Thanks I may make some of these mods to my Anet A8 and keep it as a second printer.
Should have put the aly lathe work segment out as video on Sunday for your new show called “Subtractive Manufacturing Sunday”
You could probably easily modify the z top and bottom brackets to use the MK4 z/x axis. There's also a remix to use the MK3 toolhead with it. I'm putting together a printer with the MK4 Z/X and a modified MK3 toolhead using an orbiter 2.0 extruder.
Also, give Klipper a look. It's pretty awesome for "modernizing" older printers without having to replace mainboards or anything.
My first was the Anet A8, like you modified and repaired like crazy. I don't have your patience and just give it away. I now use the Snapmaker Artisan, doing good prints at 40cm³, laser and CNC 4D. I would not go back!
yeh I'm stubborn, lol
25:54 you could have grabbed Prusa’s design. Wasn’t that 3d printed originally (now injection moulded). My 2 mk3s have good tension roll characteristics.
(Some) Voron spool holders embed ptfe tube into design (on top), so spool rolls on ptfe tube instead on pla/petg part of holder.
I'm looking for a 180watt mosfet for my ratrig atm, any recommendation?
Great video
thx
