Hi, I was going to leave my comment in your video from 3 yrs ago sewing Tutorial , I did not think you would see it. I started sewing again. I have made many different throw pillows, duvet covers with button closing. I seen one of your videos were you sewed ties on the pillow cases and just loved it. Looked it up and it’s very vintage. I like your sewing on the children’s clothes too. Blessings
Sheppards pie in New England, more so where I grew up in Maine, is literally cooked ground beef, corn and mashed potatoes, along with a veggie on the side. My great aunt who came off the boat fron Ireland, made hers with lamb, more veggies and in a gravy, topped with potatoes.
I love watching these videos. I grew up like this and love feeding my kids hardy meals. Recently one of my kiddos was diagnosed with T1D so making all these meals in a low-carb way has been my challenge lately! But totally doable. God bless you! Oh and.... get yourself a potato masher! Lol!
I used your Thrive link a few weeks ago and I'm obsessed! My husband is low Fodmap and they actually have a selection that is low Fodmap friendly. I love everything they have! Thank you!
I must say your esthetics and overall lifestyle you let us see is making me want to improve my own life, my home and my way of life. I enjoy your videos and get a ton of inspiration.
Another wonderful video! Love that “new?” Dutch oven! Doesn’t it just make your food so delish? Your cooking videos make my mouth water! I love how creative and bold you are in the kitchen. May I ask the variety of carrot you were slicing? I love growing rainbow carrots but have never seen the ones with yellow on the inside! I too would love to see an episode featuring your espresso machine. It’s been a looonnnggg time since my barista days. P.S. I’m loving the podcasts! Did you know that you and your guests helped me paint two rooms and a hallway? 👏🏻🌟💕
I roast my garlic in a pan. I add peeled garlic (from Costco) to a pan and cover with olive oil. Cook it very low for a few hours until the garlic is a little golden and then drain it (reserve garlic infused oil for cooking) then mash the garlic and keep it in the fridge to use in all kind of recipes. Delicious!
Everything looks delicious! I love that you cook wholesome healthy food for your family with lots of protein. I think I need to make that chicken with mushroom cream sauce. Yum!
Hi Lisa, greetings from Western Australia. When cooking mashed potatoes, I peel about 3 cloves of garlic to about 6 medium potatoes and boil the garlic in with the potatoes and salt. (I don't chop the garlic, just take the skins off). Cook as normal, drain n leave a little of the cooking water in the pot (this has flavour) add butter and milk. Works every time. Ps atm my hands are sore with arthritis so I'm not even peeling the potatoes just chopping and boiling
You have definitely got me hooked on cast iron cooking! So much better! And I find the more I use them, the easier things clean off of them. I love your videos ! And your podcast!
Great meal ideas! Thank you so much for sharing! I also see you have a Breville espresso maker-I just bought one myself. I hope you are enjoying the coffee as much as I am!
Completely agree! It’s such an investment and I know you’ve said in the past you are frugal (as am I). I imagine it’s amazing if you felt it was worth the purchase. I would definitely be interested in your thoughts or even a how to on this machine!
Do you ever get tired of cooking? I came from a big family and sometimes I got tired of it. Not so much now that I live alone, no one to cook for. You make it look so easy.
I can relate on buying things when I’m close to being out then just having too much. Especially flour. I don’t like to keep a ton on hand, maybe 10lbs? But then when I’m down too much I buy more and then it doesn’t fit in the container. Spices too
Your dinners always look so delicious! I’m curious do the colored carrots have a different flavor at all? I’m so glad you didn’t a bunch of chicken recipes! We eat a lot of chicken at my house and need some new recipes so thank you!! Your videos are ALWAYS the best Lisa!!!!! Have a great weekend! ❤️
Would be really fun if you showed some clips of your family actually eating the meal 😊 I have been using my cast iron pan recently and really liking it, I ordered 2 more that are coming today! 🤗
I need a garlic press👏🏻 Everything looked so good, Lisa🤍My mom didn’t let me use a peeler for potatoes until I learned to peel with a knife first 😂 when I seen you peeling the potatoes, it reminded me of that:) 🤍
I can’t remember what video it was in, but I made that Sauerkraut Soup tonight and it was delicious! I thought you were sauerkraut crazy when I saw that recipe but I was like.....what the heck! I have the ingredients! Turn out very hearty and flavorful. Husband approved :)
Good Morning! 🌄 I have soo many videos to catch up on, I didn't realize( like 2 mo ago ones..).😍 binge watch Lisa day.. lol you are such a blessing and inspiration!! Ur talents just amaze me!😘😘
Thank you for your delicious food videos. Do you have a new pot. (the black one) Where can I get such a cooking pot. What is the material. I live in Germany. God bless you
Some very good ideas. I really need to make chicken tacos. My son is burned out on the regular taco made with ground beef. I have some chicken in the freezer I can use. I think I will put that on the menu for next week. I think I will be making roast for Sunday dinner. I wish I had more time to make more fresh things. I don't buy many processed foods, but I want to make homemade bread and your homemade tortillas I'm sure I would like so much better than the store bought ones. They really look easy too!
Oh that is so cute. If I make it from anything it is still 'Shepherd's Pie' (Australia). But I realise that is so silly 😂. It will definitely be ranchers pie when I use beef from now on! I could do a kangaroo pie and call it bouncy pie, although that may be too far!
🙏❤ you definitely inspiring me. I love that way of life. I've already got kefir n got sourdough ready to go. I started to cook with it and it's amazing! Thank you for making it so easy ❤💖❤god bless you. I tried to find out what is einkorn in my country, to translate it.. but... I don't know.. it's not a word in my language... Anyway I love what you doing, keep on and I wish you all only good!!💗
Here in Australia it’s shepherds pie when using lamb mince and cottage pie when it’s beef. If you use venison I’m not sure what it’s called... we can’t call it Hunter pie as that’s taken... maybe forest pie? If I were to use kangaroo, I’d have to call it skippy pie 🤣 I don’t typically cook ground roo though. It has a metallic taste when over cooked so it’s best as a steak/fillet and cooked lightly... anyway, I digress lol. Great video as always 👏🏻
Delicious looking meals! When/where did you buy your cast iron dutch oven? I would love one of those. I love my cast iron pans and I also have a cast iron loaf pan.
They turn out better, when cooked on the gas fire, where the pot was on. You put it on there and when they puff up, you flip it. They dough must be a bit thick though.
Hello Lisa. Everything looks so yummy! I was wondering how difficult it is to take care of cast iron pots/pans? I have always wanted to purchase a pan. I really enjoy your videos 😊🇨🇦
@AnastasiaSpyridopoulos Lisa has videos on taking care of cast iron pans. You can find them by searching for the topic here on her TH-cam channel or on her blog!
I'm trying to do the same with the things in my pantry/deep freeze, I've noticed that I was doing the same thing. Thanks again for another great meal video, they're becoming a favorite of mine. My boys like to watch with me and will say, "Mom, you should make that" haha. Love it all! Would love to know some of your favorite food and meal resources- blogs, Insta accounts, cookbooks? What are some of your favorite resources?
LOVE watching your cooking videos. SO inspirational. But how do you manage to cook so much with kids around!?? Tips? This is the struggle I have! (4, 2, and another on the way!) Also, thanks to you I finally bought a Berkey! ;)
Oh the Shepard’s pie!!
Listen, I will totally buy your cookbook when you release one. EVERYTHING you make always looks SO delicious!!
I love roasted garlic in everything!! Yum!

