I just received my X1 Yoga (Core i7, 16GB Ram, FHD, 256GB nvme SSD). Current date: 2015-05-20, shipped on 2016-05-16, arrived on 2016-05-19. Here are my comments: I was really nervous about this purchase as I have read countless posts about touchscreen issues and the less than stellar customer service. However, the unit came in pristine condition and everything works perfectly out of the box. I use the laptop with no scaling to maximize screen real estate. Everything is much more tiny than on a 24" monitor. However, it's still readable and I quickly got used to it. I use my ipad Air as a second monitor through the Duet Display app. My experience with the X1 Yoga so far is much greater than with the DELL XPS 15 9550 that I ended up returning because the keyboard on the XPS is horrible. I'm a software developer. I type a lot. The keyboard on the X1 Yoga is AMAZING!. The only small complaint I have is that I have to crank up the brightness to 75-80% indoor. On the DELL XPS 15, I could get by with just 50% indoor which leaves a lot more room to get more brightness when working outdoors. Thank god I work indoor 99% of the time.
I've been heavily using the X1 Yoga for a week now for software development. Returning the DELL XPS 15 9550 in favor for the X1 Yoga was the best decision ever. I'm extremely happy with my purchase up to now. I didn't fall into a use case that would require heavy use of the touch screen or wacom pen yet but the few times I did use it, it worked flawlessly. I feel very lucky that my unit has no problems up to now. I'm crossing my fingers to not have to deal with Lenovo customer service. :)
I'm thinking on ordering one like yours, but I am not sure how good lenovo support is in case of problems, then I saw your comment so I wonder if you know in case something goes sour, whether will they replace or not the unit? Do you know how bad (or good) is the support from them?
@alexitosrv I didn't have any issues with my unit that required customer support service from lenovo. So, I can't comment on that. It's hard to judge how good their customer service is because most people that post stuff on the internet are the few people that did not have a good customer experience. Most people that did have a good customer service don't comment enough. My advice is that if customer service is really important for you then don't buy the laptop online. Buy it from a physical store like BestBuy that will accept to refund you no questions asked and that can provide extra guarantees. I bought my laptop online because it was more important for me to be able to customize it. Usually, laptops at stores like bestbuy are already preconfigured and you have to buy it "as is" without the option to choose cpu, RAM, ssd, etc... Check at your local store first, if you're lucky, maybe they already have exactly what you want.
MrSoloDev I know that Post is old, but I just want es to say that I had to use the Support twice and they have been really nice, I got my Maschine back in less than a week. It Was excelent!
I'm normally a gamer so I've built my own gaming rig and normally worry about VRam etc. But I've wanted a laptop for long-term productivity and portability for quite a while (and it's as saturated as the gaming laptop world) and your reviews have honestly been the most helpful to me in figuring out which device is best for me. So thanks, keep up the good work :).
Everytime I start her videos, my ritual is to pause it immediately. And then say the following line mimicking her voice "Hi, this is lisa from Mobile Tech Review and here is the latest model for lenovo thinkpad X1 Yoga, we're going to look at it now". I know Im crazy... but that intro is very iconic.
Hey Lisa, I own the X1 Yoga with the QHD Option. There is an anti-glare screen, but its not as reflective as yours (more matte than not). All I see are the light sources if the screen is in front of a light. In your video, it seemed that you could make out lights, paintings, rooms, etc - with the QHD, you don't pick up that much reflection, only major (direct) sources of light. My biggest pet peeve thus far is my Bluetooth disconnecting from my Logitech mouse. Apparently its a problem many Lenovo fans run into daily; an annoying problem to have on an $1800 laptop. Feel free to ask me anything while you wait for your's to be delivered - I'd be glad to help!
+SOG989 I too was confused, "what does it all mean basil" would be a good starting point for these technologies. WiGig is a new standard for local wireless transmission (802.11ad). It has a 40 foot range (much like your typical bluetooth adapter) but has the upper speed limits of 7Gbps. This allows you to take typical wired dock (that allow external peripherals such as monitors, USB, etc,) and make them wireless.. Lenovo has a WiGig dock that is expected to release soon (if it hasn't already). Keep in mind, this won't replace your typical Wireless due to the limited range. WWan is your 'Wide Area Network', this is the SIM of which you speak. If you purchased the Thinkpad with the optional LTE-A, then yes, buy a compatible nano sim card and you can access the internet on-the-go.
