    Crank should go to Crankworks in Arizona, and Cylinder to Powerseal USA for Cylinder Repair and Replate.

    Great video specially since I have a 1993 kx250 and it’s been ported and resleeved, but I’m going to have to check out the millennium technology’s because getting my transmission anodized would be bad ass, you’re killing it brother👍🥇💯

      Right on! How did the porting change the power? I' curious how it's going to work for me. And definitely check out Millennium, they do great work!

    Hey Greg,
    Thanks a lot! Probably the best video I’ve found on how to tear these engines down.
    I’m having trouble finding the replacement bearings for my ‘99 Kawasaki KX250. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks Gary! Hop in to have the engine rebuild video edited up in the next week or two as well 🙌🏼.
      In terms of the bearings, you can source all of them oem through Rocky Mountain atv/mc. Pro X also makes a crank bearing and seal kit. They are KOYO bearings from Japan. I did that ProX kit then sourced the remainder of the bearings, oem from RM's oem part section🙌🏼.

      Let me know how it works out for you!

    Have you ever had to replace cases and put the idler pins in? Are they pressed in not sure how they go in. They don’t come with the new kx450 cases

    Thank you very much for sharing this video, I have a question. when you open the crankcase, in the output shaft there are two o rings, are they put back in the same place? i saw your video rebuilding the 2007 kx but i don't see them reattached. Really thanks for sharing, it is helping me a lot to rebuild my kx250. greetings from Mexico!!

    • @GregHitchko
      @GregHitchko  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question Angel, it can be difficult to figure out! When you install this part, oil up the two o-rings and slide them back on to the counter shaft first. Then grease up the outside of the collar and install the collar with the shoulder side facing inward towards the engine. Push the collar in making sure that the shoulder of the collar engages with the two o-rings. And that should do it! Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks man!

    careful not to use too much heat on the cases as to distort them.

    Haha. You say you’re a cheapskate but you’re spending how much on the kx build? Just kidding, im same way, save a buck to spend elsewhere!!

    • @GregHitchko
      @GregHitchko  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Haha you get it! And seeing my other builds, you know this one is way out of my comfort zone with budget, wayyy out. This will be the last one I spend this much money on crazy parts that is for sure.

      I have a 2000 Kawasaki KX250 that I bought brand new for some reason they love to blow the lower crank bearing I blew mine out at about 6 hours of riding I mixed my gas at 32 to 1:00 I think it's the way the connecting rod was designed the oil lubrication slot on the bottom of the crank isn't chamfered
