Very interesting videos i have seen today. Soil is also very much important like trees. Soil is directly proportional to trees. Acid rain , denudation,bio magnification,etc etc all are related to soil. Thats why soil is also very much useful in good environment. So we need proper knowledge of farming etc etc . What I could imagine from Sadhguru's words... The soil holds the water. Just like a drop of water would tend to follow the same path and join with a bigger mass of water, in the same way, the water in the soil particles are also drawn into the stream either as micro-droplets directly, or trickle down through ground water. Then the soil particles gradually absorb water from neighboring soil particles. In-between there are microbes that absorb the water & nutrients as the water droplets are being conducted and they restore the soil fertility. They could even be filtering the water and holding the soil particles in place. This way there could be a gradual conduction of water micro-droplets throughout the land, which is ultimately replenished by organic material from trees and animal waste. Something similar to water and nutrients getting transferred all over our body from our intestine to every cell via blood cells etc, and absorbed across the cell membrane. And also every dead cell in our body is removed. So the whole soil is a living organism like us!... And we are based on the same design!! It looks like the entire ecosystems are intelligently sustained by the life in the soil, the right kind of nutrition being harvested and supplied to the roots of the particular species of plants!! #SaveSoil