Hey ..In the X1 Yoga..Can you please tell me if there is any scaling issues in the QHD..And if the battery life is descent enough..? Has the extra money for the QHD paid of or do you suggest the FHD model..?
to give you an idea on the value of a used thinkpad. i've a 1st gen x1 carbon that i bought used in 2016 and at that time it was a 2013 model. it is still ticking with windows 10 pro with original everything. the only thing that is a prolem is with one of the speakers is not working. i also have a p50 (same gen as this x1 yoga) and it is still humming along well..
You are an awsome lady! Pls keep these reviews coming. EVERY laptop that I search to see a review you have a video on it! AWSOME. That is all. Thank You
This channel has the best, most thorough tech reviews I've ever seen. She's very knowledgeable but keeps everything really simple and easy to understand even if you aren't a big enthusiast. Awesome stuff!
Lisa, given how wonderfully comprehensive your reviews are, I hope you might consider investing in an oscilloscope and photosensor to measure PWM on all the tablets and laptops you review. For many of us, PWM is one of the top five factors in choosing which laptop to buy, and cannot always be identified through the simple camera test, yet, if present, can cause terrible eye strain for the sensitive. The X1 Yoga's screen looks completely flicker free here, so I'll be definitely checking it out.
Just in case anyone else finds the trackpoint mouse not very responsive, I found the red rubber piece bottoms out on the keyboard and makes it hard to move the mini joystick. Even with most sensitive settings, the mouse pointer just doesn't move without a lot of pressure. To fix this, just take a small piece of paper and put it inside the bottom side of the red rubber piece. That will raise up the red rubber piece so it doesn't bottom out and then your most sensitive setting will truly be sensitive.
Excellent review...as usual Lisa! Looking forward to your extended review of tablet/stylus mode for this laptop. Very much looking forward to X1 tablet review too!
I have X1 carbon at work and it broke after 5 months of use. I love everything about Carbon except the quality. I really I wish I could try this new X1 Yoga. Thanks for review by the way, really enjoy your videos.
+Kris Livengood I might have a little insight as someone who previously had a Thinkpad and currently owns a Surface Book. Thinkpad: Lighter, more customizable (eventually), but can't get dedicated graphics. SB: Better battery life (70WHr vs 52 on the Thinkpad), heavier, more expensive upgrades. Both have excellent build quality. The Thinkpad is probably a little more rugged since it's water resistant and the SB is not. Personally, I think the Surface Pro4 is a better machine for most students. The ability to rapidly flip from pen to typing is a pretty massive advantage for students who have to take notes. The only big negative on the Pro4 is the not so good battery life. Sometimes I regret not getting a Pro4 simply because it's a pain to rapidly switch from tablet mode to typing on an SB. (IE type a bunch of notes, draw a diagram, go back to typing while in the middle of a presentation, project, etc.) Then again, the 14+ battery life on the SB when I turn off internet is a huuuge plus.
+Kris Livengood Actually I'm facing the same dilemma. I'd like to have an ultrabook which I can write on - but it seems so incredibly difficult for manufacturers to build a solid one. A little backstory for people looking for the same kind of device: I have used a Samsung NotePRO 12.2 tablet for about a year, which had Wacom EMR on board - incredible device. The downpit was the Android operation system, which didn't offer the same possibilities as Windows + Office + oneNote. So I started looking for an ultrabook: had two HP Spectre x360s ((2nd was a replacement) which were reaaly bad with writing, I have a review on the german Amazon about it; also the HP support policy in Germany is simply awful) and I am currently testing an Acer R7-372T, which - surprize - has drawbacks when it comes to the pen input (haven't found a compatible pen yet - with the Dell 750 AAHC only hovering is recognized - zero pressure sensitivity and no actual touch recognition. Acer support told me they support exactly one pen model, which is basically not available in Germany sets you back 50 EUR). BTW; really do not like the Surface Pro tablets: the keyboard is too thin and flimsy IMHO. When I tried it at a shop I forgot (that it is a tablet and not a notebook) to pull out the kickstand. The tablet toppled over and fell flat on the table - now imagine the same at the edge of a small uni table...
Only the ThinkPad has the trackpoint. Those of us who have used trackpoints since the 90s won't use anything else. I can do CAD drawings WO plugging in a mouse! Try that with a trackpad.
