The Artist Decoded deck, I'm not so sure about, but I do like the conversations that it is sparking, and at least they labeled it as such. I really like some of Jennifer Sodini's other work (what I know of it). Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Didn't know that about an ai response to comments. That's creepy and weird and responding to comments and reading comments is part of the fun. 🐟

I'm not sure how i feel on tarot desks being created by AI the art always look creepy but not in a good way.

I looked into The Artist Decoded as it was first released, since I generally like the creepy, “uncanny valley” aesthetic. But a deck for and about art and artists should really be made by living beings, so I didn’t get it. As an artist, I have a complicated relationship with AI. I’m not 100% against it. In fact, I have and enjoy one deck that used AI, though not as extensively as The Artist Decoded, I think. I have The Journey to Oz and Wonderland, which I got for shadow/inner child work specifically because of the way both of those films made me so MASSIVELY uncomfortable when I was little, especially Alice in Wonderland. In both films, logic is suspended for the fantastical, things become unpredictable, and that freaked out young, anxiety-ridden little me. In that deck, the uncanny quality of AI art works for me and for what I want to use it for. It brings back the unsettling feeling I got when watching those films as a little girl. I don’t see myself wanting any other AI decks, especially none about the human experience. It would work for a deck that takes place in some sort of Matrix-like dystopian universe, or something like that.

Dark confession time lol I fell in love with an AI deck but I am new to tarot and did not know it was AI until someone told me after I already had it and bonded with it lol but I love to support artists and I love picking decks based on the art of a real artist so I will make sure to do my homework next time lol
