Lance Henrikson played an android in Aliens and he also played an android in Alien 3, but in a smaller part near the end of the movie, so there has been one repeat.
@@mattyward1979 He tells Ripley he was the original, but when he gets hit in the head by the prisoner you can see his ear and huge flap of "skin" hanging from his head with no effect on him. I missed it at first myself!
Also, it makes perfectly sense that Androids would have the same face because just like the Terminator they had different models. Why wouldn't and Android have The same face if they were the same model for that year makes perfectly good sense to me. Ash and rook were probably from the same batch made in the same year, the same model. Maybe all of the medical androids had the same model so they would not be easily misrepresented by the company. I can see mining Androids and slave Androids being the same model as Andy. Bishop was an Android model that was nearly 80 years after Ash and rook. So of course he would have a different face. Just my thoughts
Since this film takes place between Alien 1 and 2, I thought Kay injecting herself with the black goo, was gona transform her into the Queen that Ripley kills in Alien 2
@@dangarza4496 right. Because when the rat was injected with the goo, the entire rat itself became a xenomorph-esque creature. And in prometheus, when the goo was inhaled by crew members, a xenomorph came directly out of them, without the necesity of a face hugger
I really enjoyed the movie. Wasn't a huge fan of that new creature at the end of the film. It didn't ruin the film for me, but I guess I've just never been a fan of the "black goo" lore introduced with Prometheus. Maybe it's because it's associated with the Engineers and since their storyline went nowhere, it kind of feels frustrating to keep having it pop up as well. The black goo now seems like it's just some magic wand given to the franchise as an excuse to make some weird alien variant with every new film now for shock factor. IDK, I guess I hoping for this movie to potentially reveal how a Xenomorph queen gets created instead of yet another black goo humanoid monstrosity that added nothing to the film's storyline.
For all we know maybe the future holds for us to see how a queen gets created. Could be on of the most disgusting things ever put to screen if done right.
I liked the movie but didn't care for the offspring, too much like the newborn from Resurrection and the way it "grew up" was straight jacked from the ending of the first Species, which is also based on H.R. Giger's designs. Still, there's lots of room to keep going from here. At the end you can see the station in the background. Once it hit the rings, friction would immediately start to slow down the station and it's very possible that the station would slow down enough to stop and just join in the orbit of the rings and the Remus half operated independently from the Romulus half so you could make a "twin" movie, it kind of feels like that was getting set up. Also, Kay's body, which was injected with the goo, is still onboard, she could easily pop back up. After that there is still goo left over that Rain brought on the ship. I was hoping for a different type of Alien at the end, more like the "snake xenomorph" from Bug Hunt, I think that would have been awesome. I'd definitely watch another Alien movie with Rain as the protagonist, she just needs to toughen up a little to be more Ripley-like and return as an action character.
Lol idk about you but I thought Rain was pretty tough in the end and even when she was killing Xeno's with the pulse rifle. But ya like you said I wouldn't mind seeing them show up again but it has to make sense.
This movie could have been much better if they were deacon like xeno alien at the end, but this movie is too messy for the plot and brings back a lot of things from the alien resurrection
Dude don’t be so defensive. I never said you use TikTok. It’s more of a compliment to these apps that are able to quickly do what I used to be payed lots of money to do (as a vfx artist since the 90s). I understand lingo changes with technology, I was just in “grumpy old man / stupid apps taking my job” mode
Dang man sorry it didn't turn out fully for you in the end. I think the full movie was consistent enough but I know it can't work for everyone. It's crazy because technically speaking the first 30-40 minutes is before the Aliens even show up.
I think the practical effects, set design and score were all incredible. The story and characters (minus Andy) were absolute dog shit though. The Rook CGI is where the movie started to lose me snd the James Wan Prometheus monster absolutely lost me. This script could’ve been written by AI
@@shoetheman It’s really not a wild take. The reviews have been super divided. I think it hinges on how much you like Prometheus/Covenant and forced fan service
I actually like 0:00 your take. It was pretty spot on. I do disagree. With your take that Andy and rain could have got away from the xenomorphs if you remember in aliens. 3. When Ripley Hicks and newt were sleeping that cryo pods, there was Two-Face huggers that stowed away on their cryopod one infecting Ripley and one infecting one of the cows on the prison planet that could have easily happened as the aliens can sometimes be asexual when it comes to the black goo black goo that rook had Andy bring on to the ship also. It could be very easy. Dad, they drift in space and end up at LV 427 before the colonial Marines and Ripley get there and they could be there at the beginning of the outbreak. Multiple repeats then, thank you for reminding me on that

Lol that's an interesting theory although I think might a bit too outlandish given that doesn't quite make sense but I applaud you for trying
I honestly thought something similar! I thought she would give birth to the queen

Dead Space and Alien Had a baby, this is it
If Fede made a Dead Space movie doing what he did here I'd be there day one
they had a vial of the black goo with them. where did it go? she brought it onboard the ship that she escaped on. its still on board i assume
I assume so ya I didn't think about that, my best guess would be that they would dispose of it but we just didn't see

I don't think it brings back as much from Resurrection as you think it does lol
Where is the rest of the black goo? Is it on the ship with them at the end of the movie? That's what we were wondering
I want to say it is ya but for all we know that could lead to another film
I love how vfx in movies now are just called a “filter”.
