Such a hard choice, I honestly love my te150 and have gotten pretty decent at manipulating the clutch/throttle to do everything I need, is a 300 easier on some sections yes is it the 300 faster definitely, but in the tight woods the 150 does so well and is almost as quick acceleration wise that I have yet to find where the bike was the limiting factor
Try changing sprocket size down 1 tooth on the front or up 2 teeth on the rear or do front and rear, to eradicate the problem of being in too low/high of a gear.
Hi mate, lovely video as always, just a small tip, u tend to ride the 150 like a 300, keeping it in low reps, and making it turn like a 300, try to make the braking softer but longer, and go always 1 gear less than u would think, or use the cluth a bit more, love your vids mate from spain.
Really enjoy your vids and sense of humor! I've had both and kept the 150XC. At 47yrs old i just wanted to consistently have fun. In tight woods or on the track the lower reciprocating mass makes corner entry nice. Gotta down shift and fan the clutch on the exit though ro get it back on the pipe. Btw, a riding friend worked with me on counter-leaning around non-burmed corners. This technique made a huge difference in carrying speed. Hard to tell from your camera angle if you're doing it. Weight the front tire by sliding forward on the tank, drive your weight into that outside footpeg and sit on the outside corner of the seat. Really fun.
On the track, when standing, keep your chin out over the bar. Unless braking, if I can see my hands I know I'm too far back. The bike feels more balanced/predictable and you won't get arm pump. Just a few things that have helped me have more fun on an mx track. Keep having fun man!
I loved that comment “I’ve been riding for years I’ve just never improved” that is so me! lol!🤣 But I always had fun and loved every minute of riding!👍🏁
At 63 years of age I just sold my 250 XC thinking the new 150 TBI bike maybe just what I need. Got to a point that I really don't like having whiskey throttle surprises during races anymore
hey midwest, back with another awesome vid man and happy you posted again, big fan right here, love your videos! keep up the amazing work buddy, hope to see ya at the top soon, much love brotha have a blessed day!!🙏
150s are cool and all but I’ll take my 300s 50+ horsepower all day compared to the 150s 36ish horsepower. 150s are definitely fun bikes but are not for all types of riding while 300s can be used just about anywhere with way more then enough power then most of us will ever need or use but it’s nice to have for when you need it because it’ll destroy 150s all day long at hill climbing or anything that needs real man power.
I think once you learn to ride a 150 you van ride anything because you learn how to yours the clutch and corner speed changing gear in when you need to.
Hi Midwest I have noticed that you ride a lot better in the 150 I think it is because it is harder rider so you can't muck around like 300 and you are alone faster on the 150
I love the vids super sick to see other Endero riders, one thing I can say is when your going downhill just let off the breaks a bit more you wanna coast down the hills it may seem scary but it helps to keep balance and helps with the bike stabilization. And also 2 stokes are meant to be ridden in the power band. But great content
Great video as always buddy, KTM has changed that stupid start / stop switch now, I’ve just picked up my Hardenduro and the new switch is way better, give your Dealer a ring as I think they all know about the swap over
What gearing are you using on 150? It came 13/47 stock, then after the first oil change (cca 5h), we have put 13/50. Just put 12/50, still a lot of work for technical stuff (e.g. wheelies), so thinking of trying 12/52 next.
As a 39 year old with slightly tired and old bones I think I’d have to go with the 300 😂 But in a dream world I’d have both like yourself. great video I’ll have to check that place out sometime 👌
I thought you road better on the 150 you appeared to turn and track the ruts better and being lighter and more agile ,Paul Edmonson did well on the Enduro scene in the world championship on the 125s against all comers Plus you can ride possibly to the 150s full potential that's not going to happen on the 300
I have almost no irl experience of 150cc 2stroke and 300cc 2 stroke but in 150cc its more like rew engine you have to be at high rpm in 150cc it to be optimal because it has almost no power in lower rpm but 300cc has more torch than 150cc so you dont need to rew it that high Sorry for bad english 😅
So I own the Husqvarna FE350 and the TE300 Pro. I love them both for very different reason and man I love em! Now that said I really have been wanting to add a 150 because I want that howling banshee I remember as a kid except now I am fat and old. Depending on where we ride we do have some places that I think are 150 friendly as they are more flat, faster flowing. I feel like that would be a great place to let one of these little suckers rip. Save the 300/2 and the 350/4 for more rocky, rutty, rooty, gnarly nastiness where to raw power can be used to good effect when trying to get the bike to lug. Your video's are always fun mate, never stop. I personally love em. If you were in my shoes would you grab the 150 or would you not bother? I would be interested in your thoughts. I weigh about 250 lb with all my gear on and I would like the 150 for tearing up the flowy stuff just so I can hear it scream. You think at my weight and size she will haul? 6.2" 250 lbs. Thanks bro. With that questions goes this information to add. I always get my suspension setup by a shop for my weight and my style of riding so the question is really ignoring the stock suspension as it will be so underrated for my build from the get go. I like to ride GNCC. Grand National Cross Country
I’d get rid of the 350 and grab yourself a 150 personally. Have the 300 for the hard stuff and the 150 when you just wanna put a smile on your face. It’s the best of both worlds and thank you. I’m glad you enjoy the videos brother. Means the world to
@@MidWestMX Hey man, thanks for the feedback. Appreciate the input, so it seems for the fast flowy my size and weight is not a problem. Not sure I wanna get rid of the 350/4 though bro. I'm a bike whore, I love em all, fat or thin, can't dump the fat one just because lol. The 350/4 always seems more grateful and doesn't howl and whine half as much as the thinner bikes. I feel like everyone needs a fat, easy going powerhouse that rides like a dump truck hauling a load IMHO. Thanks again brother man.
Power is your friend driving into mud and corners r s momentum is your no drive you'll take a drive you don't need to be going flat out but you need to keep throttle constant then when you trust the bike you'll be able to start the hole process again just a bit quicker iam sixty years old I still ride I watch young bloke going fast but are still slow power is your friend in and out of corners on a two stroke y I u need into the corner power roll around power out set up your line and you should be killing it you'll get faster and faster
I think we have owned every size model KTM that has been built. We have settled in for the last ten years on two 200 2ts (one KTM and one gas gas) . Great bikes for hare scrambles and so much fun... Makes me a better rider too. I'm 6ft 210 and my son is same ht, 175. Light and flickable and run like a raped ape when needed
@@MidWestMX honestly, im shit at riding 😂😂and racing with your mates is insanely fun! You need to try atleast 1 enduro race. The Content would be insane
Yo! Going on vacation to Ma'niche. Best place to vacation IMHO. Heck yeah enjoying this vid. Sorry just feel the need to crack a weak ass joke as you change from 300 to 150.
Find this so interesting as I've been riding the 300 since 2007 and in 2022 I bagged a new 150 tpi amazing and rewarding you just can't be lazy #onit great crack

