I have three motorcycles at the moment. A cruiser, classic and a superbike. I'm a motorcycle mechanic and an automotive artist. I'm passionate about my bikes and pretty well everything else I do. I love an adventure and having fun.
Arthur, Merlin, Sophia and some slaves of Satan. Tintagel
The main content of this video is Tintagel castle in Cornwall the seat (maybe/could be) of King Arthur son of Uther of Britain (I'm getting carried away with myself here).
The video begins when I went to Ogri summer rally in Cirencester and forgot my tent and mattress and it was incredibly heavy rain...but people were kind and so it was OK. More than OK, I had a brilliant and funny time.
Then on the Sunday I went to a bike day in Newton Abbot and (I had no idea) it was run by Satan's Slaves. I tried not to terrify or intimidate anyone (!!!! hahum) and I enjoyed that too and all were most charming.
And then I went to Tintagel in Cornwall. A gloriously beautiful ride there on the XV1700 and it was a really splendid day weather wise and a really magical place to be. I don't say 'magical' because of the King Arthur and Merlin connection. But it is a phenomenal place with utterly breath taking views.

Riding 'Legend' GS750 motorcycle over stunningly beautiful English countryside to the pub.
มุมมอง 6K28 วันที่ผ่านมา
Lazy Sunday afternoon in Devon, England. I started my journey later than I meant to and so (instead of going on a long journey) I went on a medium sized jaunt! I rode over Dartmoor towards Tavistock to a very nice country pub for a whisky and a packet of crisps!! Anyway, the scenery really is stunningly beautiful.

I went to Usk in Wales on the cruiser to the Hook-Up Chopper show weekend. I just went on the Saturday until Sunday morning. Plenty of choppers! And at 500 people capacity it's not too large, a nice community.
Cruising the Devon coastline

Seaton, Broadsands and Preston beach (Paignton). That's East and South Devon. Why on earth I chose to go to the beach on the hottest day of the year! As you can imagine they were hellishly busy. And so insanely hot that I had to ride some of the way back without a jacket.
Goodwood Revival where speed meets style in a quintessentially English manner.

This was my trip to Goodwood Revival September 2023. If you're a petrol head with an eye on your clobber you'll love it. Check out Goodwood Revival, Chichester, England. A weekend of classic motorcycles and cars, all day racing and everything else motor sport related.
LOUD PIPES or Electric silence?
มุมมอง 7K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Give me loud pipes any day. The louder the better really as I think our noise is our armour. Creeping silently along amongst cars isn't a good idea (in my opinion). Anyway, I'd be interested to know what you think. Bit of a chat here, bit of documented information. I love the thunderous roar of a full blooded cruiser!
Cruising the English Riviera. Ferry to Dartmouth.
มุมมอง 11K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
From mid Devon, England I rode over the moor to South Devon, which is known as 'The English Riviera'. I took the ferry from near Brixham to Dartmouth. I love getting the ferry, it's so exciting! Stopped and had a picnic and chattered to you a little. I grew up in South Devon so it's like going home.
Motorcycles and self expression.
มุมมอง 7K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
Is your motorcycle a reflection of you? Mine are! My different bikes bring out different elements of my character and reflect my personality traits. Is riding your motorcycle like losing your inhibitions? I don't have inhibitions I don't think, but I definitely feel more free and more myself on a motorcycle. I'm riding about and questioning myself (and you) about motorcycling and self expression!

Just a bit of a trip on the cruiser (XV1700 Yamaha) from mid Devon to Dorset. Through pretty villages and splendid countryside. Chattering away to you and trying not to be chaotic.
Sex on wheels. GS 750 cafe racer
มุมมอง 5K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
The GS750 is called 'The Legend' for excellent reasons, it's such good fun to ride. A really exciting motorcycle that always puts a smile on my face and everybody else that sees it. This one has been almost totally rebuilt using original parts and rides like a dream.
Cruising Dartmoor
มุมมอง 2.9K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
A bit of a trip over the moor on my XV1700. I entered north Dartmoor from Okehampton Camp. Stopped for a smoke and to tell you a little bit about the legends of the moor! Some of the rough roads on the moor are definitely not suitable for such a meaty bike.

