You built an absolute beast of a deck here!!! Fun to see you agonize over choosing what are now known to be format bombs. You made the right choices. Good instincts!
@richarddueck1770 Thank you. Drafting during the Early Access Streamer Event is like no other draft experience in the world. There you are "sitting down" at a table exclusively consisting of the best drafters in the world. No one "knows" what is best in the format yet. It's your instincts vs the instincts of all the top names in magic. There is nothing easy about it. It is always such an intense experience. All the while I'm trying to be personable during a stream and not show how hard it is to be in that spot. Plus try and pass on information to my audience about what I think about different cards. It's very difficult. Imagine sitting down with a table of all pro tour players, professional mtg content creators, and wotc employees that designed the set for your first time ever drafting a new set while cameras are on you and people watch your draft. It's a really unique way to go about diving into a new set. It’s humbling. I was happy to be able to give a good draft showing. Looking back at it there are a few picks I'd do differently. For the most part I think I'd end up with a very similar final deck even today. I like to think my card evaluation skills are a little bit above average. It's why my prerelease guides do fairly well. It's why I usually do above average in the Early Access events. I'm a decent card evaluation reader with cards I've never played with. I can read cards within a set make some good first glance judgements on where specific cards might land power level wise within that set. It's not a skill everyone has, but it's one of my better ones. I don't get it right all the time, but I'm usually above average with how much I do get right before a set gets played/ figured out.
@peterdafox Taking a break from the event to upload one sealed video in addition to this video, but then have to get back in and record more footage for the week! Wish me luck. The stream went well.
@eloiez Several reasons why I have actively chosen not to do music. First and foremost being no one wants to hear my crazy mix of music. I'm not joking. It's all over the place and no one would like it. Secondly, I figure if I don't put any music on then you, the viewer, can play any kind of music you like while also watching my videos. I do this ALL the time when I watch other streamers, and I prefer when my own music doesn't compete with theirs... There's two ways to go about it. Be the dj for everyone or make everyone dj for themselves. I choose to let everyone else decide what music they want. But if you want to know what I listen to while playing during regular drafts here's a small sample of what's on my list... (This is why I don't dj for my channel. Everyone would have songs they hate on this list. I'm too all over the place with what I enjoy.): Danza Kuduro - Don Omar, Lucenzo Hey Brother - Avicii I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas Accidentally In Love - Counting Crows Everywhere - Fleetwood Mac Club Can't Handle Me - Flo Rida The Blood Of Cu Chulainn - Mychael Danna Despacito - Luis Fonsi Cheerleader - OMI Break Your Heart - Taio Cruz Dynamite - Taio Cruz Hero - Family of the Year Island In The Sun - Weezer Saturday Night - Whigfield Lay All Your Love On Me - ABBA Raise Your Glass - Pink Fast Car - Tracy Chapman Stereo Love - Edward Maya, Vika Jigulina Starships - Nicki Minaj Shut Up and Dance - Walk the moon
@oDMACo I think Hugs is 100% worth any difficulties with casting the card. It’s incredible. Example seen in game 1. Yes it was stuck in my hand for a few turns, but once it unlocked I got three extra spells off of it as well as a 5/5 trampler. It’s also something that gets better with the more mana you can sink into it so I don’t mind the double double pips at all.
@mtgmonster8755 brill thanks for the tip. It did sit in your hand for a lot of turns but had a bit impact when you played it. Do we need to think of it as an 8 mana spell rather than 4x
@oDMACo Not necessarily. There were games where I cast it out early without any extra value to get pressure on board. But, this set is severely lacking large mana sink top end things to do, so it’s really good for filling that role. Especially if you’re playing the red green expend 4 deck that Hugs is supposed to be in.

Veteran Guardmouse preformed way better than I was expecting, seems like a really good finisher for Aggro decks in the format
@collardcow4183
4 mana 4/4 first strike is usually a good card in limited. It did great in this deck.
Woot! Let's see this sealed work. I can't wait
@mizzlchieizzl
This one is draft, but it was a fun one from the stream today.
That game 2 was awesome!
@ElleB-dq3dv
Thanks
So excited!

Is hugs not just unplayable in limited? Double double pips with a set lacking fixing?
