processing unit), which may contain more AI processing features.
I’ve used nearly every baked-in TV UI and I pretty much hate them all. Even with the latest processor it’s STILL laggy. Some are obviously better than others. This is why I just use an Apple TV. Is it the greatest UI or remote? No. But it’s absurdly fast due to the overpowered processors Apple puts in them.
For me, the SONY A80L is the best choice, if I want a TV for my needs and I don't need any higher brightness and it is important to have a TV with the best UPSCALING image, this is the most important thing to me and no brightness and all possible connections etc....... A TV that will be watched in 90% SDR mode and will show a much worse quality of the broadcast image, so it must be such a TV that does super upscaling in motion image. Next year, as some rumors suggest, Sony may install even MLA panels in the A80M series, and then it will be interesting.
On point. I got the Samsung S90C because it had the same price once discounted for Black Friday and I considered the QD-Oled panel to be worth it vs not getting Dolby Vision. I'm loving it so far, coupled with an Apple TV to avoid the bloated OSs that these come with.
I bought my first OLED a month ago and it was a 77 C3, spent all my savings on it, I found it almost perfect except for the fact that it does not get along too well with my old DENON receiver through ARC, my receiver is form the ARC (not eARC) generation and every video native app pass digital audio in Dolby Digital Plus in Auto or Passthrough mode, which my receiver does not support over ARC, I wish I had the option for regular Dolby Digital or old DTS formats in ARC, I'm stuck on PCM stereo for all those video apps. : (
Sometimes you buy a tv because of how it “fits” you, and this was why I bought it a few days ago. My wife and daughter are the main viewers and they’re happy. It came with the perfect stand, and inputs located on the correct side, unlike Samsung. Silly, but convenient. Also, the old videophile in me put on Top Gun Maverick, cranked the 20 yr old M&K system, and along with my daughter, was blown away. So, it may have its faults, but it also does the job. And, the 65” model was $2000 cheaper than the original 50” plasma it replaced. Go figure. The only real complaint is it’s very source dependent. The fubo streamed hockey game looked awful. I may still play around with more settings, but since everything else looks perfectly fine, I may not. Great video. Finally something I own and can comment about….ha. 🎄🤪👍🏳️🌈
I found the same issue in image quality when streaming FuboTV. Switched to TH-cam TV and image quality improved by a lot. Not sure if it has to do with the image quality the streaming services provide but it’s worth taking a look at. Hope this helps.
@@EDGARGARCIA-pj2vd Actually it seems to be very channel specific, with root sports (Seattle) being the culprit. Also, it was the long camera shots that were the worst, with a lot of pixelated images. Close up shots were fine. Other channels were better….still experimenting with stuff. Thanks for sharing your experience, it’s appreciated. Cheers
Just an update. I was waiting to watch hockey on TNT via Sling tv, and it’s night and day compared to root sports on fubo. So, as stated previously, it’s a very source dependent tv, and I’m thrilled with everything. Not gonna worry about what I can’t control. 🎄🤪🇨🇦
Still have my B7 OLED from 2017. From someone whom always got a new TV every year prior to this OLED, this was the first TV that stopped that cycle since. I did have to get my panel replaced under extended warranty in year 4 due to burn in, but it has since been like new. Hoping the burn in doesn't set in for another couple years or longer. This will be the longest I have ever had a piece of technology. The only complaint is the aging WebOS but I don't use it and never did. An Apple TV has been doing that work since day 1. I still to this day, have very little desire to upgrade as the picture blows me away as it did 6 years ago. And I really can't notice the difference with the new ones. LG has really dropped the ball in all that time they had exclusivity with larger OLEDs. The pricing should be MUCH lower by now. And they should be owning the entire TV market. There should be 27 and 32" UHD OLED smart monitors as well at a reasonable price.
Seeing that S90C footage made me excited for a possible review from you. Been wanting that these past couple of months I’ve been looking in this price range.
I'm considering purchasing an LG TV for gaming on my console and watching movies. I've come across information suggesting that the C4 model will be hitting the market in one or two months, so I believe the wisest decision would be to hold off until its release and assess the reviews and comparisons between the two models. Who knows, with the C4's arrival, there might be a drop in the price of the C3 as you mentioned!
For anyone looking at a C3, Nebraska Furniture Mart currently has the 83" for $2,999. You have to add to cart to see that price but it's legit, just bought one myself.
Hi, which tv brand is better with Apple devices specifically with Apple TV? LG or Samsung? My current setup is a Samsung S95B OLED with Apple TV and Samsung Q950A soundbar both connected to the TV. Audio pass-through from Apple TV to Soundbar via E-Arc port on the TV. I have noticed some issues with volume control where Apple TV remote stops working with the soundbar and have to reconnect the remote to fix this. Samsung TV gaming mode doesn’t turn off automatically when I switch from PS5 to Apple TV.
Hey, Caleb, I just wanted to once again comment on the outstanding production values you guys offer. I watch your reviews on my 55" LG SM8600 (we have gig fiber to the home), and they simply look glorious. Camera quality, lightning, music...you guys are spot on, across the board. Thank you for all you do for us in the AV Nerd (TM) Community. My wife and I will likely get our first OLED this spring. I'm looking forward to revisiting some of my favorite UHD BDs once we upgrade!

