Yeah good call. I always do if the filter is oriented vertical. If it’s horizontal like this one, I usually don’t because all the oil pours out of the filter when you tip it to screw it in. It’s probably worth adding some oil even in the horizontal orientation. Thanks for the tip.

Every time I change the oil I remove that black Kubota logo plate on the back. Makes it super easy to access that area. Great video.

To check the oil level do I need to insert it in or just push it down ?
Un screw the dipstick...
wipe it off...
put dipstick back in "without turning it"
pull out dipstick and check the level.

What a terrible place for a drain plug, and its plastic and won't last long. What's with the engenearing on these motors, terrible.
