*Black Widow’s death broke me into pieces, she knew that Hawkeye had a reason to live on, and she believed that she did not, but she was too blind to see what the others knew about her…* saddest death in marvel, personally…
No one knew how the Soul Stone had to be acquired. Nebula only knew that Thanos killed Gamora and left Vormir with the stone. No one knew that it required a sacrifice.
No one besides Thanos and Gamora knew that a soul had to be sacrificed to gain the Soul Stone. Thanos didn't tell anyone and Gamora wasn't alive to tell anyone. The Avengers all knew something happened to her on Vormir, but not what exactly and why
Doesn't nebula know tho. She says in infinity war that he left to voromir( not sure if that's the correct spelling) with gamora and came back without her?
Barton’s transition from Hawkeye to Ronin, as he’s called, is tragic, but makes a twisted kind of sense. He lost his whole family in a blink, as well as half of humanity, but because of the randomness of the snap, a lot of good people were wiped, while tonnes of criminal elements remained. With no commend structure to direct his skills, he aimed his wrath at people he thought didn’t deserve to survive the snap, thus the comment “they got thanos; you get me.” As Hawkeye, his deadly aim served him at a distance, both physically and metaphorically; by shooting his targets from far away, he could keep a safe distance and remove emotion from of the equation. As Ronin, he is nothing but reckless and raw emotion, and using a katana brings him up close and personal with the ones hes killing. It’s very intimate, and deliberate. He wants his victims to be afraid before they die. Plus, the katana is badass.
The bow also kept him safe to return to his family. But as Ronin, he has nothing left to lose, hence the reckless put everything on the line approach. Which makes him extremely terrifying. Now his skill is matched with a fearless anger.
*Hawkeye is such an underrated character, he is very grounded, human, realistic and cares about his family about everything, but due to his job he is incredibly broken…* a 10/10 character… no question
When the first part ended I was stressing because it felt too early, I didn’t want all the great bits in the back half of the movie to be rushed through. So glad there’s THREE parts for this one, I’m pumped! Also, I had no idea Axe was called Lynx across the pond. Learning new things every day with Rob and Trin!
You are seriously the only reactor so far who has grasped the past future future past time travel thing. Most people's brains just shut off half way through that. :D
People always seem confused about Vormir, none of them knew that you needed to sacrifice someone of the Soul Stone, only that Thanos murdered Gamora after he got the stone. No one wanted to go because Nebula called it the Dominion of Death
if you guys really want to learn more about Hawkeye during the 5 year time period you should watch the Hawkeye TV series, it’s a nice break from all the craziness.
He says "a soul for a soul" too. So what you must lose must be loved and have a soul. And, for them, there is only one try because of the lack of Pym’s particules, so it’s now or never, her or him.
To comment on what you said - while Hawkeye's thing is his bow, never forget he is a highly trained SHIELD agent and well skilled in many forms of combat. :)
poor thor has been alive for over a thousand years easy all the bad things that happen to him happen in the span of about a decade, so for him its been the worst summer ever no wonder he broke. his mom dad brother best friend and whole planet all gone in ten years or less would break anyone
Just to make things that much more painful when you superimpose the pictures of Gamora and Natasha lying at the bottom of the cliff on Vormir, they're holding hands 😭
I've commented before on how much I have loved the relationship between Hawkeye and Black Widow. I loved how despite all that happened with Thanos, Nat was still looking after Barton and went to bring him in while he was busy being "Ronin" The fight the two of them have over who is going to sacrifice themselves for the stone was just a heartbreaking moment! It still gets me every time I see this sequence.
Nobody knows what happened on Vormir actually. Except the one that go there. They don't know that they should sacrifice to get the stone. That's why Natasha and Barton go there.
Don't worry Rob, the Thor and Mom scene affected us ALL. And then the "I am still worthy" self affirmation was the cherry on the top of happy tears. We all teared up for that.