I use professional watercolours on hand made, hand pressed watercolour paper. If you're interested in having a portrait done then email me on sophia@lionheartart.co.uk and I'll get back to you with more information. I'm a motorcycle ...

Hey Lionheart lady. I’m a little late to the party, but I’m slowly meandering your back catalogue of videos. This trip looks like a whole lot of fun. My god, that property/castle at around 2:30 looks gorgeous…. Imagine living there. Maybe count Dracula does! 😊 The Union Jack on your Dianese jacket works well. Ride safe.
Hahaha I sew a union jack patch on absolutely everything!. I love it! I'm in the USA at this very moment and I was wearing a 'Last Resort' vest today with a huge union jack on it and there's one on my bumbag and they're on all my jackets! I'm very fond of my country! And yes, such beautiful riding around there... and their roads are excellent!
Winter almost here what about step by step water colour very difficult medium mine ended up muddy 😂
It's really difficult to do step by step stuff though because you have to be organised to record it and not just get carried away painting. I could always strap the GoPro to my head I suppose!! Thank you for the idea!!
lol a little bit of wee popped out to say hello lovely videoxx
Oh god....I didn't say anything like that did I? I'm always saying things I think are ok and then (when my excitement has worn off) realising they're dreadful! Thank you, that's very kind of you!!!!!!
You are very talented love the art work that ive seen water colour so difficult but you are awesome and mastered it .very blessed ❤
That's so very kind of you, thank you very much indeed!!
I’m like a broken record, I keep playing this video over and over again. Thank you for the music 🤪- and your sense of humour is hilarious 🤣
Hooray, that's a brilliant comment, thank you. I like it when people are happy! And my sense of humour has been thought to be alarming!! So I'm glad you like it!
Great vid , I know a few of the guys in the vid as a Newton abbot guy
Thank you so much. And you'll have to tell them they're in it!
you go from cilla to the flying lizards i love your voice x
That's very kind of you and it's very funny too!! Thank you!!
Sophia you are such a beautiful wonderfully eccentric chaotic lady i love this channel it brightens my life you should make this a feature xxx
What a dear thing to say! Thank you ever so much, I appreciate that very much indeed!!
So that's what the GS750 originally looked like. Many moons ago, I did get to ride a GS850, which from memory was a big comfy torque beast. I assume it has an electric start as well as the kick? Great job, it's something unique now and proper cool. All the best.
Thank you! They're funny bikes because they look like really heavy beasts, but it doesn't handle like a biffer!! I do love it, it just makes me feel like going on a dodgy adventure or something!!
Ps. Yes!! Electric start too now!!
I always felt there was a slight antagonism in Sir Kay`s and Arthur`s relationship with Kay being A hardcore Bay City Rollers Fan.
I thought it was because at dinner once, their mother mentioned that Arthur was better looking....Kay grew up jealous I think. Poor things!!
@@lionheartmachines2193 The damage a mothers favouritism and insensitivity can cause, Kay put itching powder in Arthurs armour once. They both got sent to bed with no supper. Arthur retaliated by cutting up Kay`s tartan scarf.
@@paulwoodward6555 I expect it escalated pretty quickly after that!!
@@lionheartmachines2193 Of course the whole of the round table had to consult with Merlin when they got to I`ve got a brand new combine Harvester on the play list as they wanted to know what kind of future technological wizardry this might be. Well Met Sophia . Have a blessed day.
Sorry, late to the comments but I did watch the video straightaway. Very much enjoyed it especially Tintagel. I've never been but maybe I will now. That second song made me think of when it's warm (remember that?) and I don't bother to get dressed, just dance around in my garden in my nightie. 😊 We've finally got neighbours in the big house next door so I expect I'll have to stop all that as they have five children. And watch my language! On second thoughts, sod it, I don't care anymore about being good. Maybe I'll get them all tattooed and body pierced and teach them to swear 😂 My favourite porridge is honey or golden syrup, with nutmeg and cinnamon. Still sweet but not as sweet as yours 😁
Oh, thank you!! And....I don't need to remember summer because I'm in the USA at the moment and I've been sweltering. Having a splendid time and getting into the odd bit of trouble....I'm going to make some videos of this trip definitely! And talk about sweet breakfasts....one hotel I stayed at served proper doughnuts for breakfast!!! Loads of them...so exciting! And as to your neighbours.... keep being you or else you'll get frustrated and do something bad!!
@@lionheartmachines2193 😁
can't eat porridge, gives me rotten heartburnwhich is annoying as I do like the stuff, love the castle and legends as well so interesting video
Thank you ever so much. I'm disgusting with my porridge! Tintagel is a special place, I'm glad you liked it!!
Tintagel love it keep sucking keep puffing the music the cigars the ambience of the place glad you revisited
Haha thank you very much indeed!! I shall definitely keep doing all that!!
A very different video from you Sophia. An interesting and open conversation on a personal level about some past events. I'm very sorry to hear you had a traumatic experience that affected you so badly. You appear to have bounced back and are in good shape. Lots of good things to come in the future for sure.
That's ever so lovely of you to say, and very encouraging, thank you so much. I don't like being sad or frightened....so I keep doing what I do and looking for fun. Sometimes though it all comes crashing into my head. I'll be alright though!! Oh I'm actually in America at the moment!!
Your level of detail on those water colours is absolutely amazing and the feeling of depth is intoxicating to the eye, well mine anyway, bravo.
That's ever so dear of you, thank you ever so much for your generosity!!
Hi Sophia, When did u start smoking? Do u smoke many cigars every day? I like the way u smoke and congratulations cos it is not commun to watch woman smoking cigars
Hello! I started smoking cigars in 2000!! I smoke at least one big Churchill a day. I love them, but I'm addicted so that's probably not good!!
I am a bit in love 😂❤
Haha, that's very sweet of you!
The engine looks very similar to the old CB250RS engine.
It does. I love the shape of the old streamlined bikes.
@@lionheartmachines2193 I have to agree. Being from the 1960's and having my first bike in 1977, a clapped out Suzuki B120, God what a disaster of a purchase that was. Although I like the bikes from that era up to the 80's because they were easier to work on than the newer bikes engineered to be overly complex for little extra gain. Other than for the bike industry to make more revenue from sold bikes in parts and maintenace in my opinion. Looking forward to your next vid.
Just recently discovered your channel and you are a real Hoot. Love the soundtracks you use, I always end up bouncing around the kitchen like a loon. Keep on keeping on you are a breath of fresh air.
That's very lovely of you, thank you so much. Keep on keeping on....that was the Red Skins wasn't it!!

