I’m in the automotive service industry here in the states, and I have worked with 100’s of body shops over my 35 year career. I must say that this is some of the best work I’ve ever seen done with what they have available to them, awesome job.

I like the devestation of the damage and the energy in the repair , pulling all that steel back into shape, and reusing it after incredible stretching and shrinking. Then the finesse of the filling, sanding and repainting. Excellent. Bravo Greetings from Australia

I have to keep in mind that this is a hard working truck, where function is the major requirement. They are not repairing to new as built condition. This is a repair, not a restoration. Those guys took a badly damaged corner section, took it apart, straightened out some quite badly mangled sheet metal using hammers, chains, hand wenches, gas torches and surprisingly little body filler, primer and paint. Put it back together and returned it to pre crash condition over all. The only parts needing replacement were lights, light covers and reflectors.
An impressive level of work for a basic shop with minimal tooling and workers who are quite skilled with working with sheet metal structures and panels.
This truck will go back into service hauling people and stuff around and appear like it had never been crashed considering the high level of damage it had.
    Good job guys!

My dad, now gone, told me a tail of one of the squaddies who'd taken the colonels car out for a spin and crashed it. My dad told him of a local family who were skilled at rebuilding damaged things. Five days later, the car was returned, just in time for the colonels return and looked immaculate. Dad told me there were people in India as it was in WW2 who had amazing skills and could make a silk purse out of a sows ear.. Here in the UK, we'd just write that off. Fabulous video guys

    Excellent repair, very impressive.
There was this frenchman in Dubai who had a classic Citroen car, I think it was a DS9 of the 50's or 60's era, back in France that needed a full restoration. In France it would have been costly to get it done, especially the bodywork, so he got it shipped to Dubai and had one of the workshops do the restoration and they did a good job. Then he took it back to France, but I'm not sure if he drove it back or it was again shipped.

What might not be obvious is these guys skills with a gas torch.. they are unreal.. plus their skill at applying a skim of filler - again, massive skills that people who don't do this sort of work might overlook. They make gas-welding these thin panels look a doddle - try it, report back. They also make applying filler look easy - again, try it, report back. These guys quietly have off-the-scale skill levels. I know as I do the same work but naah - don't have the same level of skill as these in all honesty and I have a lot of more alledgedly "better" equipment.
That guy casually heat-shrinking the dents with the gas torch while his pal hammers on them - it's to get rid of oil-canning where the panel has stretched - give that a go, see how you fare - it's bloomin massive skillz. Then they grab the worlds crappiest paint-gun, outdoors, no booth - and do a very very respectable paint job that over here would require 100k of equipment.... watch their gun spray - it's spitting, missing, the air supply is all over the place - and they still do a decent job.. again - massive skillz.
No painter here could cope with their 500 quid devilbiss not running the perfect pressure at the gun-regulator - the job would turn out crap - these boys don't even have a pressure regulator on their absolutely garbage 20 quid paint-gun & they still get a great finish - and that - that's Skill. We have all the gear & no idea - these have close to no gear & all the idea.

This team of workers are an amazing talented bunch. To think they accomplish what they do almost entirely with sweat and muscle and outdoors in the Indian heat, is just fantastic.
My only complaint is I would have loved to see the bus owners reaction and surprise when he came to pick up the bus.

Really good filler and Paint from that guy. He knows how to put on just enough so not to create extra work for himself.