You did an excellent job reviewing this laptop. I bought one and it arrives next week. It's replacing my Yoga Pro 2 and I love that laptop more than any other PC I ever owned. I actually sold my Mac Retina 2015 as I hated that... And I also bought a Yoga 900 for my daughter and ... it too is really well made. Good job LENOVO! And good job on this review.
Used the wacom pen to create my signature in OneNote, then copy paste it in my word document (resignation letter) and published it as a PDF. Never been this easy to apply my signature to a document
Great review. Hope to see the X1 Carbon 2016 edition review soon. I am using a X1 Carbon 2014 edition. All things are excellent, except that its adaptive keyboard is truly a disaster. BTW,it is very hard for me to get used to it, because i always have to look down at the keyboard to find the touch keys.
Does it feel too much like glass when you're using the stylus? How bad is it? It always gives me that skeevy chalk/nails scratching against chalkboard feel:/
Hi.. Can you please do a smackdown of Lenovo X1 Yoga and XPS 13 Infinity ?. I want a lightweight model and wondering if those extra 500 Euros for x1 yoga in comparison to dell 13 are worth the investment ?... (Surface book is quite heavy to be compared to the two, in my opinion)...
Lisa, wonderful review! I've been using my X1 Yoga, with the same specs you tested and I can't wait for Intel/Lenovo to fix their display driver. This device is about as close to perfect as it gets.
I always look forward to your review. How long the battery runs on one charge for OLED Display? I read elsewhere that is is not having that long battery
I'm very disappointed to hear that the OLED version will have the same color gamut. Shouldn't OLED have much wider color gamut, be brighter, and have better contrast? I had expected it to cover 100% AdobeRGB. I was so sure it was the one I'be been waiting for, but now I'm not so sure anymore.
+MobileTechReview Please, stop calling it "AMOLED". It's an OLED display. "AMOLED" is just Samsung trying to sound fancy. Pretty much any OLED display works on an active matrix.
Lisa, great review as usual. Thank you very much! Could you maybe make a small statement about fan noise (is it high pitched)? Or was it in the review and i missed it?

Lenovo tried getting rid of the buttons and due to a very vocal objection, Lenovo brought them back. Which for the record I was and am a huge fan of the buttons. Too much time was being wasted clicking and then re-clicking because the pad was not doing a great job of determining a L-R click. I guess it depends on your use. I am always using R-Mouse click shortcuts.
+Ali Al-Zaabi They say in CES 2016, Lenovo will release the devies somewhere in Feb to April. Idk, but some Lenovo products are sketchy and overlapping. The 460 is a fatter version of X1 yoga anyways.
Exactly - They said they'll release it in November though for the 460 & its already Mid Jan? I actually just bought an XPS even though it costs more but I am sick of waiting for them! I was planning to get the 460..
Great review as always Lisa! Always so in depth. The X1 Yoga looks amazing. Especially as an an artist I can imagine how great this would be to try out. The large screen and Wacom stylus would make it ideal. I love the idea that Lenovo & Wacom have gone to the trouble of creating a variation of the stulus which is built to be more ergonomic for grip. I'm a big fan of ergonomics and I find that most stylus' are very poor in that area. Again, as an artist, I hold the stylus for longer than most users so it's very important. I know Wacom take their trade very important but it's very important for me as a user to see a company such as Lenovo turning an eye to it too. Again, thank you for your video on the X1 and keep up the good work :D
Love your voice and fingernails :D I know,... random stuff, but in such videos these small details make some difference. Thank you for the great review!
Hi. Thanks for great reviews. Can you please review the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga (2017 Kaby Lake)? A new design demands a new review! Anytime soon? Thanks! /M
thanks for the great review Lisa! Quick question. If I buy the X1 Yoga with with the cheapest SSD (the 128 GB M.2 SATA III SSD), would I be able to upgrade it with my own 500 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD or would the motherboard come with an M.2 SATA III port instead? I ask because I'm trying to save money and get a cheaper configuration with the cheapest SSD possible. Thanks so much!
I have a Vaio Multiflip and for next Semester i want to get a new Laptop. Pen input is a must so i have to decide between Surface Book and X1 Yoga. Please make a comparison between the two. Especially Ntrig vs Wacom is interesting.
Hi Lisa, Thank you for the wonderful review. I'm just about to pull the trigger on the Lenovo X1 Yoga with 1080 screen. I'm a little nervous because in your video, compared to the Surfacebook, the Lenovo looks VERY muted / pale. Were both screens in the comparison at full brightness when you filmed the review ? In your opinion is the difference between the screens as stark as the video appears ? Thanks again !