I watched this in the morning and you made me so hungry. I couldn't wait to fix dinner and try out your recipes. Thanks! Cast iron is always the best.

Oh I'm so happy you tried my roasted garlic trick!!!! Happy you like it 🤗 keep up the great content!
Homemade biscuits are the best! In Vermont we use ground beef and call it shepherds pie! Have a great weekend!
I used your Thrive link a few weeks ago and I'm obsessed! My husband is low Fodmap and they actually have a selection that is low Fodmap friendly. I love everything they have! Thank you!
I live in a warm climate now but before that l lived in a cold climate, your videos make me miss the winters, you make it look so cosy!❤️
Thank you for the inspiration; made my first sour dough loaf today. I was giving up on my starter and then it just took off.
Definitely going to do the chicken noodle mushroom recipe looks delicious!
Everything looked scrumptious! I love how easy you make it look but I know each meal is a lot of work, which I know your family greatly appreciates!
I love that bowl you mixed your biscuit dough in.
In Quebec if someone says shepherds pie they are usually refering to pâte Chinois which is with ground beef, creamed corn, and mashed potatoes on top.
ooh that sounds good
I must say your esthetics and overall lifestyle you let us see is making me want to improve my own life, my home and my way of life. I enjoy your videos and get a ton of inspiration.

Your tortillas look like mine, sometimes they look like TX, PA, UT, whatever they still tase good.
Haha, I'm in Utah. That would be a funny looking tortilla! 😄
So true!! 😂😂 Mine are never round either. Great way to explain it!

Hi Lisa. I watch your videos from Durban which is on the East coast of South Africa. I enjoy them entirely.
You are an awesome cook, baker. You make it look so easy, but I know this is one of your gifts!!!

In the UK if you see shepherd's pie it will always be lamb, cottage pie will always be beef. I've never known it be a catch all term for any meat

I'm making those quesadillas tonight!! Thanks for sharing the video! These ones are my favorite. I always leave inspired 🥰🥰
Some great dinner ideas. I'm always fearful things like Thrive will cost more. But I may try it.