Still running a LG C8 OLED from 2018, still impresses me every time. Runs like new from day 1. No burn in, no issues. It’s perfect.
I've got a C1 from a couple years ago and it's still amazing to me.
My LG C8 still looks remarkable and without any signs of burn-in after 4.5 years.
Same. My c8 still looks awesome. Only features i miss are vrr, hdmi eARC and 120hz.
For how long do you use it per day?
same, C8, 4+ years and counting
Just picked up C3 77” for $1500! So excited

Got one also
I ordered one for in stock pickup, supposedly Tuesday but then Best Buy notified it wasn't available for pickup yet. Hoping it doesn't get cancelled
Just upgraded from my 55" C1 to a 77" C3. What an upgrade! I found the 77" C3 on sale for $2300, and I think it was quite the steal. Definately the right purchase

@@bryanlivingston1842 I am eyeing that deal 1500$ is amazing deal. how do you like it so far?
This is a lot of display for that price and we couldn't be happier.
no way man! do you still have the link or the screenshot of the C3 you price matched with?
It was an Amazon Presidents day sale so I do not have a link but Best Buy will price match an amazon sellers sale price as long as it's not a third party amazon seller. Keep an eye on prices and sales.@@paytoncrout8302
Bought it now as a PC monitor. Couldn’t be happier with it.
Any burn in? Do you use it for movies and tv too? Lmk how those are.
Same Here, just got a good deal $600 for a 42" C3 OLED IS THE KING !
Same here ad 4K 120hertz. 🥰
I recently bought the c3 42’ strictly for the ps5 & movies/shows. It’s mounted right above my dwf 34’ ultra wide. I really enjoy my tv
A C3 and an Alienware Ultrawide...two great OLEDs,you are living my dream lol
It’s perfect for gaming and the picture quality is better than anything I’ve had before
How is the motion handling. Is gaming nice and smooth?. Thanks.

I picked up a C2 in the summer and I have no regrets. Definitely worth it. Especially if it’s on sale.
Ile zapłaciłeś w promocji? Dzis moge kupić c3 w promocji za 1100 $ jakieś 4500 zl.
Thanks for sharing this very perceptive insight. I was wondering this for my Nagamichi soundbar.
Replaced a 65" Samsung Q90T QLED with an 77" C3...freaking love the C3.
My mom just got her 65inch C3 last week. INCREDIBLE 🔥
Got a 77 C3 this black friday, it's an absolutely incredible tv and I'm not sure what more you could ask for honestly. It's almost perfect, I guess UI and stuff can always be improved but even now the UI and menus are GREAT. It's a fantastic tv.
And the evo panel is SIGNIFICANTLY brighter than even a 2 year old c1. Phenomenal value
How much u pay for that 77 C3 on BF? Considering one, thanks
I took the plunge at the end of March 24 and bought a C3 at a good discount, the next day the price dropped
very slightly ( £16 / $20) but the offer of 12 months interest free payments had been withdrawn.
Now LG have announced the prices for the C4 and no surprise they are no cheaper than the C3 was at launch.
resulting in the C3 prices going back up again! crazy or what?
As for the differences, the higher price is just not worth it, we will have to wait until this time next year to see how low
the prices go.
I will keep the C3 for a few years until there is a big difference compared to the newer models.
I highly recommend it, if you have the money the Sony is mostly still the best, but the difference is not worth the extra
price tag to me.
Just purchased the 77 " C3 today memorial Day sale on eBay new from official LG retailer. They had it for 2k but eBay had a 20% off Mday coupon that knocked additional $400 off. Paid $1600, couldn't resist. Steal imo
@@TheVendeada101 A great buy at that price, i hope you are happy with it.
How much did you pay?

