I'm small timing with my first little Cresent kayak, but I'm getting excited watching these videos. Last catfish was caught with my dad when I was a teen on yo-yo's and trotlines. This seems way more exciting!

I have learned more from you in the past 2 yrs than a lifetime of fishing. Enough to think to myself and tell my friends that I know how to catch them. I've shared experiences with my children that I could haven't ever done on my own and even though I don't give any content cash I am very grateful. I do let the commercials play lol.

I love to fish ledges and drift. We almost always have current flow in the Ohio river. But sometimes the dams may only have 1-2 gates barely open, and then that’s when I drag with planer boards. Planer boards are super effective on ledges.

I just started really getting into cat-fishing a couple years ago. I just wanted to say thanks for helping out on how to catch catfish in this area. I follow a lot of East Tn boys on you tube and I’ve learned a lot about how to fish the Tn River and these reservoirs around here. 👍🏼

I learned a lot of what I know about catfishing first from Dan Gapen and then from Doug Stange and Otis “Toad” Smith of In-fisherman, along with Jim Moyer and several others that contributed to In-fisherman. There was also other older fellars that I can’t remember their names right now. Now you and other fellars here may not recognize any of those fellars, they was probably before your time, but they were some of the first that made catfishing what it is today. If you know what I mean.

There are a lot of TH-cam channels for catching catfish. There are only a few that give the viewer the "how to" and those are the only ones I watch. Yours is one I NEVER miss. Plus, I find myself laughing out loud at the things you say and the occasional goofs. Two questions I have: (1) when you use bluegill, they are always live. I've seen you use crappie and white bass heads for bait. Do bluegill head pieces work as well? (2) If I sent you a hat or shirt emblazoned with an emblem of our good friend, Mr, channel cat, would you wear it in a video?

Hey Justin love your passion for cat fishing and the great video work you do to allow us to share in it all with you. I have been cat fishing since I was a boy on the Altamaha River in southern Georgia. Question. I see the reels you use are Daiwa Seagate bait casting which I love but couldn’t tell exactly the make of rods of late. Looking at them thought you may have changed recently etc. Thank you in advance for the information. Blessings.

Awesome video Brother. Man im in my comfort zone in the main river channel ledge ... We get a thermocline in the summer down here and we dont get a lot of current. Do any of your lake get a thermocline? Thanks for sharing all that info

Have you ever thought about using livescope , you can watch the fish hitting the bait, you can learn and teach more about how and what makes them hit, plus livescope has a huge following you’ll probably pick up a lot more viewers who just love the livescope. Just a suggestion. Heck check out how many views just plain livescope videos have.

Would your technique for the ledges change on reservoirs?
Those are Reservoirs he is fishing. it is the TVA that has put multiple dams on the Tennessee rives to generate electricity . It is a series of lakes starting at Knoxville go south and west there is between 15 to 20 different reservoirs .
That morning you got pissed at pontoon guy. Me and you would get along because we both like fishing and hate stupid people lol.
