Enjoyed watching this vid as I’m a fellow biker DIYer and been making my own bike luggage and bags for years now. Got so fed up buying stuff that looked nice in photos but was expensive and substandard in the flesh. So self taught myself using a bit of TH-cam, but mostly trial and error. You can buy complete veg tanned leather hides that you can cut, dye and treat as required. Takes a bit of patience, but there’s a great satisfaction in doing something yourself. I’ve noticed a few viewers saying they’d like to see some of my leather and canvas projects, so I’m hopefully going to be posting a vid in a couple of weeks of a warts and all sissy bar bag build along. Shout out to all those keeping the DIY generation alive. Great video S 👌
Sophia you need to get a job on Blue Peter with your skills, certainly better than watch Valerie Singleton and sticky backed plastic.Cracking video and informative too, cheers.
That looks like a departure from your usual choice of cigar. Interesting shape and is it a full-bodied maduro? How do you decide on which cigars to buy, do you get various types on a subscription in order to experience different smokes?
Hi Sophia, I think the word you were looking for was "Imitation" as in Vinyl and Faux, anyway well done, if you need any advice towards upholstery in general drop us a line, including clothing alterations, you could make yourself a lovely little Faux Imitation Leather Corset, although I much prefer the top that you are wearing already 😋 ,..Just remember if you use real leather "Hide" for outdoor use treat it with that magic potion you have made or it will gradually shrink after it gets wet, not good for motorcycle saddles, I use a tub of Gold Label Dubbin, great for MC jacket's and boots.