In Australia it is called Lynx too. The Pym Particles went missing which is suppose to explain when Hank hit that idiot in the face in the movie when you see Howard and Peggy.
I looked back in a sold out showing on this movie and saw an endless ocean of watery glistening eyes reflecting back Natasha’s sacrifice. Everyone felt it.
The team walking in their time suits is a homage/ripoff from the amazing animated series "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes", where they get in space suits to fight Kang in orbit 👍😎
if you want more of margaret 'peggy' carter's backstory, there was actually a short-lived tv show called 'agent' carter where it shows how old shield is, and all about jarvis, who inspired stark's jarvis, and other interesting things. it wasn't as good as the movies, but it gave some backstory to a few things that needed it.
As someone who lost their mom due to cancer in 2018, the scene with Thor and his mom breaks my heart every time. How i wish i could go back in time and just talk to my mom. I love you mom rest easy ❤
Actually you missed it the concepy on Hawkeye's time-travel test... That was in fact Clint's past. In the MCU, time travelers interacting in the past doesn't change the timeline they originally came from, their presence just creates an alternate branch where events can go differently. It's the "many worlds" theory of quantum mechanics in which you can't change existing timelines, you can only create new ones. So if the Avengers went back to 1935 and prevented Hitler from rising to power, when they returned to their original timeline nothing would have changed. WW2 and everything else would still have happened as they remembered - in fact those events were essential to them ever making the decision to time travel in the first place. But their actions would have created a new timeline.. one where everything would have unfolded differently- just not their own.
hawkeye can make anything a dangerous weapon hes more than just a bow guy, also the easiest way to explain this time thing is, if they change something in the past, it branches off into a new timeline, but if they go back and replace what they took nothing changes. Most of it will be explained in Loki
Great catch about the plan to just take the stones from the past and nothig they do changes their future!!! most people lose it at least in first viewing. Hawkeye has now a sword because is in revenge mode and he whants to see the victims up close . Thor is in high depress and alcoholic after 5 years of drinking and self loathing. And about vormir no one knew what was going on, they only knew that Thanos got there took the stone and murdered Gamora.
The funny thing about Vormir is that, in Infinity War, if Gamora had managed to stab herself to prevent Thanos from tossing her, it still would have counted.
You have never seen The Big Lebowski???? It's my favourite movie. You really have to see it. But not only once, you have to see it multiple times to get all the great details.

Just for reference smart Hulk is weaker than regular Hulk; rage is what helps fuel Hulk's power, the angrier he gets the stronger he gets which is why he is stronger than Thor. And technically he & Thor are stronger than Captain Marvel in the comics. Thanos only beat Hulk in Infinity War because he had the power stone.
It could be, but, it's like a fight between a brawler against a boxer... Thanos being a warmonger expert in combat, fight Hulk like a boxer, knew how to avoid and attack, it was easy for him, besides, like the one comment said, he didnt use the power stone, he didnt needed to ( in the movie, explicity for nerf purposes, he have to actually move into a fist form his glove in order to activate the infinity glove, again only in the movie, in the comics he use them freely)
oh i sooooooo think you two would get The Big Lebowski .... seriously give it some consideration. i know i'm just one of many who comment but if you remember me you know i'm a fairly astute, intelligent guy and i also like to think i have a good eye for some things... and i think you would like the big lebowski.
The Time Heist part is a bit confusing on the part of "It changes things, yet it doesn't" in terms of the timeline. Think of it like sneaking your parents car out to go to a party, then when you get back you put the fuel back to the right amount and roll the odometer back to what it was when you left. You know you did something with the car, your parents don't, but there is still an effect on the car by having lowered the engines range by a few miles.
Why do so many people get confused about this part nobody knows why Gamora is killed they just know that she's dead Thanos never explains why he does it

Ronin is such a cool part of Hawkeyes history. I love that story so much in the comics
Thor's scene with his Mom crushes me every time I see it.
