I just received my deck and expansion. It's so beautiful!!! I'm sorry in advance if the answer is obvious but is there a guide for these decks? I know some about Greek mythology but definitely not enough to use these in an intuitive way (yet!). Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for your question! The revised edition and the expansion deck have all the cards that are available, and some overlap between them to accommodate the individuals who purchased the first edition. If you want strictly deity cards the revised edition is all you need, and if you want to explore more of the mortal myths and Greek monsters the expansion is a good addition to have. There's no specific guidebook at this point, but essentially the entire back history of Greek Mythology, including source material like Hesiod, Homer or Ovid all the way up to modern takes on mythology like Madeline Miller and Stephen Fry, and everyone inbetween are all fantastic sources. There is an encyclopedic website that I reference often called Theio.com that has always been a great help for me when I need extra info! Thanks for asking! xx
Hi Laura! It is a bit confusing, sorry the deck has been through a JOURNEY along the way, haha! The expansion pack has the new cards that were changed from the currently out of print edition, when the Revised edition was released (about 20 of them which will overlap), as well as 30 someodd new cards that are unique to the expansion deck. So those that had that out of print edition could get the new cards, along with the heroes and monsters cards in the expansion. Hope that clears things up and not made things even more confusing. Let me know if you've got any other questions. Basically all you need is the Revised edition, and if you really want to include the mortal myths, you can add the expansion pack. xx

Mine just arrived and the same thing happened to me, the thesis card is missing :( but the deck has 100 cards. I hope that the expansion when I buy it in the future has the missing card! 🙂

As you know, Mc playing cards is a very difficult place. How do I find the expansion pack. I did not see it anywhere.
