    This scape is fire! Nice work. Loving the arches. Taking notes for the new build.

      The arches make it easy to scape. Definitely worth a try👍👍

    Really like your aquascape. Lots of places for the fish to hide and the flow should be great 👍. Looking forward to watching the corals grow out over time 😀

      Thanks 😊. I think it's important for the fish to each have a place to sleep 👍

    I’m glad to see someone using this rock. There isn’t much info out there about it. I’m getting ready to set up a new tank using the same rock , having used live rock in the past with lots of issues even after cleaning for a month. You have set my mind at ease, your tank looks great and I hope mine will just as good or something close 👍😊

      Thanks 😊. This rock makes scaping a tank super easy. You'll have fun using it 👍

    Great choice of rock. Carib seas shape & arch rock make it so you have areas where you can place coral pretty much where ever you want to. I like that you have created the scape so it’s elevated for better flow & areas where the fish can swim through. Really liking that top down view. 😁

    I also bought Caribsea life rock shapes, I love the finished scape I’ve created but found it much harder to scape than something like real reef rock. I really like the way you can clear the scape off the sandbed to get good water flow through it. I’ve built some large arches for sps using acrylic rod and drilled small pieces of life rock and skewered them. I’m looking forward to seeing it colour up in due course

    • @BillyPipes

    So the most of the rock has real coraline growing on it now? Did it look like the new piece you put in when new? I know one person with 20 to 25 lbs and arch and a cave and 3 corals attached for 25 bucks and a person with 45 lbs and a bunch of bioballs, like the big giant round ones you put in sump, that may help with nitrates later on, . I also have 40 lbs of reef saver rock. I am setting up a 36 gallon bowfront, just because I got it for 100 fully plumbed (no overflow though) with a big eshoops skimmer and sump and wave makers, a hydor heater, sand and bunch of other stuff. I was going to flip it and keep the skimmer for my 72 gallon bowfront (because its over sized ), but I think I will use it for a while since I am cleaning the heck out of it and my future baby frags will have some time to grow then I iwll get the 72 plumbed and ready and maybe by then the reefsaver rock I plan to use now will be full of coraline and I can mix it with the carib sea liferock and it will match. Nothing I hate worse than white new rock mixed with live or coraline rock. What do you think of this plan? Does it make sense and do you think it will work out for me? I may have enough with 40 lbs of life rock and then the 25 that i may not need to use the reefsaver with it later on. How many lbs did you use?

    • @BillyPipes
      @BillyPipes  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah white rock next to old rock does look off to me too lol. Check out my most recent video, the rock is now completely covered in coraline algae👍

    I used it in Mollywood and I love the end result. And if you’ve got Zoas encrusting, then it must be that I can’t grow Zoas because I can’t get them to encrust...🤔 Looks beautiful, love the top-down. 👍🏻

    looks great billy!! I wanted to ask you a question. they boys and my wife bought me a couple of frags for fathers day and they got me some Acans!! would it be best to set them on a frag rack and let them mature a little? and where is the best place to put acans? sand or rock? I have a fear of putting them on the rock and letting them start to encrust and when we make the move to the 75 gallon I won't be able to move them over.... what are your thoughts?

    • @BillyPipes
      @BillyPipes  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like to keep mine on the sandbed. I would put them on discs until the move to the new tank. The don't encrust too fast so you'll have time👍

      Arches are definitely awesome

  • @karennation3580
    @karennation3580 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks awesome even without the frags having a lot of size! Make me think I may not need to set up the 36 gallon first, my thoughts were that it would look so boring and bare until they grow in but I will be buying very tiny frags compared to you like so far I have bought single head acans and zoas..haha. My blasto has about 5 and one zoa has 3 haha these are in my 10 gallon but will do the same I am sure for the bigger tank since its so much cheaper that way! I hope having all those neat caves and hiding spots dosnt make my fish just hide all day! What is the anme of orange zoas? Love how everything is so bright and neon, that is the look I am hoping to acheive!

    • @BillyPipes
      @BillyPipes  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The orange zoas are called bam bams. And yeah a tank usually looks odd with tiny frags but within a year its crazy how fast they will grow. I think coral grows faster when they have space in between them 👍

    • @lisademayo8589
      @lisademayo8589 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BillyPipes Do you remember how many of the 20-lb boxes you ordered? I think all the shapes and varieties of shapes come in 20-lb boxes, each containing 5 pieces, so yours might be 40-lbs worth shown? (this would really help me out if you can help. before i make a $400 mistake? lol)

    • @lisademayo8589
      @lisademayo8589 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BillyPipes you are the first one to be able to help me with this because seeing yours is literally EXACTLY how i want to do mine and i've never seen the rock in person so it's hard. my tank is 5' wide while i believe yours is 4'?
