      Please do an update on Audi R8. It looks to me that they are rolling over and could drop another 20k but with them discontinued that makes it harder to see them drop much.

    I have been looking at the 458 Italia. I still think this is one of the best designed modern Ferraris and no surprise, it's one of the last one designed by Pininfarina. Arguably the best model year is 2010 after which Ferrari owners complained that the cars were too loud and scraped too much which caused Ferrari to engineer out the noise and raised the ride height--TRAGIC. If you find a good specimen, scoop it up. Now I will be looking for sure.

    Would be interested in a McLaren update. They have a history of depreciation but they are good value when compared to similar level Ferraris and Lamborghinis so interested to see how the prices are holding up.

    You haven't noticed a 20-30% price increase in F430's over the past year? There used to be US listings in the $110K range. Now it's hard to find anyone asking under $140K. Surprised you haven't seen that?

    • @fourwheeltrader
      @fourwheeltrader  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Prices were relatively stable during last year. The increase happened before that as you can see in the graph.

    I’ve been in the market for a 458 (13’ and onward) for 3/4 years, and I refuse categorically to bend to the post pandemic insane speculation that is going on; just last week, a dealer I follow here in the Bay Area, posted a 458 base from 2012, for $293.000.
    Yeah, you read that right, over 300k to get yourself a BASE 458.
    Hell no.

    Normality resumes where prices bottom out for older models offering great investment affordability before rising upwards as people catch on and the market booms. Buy at the bottom, sell at the top. It’s simple common sense.

    same video for the V12 would be good. Here is my prediction: 612 up 10% YoY. 599 up 15% YoY. FF stable, not up because penalized by relaiability. GTC4 lusso V8 stable, and V12's down 5%. f12 reaching bottom trend, maybe still -5% to go, but stabilizing. 812 superfast going down -20% YoY and GTS -10%.
    Very accurate video by the way. I don't always agree with your analysis but this one is spot on.

  • @stevejones1318
    @stevejones1318 ปีที่แล้ว

    The thing about cheaper Ferraris like the 360 and 355 is that they cost 4 or 5 times as much as an equally good car of the same age or younger. With a 355/360, you're paying $80-100k more for the brand name. More for the 458/488/F8. They've become status symbols.
    Those who know better, and don't have a pile of spare cash, stick to value for money cars like Lotus, Porsche and even the Mazda Mx5 which cost significantly less to buy and to maintain.

    What is considered a 'high mileage' mid-engine Ferrari?

    • @jonathanbaltora6430
      @jonathanbaltora6430 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @thepurplesband
      @thepurplesband ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1500 miles per year is considered average. 3000 miles per year is getting on the high side

    • @pectenmaximus231
      @pectenmaximus231 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seriously, want to know this. I don’t feel crazy when I consider an F430, but that must be high-mileage because when I see them sub-10k miles, they can have eye-watering prices that you’d just buy a much newer model for…

    • @fourwheeltrader

      @@fourwheeltrader Well there are some in Italy (i'm from italy) but i was referring to maybe your thoughts on the future for this model, like f.e. in 3 years the car is likely to lose X amount or stay levelled compared to when it was new. Just your free thoughts, i recon we are humans and predicting the future is hard, it's really down to your opinion and i know it isn't in any way 100% sure thing. I'm just curious about it!!

    The F355 market should be split in manual / F1 as the manual is in demand whereas the F1 isn't (more relevant than mileage), otherwise interesting video

    I disagree!..are you basing this on ‘asking’ prices or actual’sale’ prices?
    I’m in Australia and asking prices are A$160k, down from an average of A$180k plus last year..Realistic price should be A$140-150k
    There are owners asking A$220k plus, which is dreaming!.These cars have been for sale for over a year!.
    UK prices are also showing a decrease for 360’s , but very overpriced for 348’s.

    Sure, your Ferrari increased lets say 100k in the last year.... nobody tells you the depreciation of driving it... its huge
    and the ridiculous high maintenance, insurrance and storage cost....dont talk about cars as they are an investment....
    its like buying a new Fiat 500 and compare the price after 5 years... yes it went up... try to sell it

    Very interesting video. Thank you. i'm wondering if you're got a missed opportunity here to create a subscription-based app/website for your analysis of pricing trends and the current listing of cars on the market. Colors, options, base models with minimal or no options, accident reported cars, etc - all impact a cars "value" and it's difficult for someone to determine if a price is fair and justified. Your videos can continue to provide information at a macro level (and build your user-base) and the app/website can provide specific details for those who are buying and selling. I'm thinking 40k views per video could "perhaps" turn into $40k per month. Just something to think about. Cheers!
