Hello everyone! It was really fun making a modding tutorial again and I hope you enjoy this one.
Today, I walk through how to make an animated MenuSingle.szs background which can be seen in Single Player Offline and Online gameplay.

something to point out: if your gif is pretty large (in my case 66 frames), lower the image resolution to 250x172 when modifying the tpl files, otherwise the game will crash

im using a gif of 71 frames, i edit every frame to 250x172 and the game still crashes :( any solution?
@@imakedreamsshop3781 since the wii is not optimized for even this, try making the gif smaller
@@micah3986 from me testing, the absolute limit is 1000*750 so try that out any 4:3 resolution (cuz that's the aspect ratio the bg is) between 500*375 and 1000*750
A little note: if you're playing on a 16:9 display, make the gif/image 16:9 and narrow it to 500×375 in Brawlcrate because the game will stretch it to fit the display. This will make the image/gif not appear stretched in game.
yess! I used to make these animated menusingles as well but I would have to relearn how to do it every time because I didn't do them so frequently. But now I can just watch this video.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! Silver’s MenuSingle has a file called ct-icons which I had to get rid of because I’m on Dolphin, but other than that it worked perfectly👍🏼

Hi, i am looking for some help here, i recently swiped the dust off of my wii and installed CTGP. I'm having the time of my life but i'm really annoyed by the CTGP menusingle. I have looked for HOURS now and i have not found a single way to disable it. Is there a way for me to play MKWII through CTGP while enjoying the classic white-and-blue menu? And do I just throw it into the "My Stuff" folder?
i think theres no way to unfortunately, unless you use the my stuff folder to put everything yourself

Anybody know how to do this on a regular mkw iso instead of ctgp? I tried following this method here thinking it would work for me on Dolphin but the background is just black, no crashing though

no MenuMulti.szs starts with the controller order screen not the mode selection screen

somehow ive managed to delete my menumulti and menusingle. its not in the recycling bin so where else ca i get it again.

idk if you still respond to comments but since the mkboards are down as I'm writing this I had to get the menu single file from somewhere else, when I went to the wexos toolbox, in pai 1. there were 3500 frames and only 1 tpl. I probably used the wrong file but the name of it was MenuSingle.szs. and also it had 2 frame keys, is this normal?
Also adding on to my question, Is there a limit to how many frames you can have?

You have to edit the title.szs and the title_(insert letter based on language and region).szs if im not wrong.
For the english language at an Pal rom for example it’s Title.szs + Title_E.szs
And for the english language at an US Rom its Title.szs + Title_U.szs. I hope I was able to help you.

Vivid Sooner it should just be 1 tpl for a still image. Be sure to make sure it’s that way in the brlan tho

Vivid Sooner That’s a different file. It’s in Title.szs and Title_U.szs (Letters change by region)