Hi, I experienced a lot of fan noise on my i7- configuration. The fan used to run wild when it was put to sleep. With a recent BIOS update, the fan continues to work not as much as before but sufficient enough to considered unpleasant. I have returned my X1 and was wondering if mine was an isolated incident or a common issue. I felt that the X1 Yoga was excellent in terms of the build quality, barring the fan noise. Hoping for your response as I intend on getting another piece if mine was an isolated incident.
This is a great review and helped me with my decision to purchase the X1 Yoga. However, I purchased the i7 version direct from Lenovo with a 5-7 estimated shipping date. It has been over three weeks and the estimated shipping date just extended another week. Four weeks for a standard build is ridiculous.
Lenovo confirmed shipment of my order 24 hours after I received notice that my order was delayed another week. In all, lead time was 3 weeks. On a side note, I was impressed that the 1TB SSD PCIe upgrade was only $235.
MobileTechReview Hmm, strange, I am a german student and I have a Yoga-460 since early December... I thought it was strange that there weren't any English reviews out when I bought it...
I'm debating between this and the Vaio Z flip. What should I do? A lot of the reviews are saying the X1 battery life is sub-par. Any advice. I could use it!
Hey Lisa, which one would you choose, lenovo thinkpad x1 yoga or Vaio Z flip ?? how big of a difference does the processor wattage make? Or do you suggest a different model (2-in-1 preferably but not necessary) ?
hi lisa, i love the yoga laptops and i was thinking of getting a yoga 900 with i7 and 16 GB... but can it keep up in productivity and durability with the x1 yoga ( not to mention the difference in price)? ... after all i dont want my laptop to crack down as iam a heavy user (no games, no pen writing)
Lisa, as you seem to have both the YOGA 900 and the X1 Yoga, could you at least say a few words how you feel they compare to one another? (maybe do a video?) Size comparison, weight comparison, quality, battery life comparison, keyboard comparison, display (brightness/color)? I know one is a consumer line and the other a ThinkPad, so obviously there are big differences in certain areas, but I would still be interested how they compare. Thanks!
+Lenard Gunda The X1 Yoga is built more strongly than the Yoga 900 and it has a much better keyboard. Their weight is similar. I prefer the X1 Yoga's displays for better contrast, despite lower resolution. Of course, the X1 costs a lot more too.
please provide a smack down between surface book and this. I had the book but it had way too many issues that could be fixed by software updates but I couldn't justify keeping it. This laptop with the oled display is something I'm very interested in. Do we know if this screen also is gorilla glass?
Hi Lisa, thanks for the review. Since both FHD and WQHD models have the same color gamut but different resolutions, theoretically how does the image quality/color/vibrancy differ when they are viewed side by side? The OLED model will be great but WQHD seems safer at the moment.
nice review, as per usual !, i would sign the petition for comparison with ms surface book, which i have and love !, and the lenovo 900s, when possible, thx...dan
Lisa! Please review the Yoga 710 14''! I'm looking forward to buy one for college (Law school) and wanted to know your opinion on this laptop! I've heard bad reviews about the keyboard and mousepad but want to know if they differ alot from this one! Thanks!!! :)
Hi Lisa, does the new X1 carbon (non-touch) also change the display panel from the dismal LG to something else? I couldn't find that information anywhere on the internet. Thank you! Enjoy all your videos.
hi, could you tell if OLED version will have intel HD 520 or iris( eg.540 ) GPU because there is no spec pdf for OLED ver, ive checked few spreed sheets , and power consumption should be better on OLED than IPS ( look mobile phones )so if higher power consumption is not about screen than it looks like different GPU ( iris has double cores than 520 ), models are not same because of different battery 52 vs 56 , so would you be so kind to check that ... ? I think, it would be checkmate Thinkpad X1 yoga OLED with iris from lenovo TOP SPEC SELL X1
Warning if you crack the screen you will probably lose functionality in the touch screen. It was falsely click on the screen randomly when you try to use the pen I would invest in a wireless keyboard with mouse so you can still use tablet mode if you want to. Other wise it is an amazing product I highly recommend it I also recommend investing in a second hand one because it is cheaper (maybe).Or I would make sure that the warranty will cover the screen and get a replacement but it might be costly if you live outside the United States OF America like Australia where I come from it might be hard to get engineers to inspect your device so make sure that they can send people out or if it is covered by warranty.