Love my te-150. Running 12/51 gearing for east coast US woods. Does great. Gear selection feels natural to me.
the green one
That part where you were wide open going up the hill on the 150...? THAT's how you ride a 2-stroke;) Great vid brother.
True👌🏻😂
THE KING HAS POSTED AGAIN!
Just bought my first KTM 300 xcw couple days ago, I’m proud to say that you are the reason I bought this amazing bike. Keep up the amazing content!
So nice to hear. Thank you and I hope you enjoy your new machine.
Love your videos bro, can't wait to see your next one!!!
Awesome video. Commentary always cracks me up. A lot of us can relate. Getting me through a slow cold start to the riding season in New York.
Try changing sprocket size down 1 tooth on the front or up 2 teeth on the rear or do front and rear, to eradicate the problem of being in too low/high of a gear.

That’s what it’s all bout. Smiles for miles
You should try the TSP kit for the 150. Smooths out the power and gives it more torque to prevent stalling. I have it for my 22’ and love it!

I have both and I love them both
Love it love it love it.....great video again buddy 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you
@@MidWestMX your welcome.... you legend 👍👍👍👍
Tough track, nice work! Both bikes look like a fun time, best of both worlds 🤘 Nice work on the video edit as well. Cheers!
Thanks buddy. Yeah it was a blast. I think the 150 won the day for me though
Absolutely love your vids keep up the good work
Thank you
Another great video Midwest 👌👍
Thank you
In your opinion, Which one would be better for a begginer?
Probs 150
You’d learn a lot more on a 150 but a 300 can go anywhere and makes life a lot easier
150 I believe
Alr Thank you

Hi Midwest I have noticed that you ride a lot better in the 150 I think it is because it is harder rider so you can't muck around like 300 and you are alone faster on the 150
So is the 250 the best or worst of both bikes?
Should i get a ktm 250 exc or a 300 exc?
Iam in same boat 250 more fun like the 150 in video the like got turbo fitted
300 like a 4 stroke just pulls strong
Love the sound of the 150 , nothing sounds better then a 2 stroke ( I ride a FC450 ) Love your vids man.

Reminds me of my ktm300 , lower your front forks in clamp all the way made so much difference on my bike.
Love the videos man❤
Thanks man
I'm about to do an enduro event in 2 weeks after watching this I'm keen!! 🏍
What mic do you use inside your helmet?
What's the blue button on the 300? Looks like a horn icon, dirt bikes have horns now?
Yeah they’re road legal. They have to have a horn
Great video as always buddy, KTM has changed that stupid start / stop switch now, I’ve just picked up my Hardenduro and the new switch is way better, give your Dealer a ring as I think they all know about the swap over
I am a little confused isn’t the hard Enduro a XC-W not EXC?
It’s the same thing. Called an EXC in Europe but an XCW in America
Which is best for a beginner?

Mines just stock at the moment as I’m just doing some testing but I’ll change up soon
Great trails, glad to see you got rid of that stupid start/stop switch. did you get the 1st track moto plug/play kit?
I don’t know which one I got. Just an old school Ktm start and stop button. Plugged straight in
Nice vid so far
I love my 300 but I want a 150xc next just for a playful single track bike.
Love the vids❤
Thanks

Just a quick 30 grand, no biggie 😅

Much faster on the 150 on videl😊
Not good at ruts? Stick the front wheel in, turn with it and accelerate out, they aint hard at all man.
150s will always be more enjoyable you just send everything on them
Shit me size of those houses 🏘️
get on it more on the 300 man
Being 6ft 6 id be ringing its neck maybe on the 150 🤣🤣Maybe im too tall for enduro
Ya don't have skill level to ride a big 2 stroke yet. Cr500 for life
Easy buy a Beta 200 😀