Loving your music, "somehow it all went wrong" is a favourite at the moment 😁
I wrote and recorded that song absolutely years ago, and listened to it for the first time in ages when I made that video and.... even though it's my song....I really like it too. So, I thank you very much!

Clicking the "notification bell" does absolutely nothing in my experience. So I get here a day late again.😡 Cornwall and the magic of Tintagel and of course that Castle. Haven't been there in years, but I expect it hasn't changed that much. As I recall, there was a popular Post Office with a squashed roof. Probably still in need of replacement. 🤷🏼♂? Fantastically edited video, interspersed with the gradual creation of "Sophia Porridge". 🥣 Forget so called superfoods and their failed promises of eternal health, wealth and endless joy. 🤔 Avocado, Chia seeds, Flax, Blueberries and bloody Chic peas. 🤮Might as well go and chew a hedge. So move over for "Sophia Porridge" it has real energy within, with the "slightly" higher sugar content it damned well should have. Now I'll bet the British Diabetics Association are looking out for a new Flagship superfood to guide them on their way to a healthier lifestyle for their members, what do you think ? It might need a catchy motto or two for promotional reasons. How about, "Sophia Porridge, drive out that bothersome Insulin, you don't need it when you have Sugar Baby Love". 😉🥣 Could make a catchy tune too. Please ride carefully and keep uploading more of your magic and charm. 👍🏼

Hi Sophia, your videos definitely have a Marian Faithful, " Girl on a Motorcycle "vibe, especially with those cool, retro 1960s style sunglasses. BTW, as every Scotsman will tell you, the only way to eat porridge is with a Cadburys cream egg mixed into it.😁😁😁 Enjoy your holiday!