Hi. Lisa. I just got this laptop thanks to your review. However, it seems to have a built-in screen protector, which attracts a lot of lint and dust. I try to remove it but it sticks on extremely tight. I wonder if it's some anti-glare coating or something that cannot be peeled off? Please let me know!
I didn't know this had a pen(it was a gift) until I saw the video and popped mine out and can I tell you it is crazy exciting.
I just received my X1 Yoga (Core i7, 16GB Ram, FHD, 256GB nvme SSD). Current date: 2015-05-20, shipped on 2016-05-16, arrived on 2016-05-19. Would you prefer the X1 Yoga or the Yoga 460?
Would be happy to hear from you.
I am excited about the new Thinkpad line. Pls do more reviews of their lineup this year.
Best tech reviewer on TH-cam. Keep it up !!!! :)
I bought one: i7, 16GB, WQHD, 512 PCIe. Waiting for me when I get home. I'm pretty excited.
How it’s running? What the experience to use that?

+Branden Roberts I suspect our bright studio lights make reflections seem worse than they would in a normal home or office environment.
+Branden Roberts Hi, i'm a bit confused with some terminology like wgig, wwan etc. Can you connect to the internet using a sim card?
+SOG989 I too was confused, "what does it all mean basil" would be a good starting point for these technologies.
WiGig is a new standard for local wireless transmission (802.11ad). It has a 40 foot range (much like your typical bluetooth adapter) but has the upper speed limits of 7Gbps. I had the x1 yoga for a short time, only the "i" on the screen casing lights up, the one on the keyboard area didn't.

This woman should get a million subscribers!
Well …. She’s almost there now 😄
Might get it this year😅
Thanks Lisa, looking forward to the pen review! Will you be reviewing the x1 tablet?
+Elliot Russell Yes I'll review the X1 Tablet.
Is it still worth it in late 2019 as a used laptop in good condition?
Same question here ...
same question, have you guys bought this laptop?
used lenovos are pretty good in price / performance
@@BillCipher1337 Bought first a Yoga S1 i5-4600 and loved it. And now moved over to the Yoga 260 i5-6300. Love it !

I am in the process of choosing between the x1 yoga and the surface book for students, I would love it, if you would do a smack down.
+Kris Livengood I'm in the exact same process.
+Kris Livengood I think the surface book is a little bit better.

It is so cool that they are going to put an OLED panel in this laptop I've wanted that for a long time in a laptop.
Smackdown please with Surfacebook
Used the wacom pen to create my signature in OneNote, then copy paste it in my word document (resignation letter) and published it as a PDF. Never been this easy to apply my signature to a document
Where would I get the bigger pen for longer Graphic Design projects?
Thanks for respecting our requests.
Great review. Hope to see the X1 Carbon 2016 edition review soon.
I am using a X1 Carbon 2014 edition. All things are excellent, except that its adaptive keyboard is truly a disaster. BTW,it is very hard for me to get used to it, because i always have to look down at the keyboard to find the touch keys.
smackdown between this X1, Surface book and Vaio Z flip please!!
Does it feel too much like glass when you're using the stylus? How bad is it?
It always gives me that skeevy chalk/nails scratching against chalkboard feel:/
cool review as usual ,waiting for the lenovo x1 tablet
I love your reviews! I am very interested in this computer, but also see the Lenovo 40 yoga. Do you plan to do a review on that one too?
Wow. Another great review. Thanks a lot, Lisa. You are very competent and a great communicator.
Very great review! Can't wait for the pen one since I'm in the market for wacom enabled convertible for a while now. Keep up the great job, Lisa. :)
Update for the OLED version please?
Lisa, wonderful review! I've been using my X1 Yoga, with the same specs you tested and I can't wait for Intel/Lenovo to fix their display driver. This device is about as close to perfect as it gets.
+James Rainey The display driver is a Microsoft and Intel issue, it's not Lenovo's issue, or Dell's or any of the PC makers.
+MobileTechReview I wondered the same thing. Thank you for clearing it up!
Please review on the 2017 thinkpad x1 yoga with thunderbolt 3
the usual great video review. please make the smackdown against the surface book
Review of the Thinkpad Yoga 260 please! and a smack down as well. Cheers.
I always look forward to your review. How long the battery runs on one charge for OLED Display? I read elsewhere that is is not having that long battery
Great reviews. Can we please also have a review of Thinkpad X1 Carbon 2016 (gen 4) and maybe a comparison between the X1 Yoga and X1 Carbon 4th Gen?
