Acer Katsura Prune and Propagate | Cuttings | Bonsai
In this video I take my big Acer Katsura bonsai and give it a much needed prune. I then take the cuttings and put them in some home mixed potting soil, made from perlite, vermiculite, molar clay and composted bark.
The cuttings were then placed in my greenhouse under a misting head of the automatic watering system.
Rain also interrupted the video, but that's okay. All tasks were completed.

Is it safe to prune now

I wanted to do it weeks ago but was too busy with other work or the weather was bad. It's only a prune anyway, not major work so I think it safe.

It's not katsura. That's a maple. Probably Japanese maple. Nice video about propagation though. Katsura has round leaves.
