I own a 2022 Beta 200rr. Fantastic trail bike. I’ve almost never felt like I needed more power. Getting another 200 soon but I will be getting the race edition this time. Happy Trails
Great review, I lowered my 300 TPI 30mm and it made a huge differenceto the way the bike rides, handling etc, But being short I would go the 200 all day long, easier to ride, don't need to spend money on lowering etc. AND if I want more power, a clutch weight and a high comp head will help with that 👍
Some say the beta 200 is the new aged KDX 200. Have you ever ridden one? I have a 2004 KDX 200 and a 1995 KDX 200. They have taken me places people only dream about. Old school technology but it’s arguably one of the best woods weapons ever made.
Do you think if you lower the KTM it would be a great deal easier to manipulate? Yes, you will lose some travel but the WP is probably still superior the Sachs. The beta looks good on paper, when I rode one it felt old school. Great vid fellas!
Yes the KTM would be easier to manipulate if it had a lower seat height. You are right the beta has the old school feel to it and really isn’t in the same performance level as the KTM, it’s just so lovable even thought it doesn’t stack up to the KTMs. I really really enjoy the 200 motor for my riding abilities it’s in a sweet spot. I wish ktm would make a a 200 XCW and 200xc I would own them.
Sometimes old tech is preferred for reliability. Like why the Toyota 4Runner is so popular. It’s slowly progressed with reliability in mind, not making huge jumps in generations like the new Tundra or Tacoma.
Both great bikes but I’ll always choose lower CCs than higher as the ride is simply more fun. Btw, I always find it odd when riders choose ‘luggability’ over clutch action. Why are we even riding dirt bikes if we wanted ‘easy’? I’d just off-road my heavily modified 4Runner if that’s what I wanted. I don’t want a bike that carries me along easily uphill. I want the experience of becoming one with a bike to get the absolute most out of it, manipulating every lever I can to crest the hill. That’s dirt biking.
thats tough if I rode just single track and hard enduro I would go with the Beta but we ride all sorts of terrain so the YZ250FX is a better do it all bike.
@@dirtbikesam Not a baby. The e-start has changed riding. You can work your way up a difficult section bit by bit or metre by metre. Hard enduro prob wouldn't exist without it.
Comment below what bike you would choose

We would like to get a 200 race edition as well

All great points. Thanks for your input. I have wondered what a high comp head would do for the 200RR
I also own a husky 150, totally capable and fun as hell
Yeah the 150 is high in the list
Seems like they way to go 150TE > x trainer
Seeing some of the new betas would be sweet ✌️
They are on our list
@@dirtbikesam will keep my eyes peeled, thanks for the content!
I’ll take the carb bike 👍🏻

No I haven’t ridden a KDX yet, I’ll buy one when I find one in good shape

I’d take the 200 most trails we have it’s perfect for
Yeah big fan of the 200 for slow technical single track
@@dirtbikesam yep and love that it’s street legal and oil injected

Yeah a lower CC bike is really fun to ride for sure. Yeah I feel like everyone needs to including myself to work on better clutch control.
Hey try out the x trainer 300
That’s a good idea
why can't we keep all the bikes....
Agreed
If you could only have one, Beta 200 or 250FX, which would you choose.

Beta 300 Xtrainer
I want to try one!
Nah had one, the 200 is a much better weapon!
I would like to see a KTM 150 ,or a beta X Trainer 300 !
Good choices
I build courses for folks I’d love to come out
Beta 300x
Yeah I hear the beta 300x is awesome
Tough choice. Without riding the 200, I would choose the 300.
Yeah 300 for us as well but the 200rr is sooo good as well
Beta
Nice
Both… 😏
Haha
Yz250x vs 300 👀
We had a 2018 YZ250X and I loved it….I’m just a baby and wish it had electric start

@@learningtofly6804 Yeah E-Start saves my butt all the time!
