I hope you found the video helpful! I have a part 2 coming out in a week or so on long exposure shots specifically, and then of course a review. Stay tuned! Start saving!! haha
Thank you for the video. I guess I will stay with my current setup 23 / 32-64 / 45 instead of jumping on this lens. It is a great one but for street I stick with my 45 anyway and the 23 is just phenomenal. My last trip to New York was limited to 45mm and 250mm and it was so much fun
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! Funny - I had the 45 and 110 in sept/early October and all I kept thinking was I need a wide! The 45 was incredible for sure, I did a ton of long exposure shots with it and will have a video coming out on that. Sounds like you have a super solid lens line up. I think that you're pretty well covered. I mention this point specifically in my full review of the 20-35, but hard to justify another lens when you own the 23mm and you're only gaining 3mm.
Thanks for the video, Mike! Literally showcased the stuff I wanted to see. Been considering this one for a while. Big fan of the wide angle too, but couldn't find enough examples from this lens yet, and it's tough to get to test one in my country for now, so it really helps to get the idea about it. What's the lowest shutter speed you can handhold it wide open on the GFX100S? (let's say for some static shot). Oh, and how is the balance mounted on the 100s? Thanks!
Thanks for this comment! Very glad this video was helpful to you. Hmm. The trick with the GFX is its a bit heavy, esp compared to an XH1,2, 2s, etc. Can easily shoot 1/60th or even 1/30th. Anything lower… you're risking it. For your last question, assuming you're asking how balanced the 20-35 feels on the 100s? It is such a light lens. Feels GREAT handheld and very balanced IMO!
Thorough compare vid! Really interesting to see the 20-35 v 8-16 segment - besides bokeh and FoV, do you see much of a difference in the quality of colours and shadows? Esp between the two systems in good light/golden hours/low light shots, how far can the XF system go before the pixel loses fidelity?
Thanks for the video. I own, besides a sh$t ton of X gear the 50r, 100s and the 30, 45, 50, and 100-200. I’m on the list at BH gift the 20-35. I’m excited!!

@Mike Banom Thanks again, man, appreciate it!

Upon initial comparison, no striking difference. Maybe an idea for a future video!
