    OMG! The way you did the heat n bond is priceless! I would have cut out each piece separately. What a time saver!

      Thank you! 😊 I used to have a supervisor that said, "If you want something done quickly, find a lazy person to do it because they'll figure out a way to get it done faster and more efficient than a stickler for perfection." lol While that logic is very flawed, at times, I think he was right.

    To help those using the SVG files instead of scanning, we at UrbanElementz.com have found that CanvasWorkspace is resizing the SVG to fit the mat when it comes into the application. The size for Warmest Wishes is 34.8065" x 15.15". If you select the entire pattern and resize it to this size, you'll be working at full scale. We also have created the CWPRJ (native CanvasWorkspace) file and you can request it, & it will be added to the downloadable file on the website. It should be available to those who have purchase the pattern at the beginning of the week.

    You can use parchment paper over the heat and bond to protect your iron and board..

    Thank You Becky... I should have rewatched before trying from memory...My heat n bond stuck on first try. I turned it over and it was great the second time. Thanks! I also transferred one scanned image to simply applique and created the applique file, which I will try later...What do you use to add embroidery details to the file so you have more than just a silhouette?

      When you scan, save using the "Inside/Outside" button vs. Outside only. That will capture eyeballs and smiles. Then in SA, instead of Select All before hitting the Convert to Applique button, leave those parts as is so they are still just stitches and do not covert to applique.

    Becky, do you know if the Scan and Cut will send files directly to a Babylock Meridian or will that only work with a Brother embroidery machine?

    • @PowerToolsWithThread
      @PowerToolsWithThread  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The SNC doesn't actually send any files directly to any embroidery machine. It does, however, wirelessly upload files to the Brother Canvas. Then you can download those files to your laptop for use in embroidery software like Simply Applique. The Simply Applique will save to the PES format that you need for your Meridian. :) A bit more difficult depending on the image, the SNC will save line drawings to a PES format you can save to a USB and take to your embroidery machine for applique. The brand of the embroidery machine isn't really important, but it's the file type that is. If your machine reads PES files, which yours does, then you're all set!

    Hi Betty, I'm a new owner of a SDX225F. I saw in this video that you have a 12"x24" mat for fabric. Where did you get it? I haven't seen a high tack mat this size. Or did you use a 12"x24" scanning mat and put 2 of the 12"x12" high tack fabric support sheets on the mat? Thank you!

    • @PowerToolsWithThread
      @PowerToolsWithThread  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it's the 24" purple standard tack mat with 2 fabric support sheets on it. Use it all the time!

    Do you think the DX scan n cut is easier to manage than the cm900? I love the detailed videos, very helpful. Thanks

    • @PowerToolsWithThread
      @PowerToolsWithThread  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't used the CM900 but I also have the CM650. I prefer the DX because I don't have to fiddle with doing a test. The auto-sensor blade is SO handy!

    Becky what is the difference between simply applique and embrillance software? Do I need both of the or not. I need your help . Your help on my embroidery machine did work but I'm still not happy with it. What embroidery machine do you think is a good machine.

    So if I have the fabric pieces I scan them fabric side up and do not need to mirror image them ? Sorry I am directionally challenged Thanks so much for this fun project It will challenged me but I will give it a go lol

    • @PowerToolsWithThread
      @PowerToolsWithThread  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct. If you scan them right side up, they do not need to be mirrored.

    Hi Becky where did you buy the pattern of the wolf alelujah on your door?

      That is "Howl-lelujah" from the same company. He was our sew along from last year! www.urbanelementz.com/howl-lelujah-quilt-applique-pattern.html?acc=74

    Becky I am working with the Kit from UrbanElementz I can not get the scan to pick up the cuff or pompom on the hat I did outside only. On the letters I have done inside outside same thing it does not give a good scan there are holes where the dots are Help please I am wearing my scan mat out lol

    • @PowerToolsWithThread
      @PowerToolsWithThread  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll need to scan the paper pattern. Scanning the pieces doesn't work as well.