Went from 14 year old Sony 60 inch 3D TV to a 77 inch G2.

Got the C3 48” today after considering the A2 & C2. John Lewis had a returned C3 so went for it at £850 (new is currently £1189) with the JL usual 5 yr warranty. Really impressed so far despite it being our very 1st LG (always bought Sony & Samsung in the past)
I don't think the 42 and 48" have the Evo, however, I have. 42" and its very very bright.
£850 for a 48” C3 is a great price. I just picked one up in the US for $1050 and it’s a really stunning TV. It makes a great monitor for my RTX 4080 gaming rig, and just a great TV to watch movies on.
@@michael-4k4000 Where can you know that? I don't think there are any differences other than size, no?
My advice is to do your homework! Be patient! The C3 65" for $1100 plus Tax and no extended warranty is what I did. It's a bit of a gamble, but I am a gambler, and frugal. Love the C3!
I got the 65 LG C3 for $1299 which I think is the lowest price I have seen it sell for. Amazing TV.

Got a C3 77 from the partner store. Fantastic deal. Love the TV
Got my 55" C3 for $750 at Target, just sitting there with a 50% off clearance tag on it. Don't think I could've done much better.

Still using my C7 for over 6 years now with almost 8000 hours running time. Picture quality is as amazing as on the first day.

The LG C9 that I have from 2019 still does very well too. The picture quality is still amazing, just wish the OLED prices would come down.

