    Peter trimmed that first tree so fast! He pretty much just sneezed while holding scissors and then it was done. What a pro!

    I admire Peter Chan and all he endeavors with his Bonsai creations over the decades. I have watched most all his videos and have watched many 2-3 times to acquire as much knowledge he shares with us. peter's words of wisdom are enlightening for me and other people around the globe. However, I wish the "Audio" component of the videos would be improved so Peter's valuable words are not misses and over-shadowed from the surrounding conditions. The nursery and the videos are his legacy to the world, each word is too important to be missed.

    I would love to see the whole process of digging it up from the ground, and putting it in a pot, and do you fertilize after? Thank you for this awesome journey of Bonsai tree lessons 🇨🇦👍

    Thank you for the video. Herons has become a second home although I have never been there. I am looking forward to every new video, but I really think it is time to change the camera. 720p isn´t great but it´s okay. The real problem is handling motion. It gets so cloudy and there are often artifacts so I sometimes can´t even tell what foliage was shown briefly.

    Peter you obviously like your mini chain saw, the chainsaw massacre springs to mind. But I know you are doing the right thing with the trees, you never seem to stop producing great trees for sale over time and inviting us in to watch what your achieving over time, Thank you.

    I have a European (Copper) Beech that I bought as a rescue tree. It's been building up its strength the last couple years but is coming along nicely. I wasn't sure what to do with the tree once it's finally ready to be worked again. There isn't a lot of information out there about the European beech as a bonsai. So, this video is extremely timely for me, thank you!

    I hope you show us the further progress of all of this beech trees too. Always amazing and never boring even if its often similar, keep repeting and you and your staff here are doing such a great job and your videos are helping me to relax. I am an authistic young man from Austria and doing bonsai gives me self confidence and calm. I would love to come to herons once, maybe helping as a volunteer for some time

    I find it curious to pick a front, before creating your overall shape, and cutting out your obviously crossing branches.
    I like to pick the front third. 😋

    How long do you recommend the amount of time between digging up a large tree from the ground and putting them in a bonsai pot? 2 years? Take it from the ground then putting it in a nursery pot, then a bonsai pot?

    • @peterchan3100
      @peterchan3100 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The longer you keep it in the ground the thicker the trunk - it's up to you to judge but beware of thick roots growing if left in the ground too long. You can put in deep bonsai training pot at any time.

    Can't imagine if i ever lived in 4 seasons country... You have to ground a tree in years just to achieve arm sized trunk... I lived in tropical country where trees are growing throughout the year.. I can get a thigh sized trunk within only 2 years by grounding them

    Hi Peter,
    Thanks for the awesome video(s), they're all so informative and I've been enjoying them for years. My question is this, how do you keep those trees from dying in the winter when potted up in the field? It seems like a very large area with many many trees in pots. At my house they would all be dead!