Samsung 65" S90C = $4295 AUD
Sony 65" A80L = $3795 AUD
LG 65" OLED C3 = $2888 AUD
I have had my C2 for a little over a year and love it. I will not go back to LCD unless it is a high end model.
What are your settings for gaming if you don’t mind sharing
Man i leaned towards this tv because of the stand design hahahah. Its the nicest out there IMO.. not a fan of the wide legs.. then youre much more limited with your current tv stand..
Which one is better s90c or LG c3 65 inch
@@vihari0007 colours are actually nicer on the C3.
@@JLBA14 which is better in regard to picture quality of streaming services. I use tv for watching movies and sports.
After several months of contemplating which TV to ultimately get, I have decided on getting the LG C3. Thank you for the fantastic review!
im currently waiting on delivery of a 65" C3, my first OLED. pretty stoked
Did it live up to the hype?
@@1975mastergames I am really happy with it!. Picture is clear and more than bright enough for my dungeon., OS is easy and intuitive. No regrets on this purchase at all.
Got mine about month ago 65” previus owned Bravia A9G and C3 all the way by far. LG got customer for life best panel i ever had.
I'm eagerly awaiting the specs on the C4. As of now I'm planning on buying a 42" C4 for a monitor. I will keep my eyes open for other competitors though.
Just got a 55 c3 from best buy for $692... what a steal
Picked up the 42" C3 on black Friday to use as a PC monitor. It was either C3 42" for $899 or the Alienware/Dell 34" QD-OLED for $799. Still getting used to using the C3 as a monitor, hope I made the right choice.
Also bought a 42in C2 for PC use and I love it coming from a 27jn IPS monitor. No neck issues for me and I use a 70cm deep desk.
Just need to press win key + alt + B to enable HDR.
In Kuwait
Lg c3 42inch
It’s 1,500$
Agreed on the Dolby vision.
Just ordered the LG C3. Thanks for your review.
bought the LG C3 65in for $1090 this black friday. Can't wait to see how this looks!
I picked up a 77” C3 in Nov and so far everything has been great. One question I have is whether I should use the native apps (Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc.) using LG's Web OS or would I have better performance using my Firestick Max?
My question as well.
For me at least for TH-cam TV, the native apps have better quality
I got a steal at Best Buy. Bought a 48” C3 OLED for $600! I’m so lucky.
Open box?
This is the TV i want. I've been price checking nearly every day for a couple of months. It's gone up by £100 today from my preferred seller.
Probably so they can claim it's gone down by 100 in a few weeks😂.
I'm willing to wait for the January sales to see if it gets any closer to £1000.
Just picked up a 77" at Best Buy for $1499.
You literally forgot to talk about Samsung S89C that you've promised in the beginning 0:55😅
Btw you should make a dedicated video about the S89C, that TV is sure interesting
Recently everyone forget Samsung 🏃♂️🏃♂️😂
I've bought 3 different sized C3s in the last 12 months... what can I say, I am a fan!
My local dealer had the G1 65",on a clearance sale,at more than 50% off.I think this was a good deal.Don't think I am missing anything important with not having the C3.
How much?
@@beammeupscottsp7952 It was R26000 in South Africa,in Dollars I think around $1390.
What's in it for C3 that makes it so good for gaming?
Thanks!
@@adriant.7457 Nothing. LG used to have the best game mode and had proper implementation for things like HGIG but other companies have caught up and even surpassed LG in some ways. S90c is the best for TV gaming right now.
VRR, 120hz, hdmi connections, game mode that shows FPS etc@@adriant.7457
First OLED is better than any other option when it comes to gaming oled panels react faster to images so perfect for gaming, also LG has a good interface and options for gaming and for me it that it has 4 HDMI 2.1 that was the selling point for me perfect for multiple consoles and I think there are some home teathers that need the HDMI 2.1, most TVs only come with 2 @@adriant.7457
My first ever OLED was a Sony A80J. I bought on yours and others recommendation and I like the Google TV OS. I still Love it. I can't wait to see where all this is going. OLED is easily the best tech now, Maybe Micro LED will beat it or electro lumen Quantum dots. TV's still have a ton to improve upon. Thanks for your video's.
I also have the a80j and I love it too, got it really cheap last April when the prices bottom out before the new models come in.
@@lukehawkins9443 Nice!!
How does it handle upscaling?
@@MarkNOTW works great!
I just purchased my sony 83A80L :) to replace my 65GZ2000 ^^ will be delivered in 3 days
Hope i made the right choice over the 77A95L and 77MZ2000 since i wanted something a little bit bigger without breaking the bank
I love my A80L. I only have the 55 inch but the 83 inch should be great!
Just Ordered LG c3 77 from Costco.. thanks for your balanced reviews!
i got the LG C355 yesterday at a discount along with the LG Wallmount kit for free. these TVs get more discount as soon as their apparent replacement is announced or near release.
I pulled the trigger on a 77" C3 with all of the sales going on but I had to go with a Roku over the LG's OS.
Same here... Roku hands down. You still get all the smart TV functionality without the overload of junk included with Web OS
My Samsung's backlight failed after a few years-- and apparantly this is an extremely common problem with them and it usually happens just after the warranty runs out and Samsung does nothing to help its customers so I am now looking for alternatives and will never go back to Samsung. Perhaps it's time to give LG a try..
Watching this review on C3.
B7A 65, no vertical banding, no burn in - just keep the brightness down. I've had it for 7-8 years now?
I have s93c and cx. Love them both A lot.
C4 will be introduced in a few weeks, what improvements if we wait for the new model?
Just purchased the 65 for 1200 and also bought a surround sound 5.1 arrives tomorow 😮
Would you say the A80L is bright enough for SDR viewing? Mine would be in my basement. Also, is dolby vision bright enough in your opinion? Thx!
I'm hearing lg TVs are not great for allowing downloading of necessary apps. Like spectrum TV app or Bally sports app?
On point. I got the Samsung S90C because it had the same price once discounted for Black Friday and I considered the QD-Oled panel to be worth it vs not getting Dolby Vision. I'm loving it so far, coupled with an Apple TV to avoid the bloated OSs that these come with.
It has a great picture, but we watch a ton of Netflix and other streaming platforms with Dolby vision so the c3 won
C3 HAS POP 3D THAN S90C@@besticandogolf5901