I'm very disappointed to hear that the OLED version will have the same color gamut. Shouldn't OLED have much wider color gamut, be brighter, and have better contrast? I had expected it to cover 100% AdobeRGB. I was so sure it was the one I'be been waiting for, but now I'm not so sure anymore.
+Rob “Lunatique” Chang No, the QHD IPS display available now has the same gamut as the FHD version. The AMOLED should have very high color gamut.
+MobileTechReview Whew, okay. I must have misheard you during the video. Looking forward to the release of the AMOLED version in April.
+MobileTechReview Please, stop calling it "AMOLED". It's an OLED display. "AMOLED" is just Samsung trying to sound fancy. Pretty much any OLED display works on an active matrix.
+Rob “Lunatique” Chang I read somewhere that it has 103% Adobe RGB. How it can be more than 100% I don't know.
+Ire Min Mon "AM" stands for "active-matrix".
Lisa, great review as usual. Thank you very much! Could you maybe make a small statement about fan noise (is it high pitched)? Or was it in the review and i missed it?
Any feed back on actual battery timing between i5 FHD (pci-e), vs smae configuration with QHD?
How this stands today? (i mean first gen)
Thank you Lenovo,, and thank you MobileTechReview.
Lisa as always you give great reviews. I look forward to getting mine soon.

Buttons above the trackpad are becoming redundant, if not superfluous. Should have used the space for larger trackpad.
Yeah I totally agree. I was very annoyed at Lenovo when they removed those buttons.
+Ettore Dragone I hear you but it's 2016 for crying out loud. Didn't they have more than enough time to fix/improve the trackpad?!!!
Hi Lisa! An news about the thinkpad yoga 460? The yoga 14" skylake upgrade they announced back in September?
+hepollerin nope
+Ali Al-Zaabi They say in CES 2016, Lenovo will release the devies somewhere in Feb to April. Idk, but some Lenovo products are sketchy and overlapping. The 460 is a fatter version of X1 yoga anyways.
Exactly - They said they'll release it in November though for the 460 & its already Mid Jan?
I actually just bought an XPS even though it costs more but I am sick of waiting for them! I was planning to get the 460..
+blissrunner The 460 has the option for dedicated graphics and is priced cheaper than the X1 Yoga for comparative specs.
*****
yeap. Exactly why I am waiting for this one... If it ever get released :(
Hey, Lisa. Your thoughts on this one ca. May 2020? How do you think the hinges would have held up on them over four years? That's my major concern.
Want. I use an X1 Carbon w touch - great laptop but this would be even handier.
Quick question, do you have to make some changes to the display settings to get crisp sharp texts? Mine seems to be fuzzy
Thanks! /M
Does it come with any dongles for the OneLink+ port? Didn't the earlier Carbons come with a free Ethernet dongle?
great review! you don't annoy me, almost everyone who does reviews does :D
Hey Lisa, are you planning to review the new Toshiba Dynapad too ?
thanks for the great review Lisa!
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for the wonderful review.
Hello how is your ThinkPad?
Why hasn't there been any reviews (not just from you guys, but no one really did one) for the TP Yoga 260 and 460?
+Bastian Hodapp Lenovo doesn't have US review loaners available yet.
Will you do an update in June when the new OLED display?
Are you going to review the P40 Yoga Lisa?
+1 Here!, on a quick smackdown please....
Phan Tyon I now have both as well, and agree on Lisas points. What would you like to see or know more about regarding these two, Phab Tyon?
please provide a smack down between surface book and this. I had the book but it had way too many issues that could be fixed by software updates but I couldn't justify keeping it. This laptop with the oled display is something I'm very interested in. Do we know if this screen also is gorilla glass?
At this price it really should be AMAZING, EXCELLENT, etc...
HI! Love your videos!
Do you think OLED is worth it?
Is the screen burn in a real issue?
I would appreciate a reply! :)
Hi Lisa, thanks for the review. Since both FHD and WQHD models have the same color gamut but different resolutions, theoretically how does the image quality/color/vibrancy differ when they are viewed side by side? The OLED model will be great but WQHD seems safer at the moment.
Is the sim card slot a gsm one? If I bought a plan for it, could I do it on any gsm network?
nice review, as per usual !, i would sign the petition for comparison with ms surface book, which i have and love !, and the lenovo 900s, when possible, thx...dan
Any chance you will review the X1 Tablet too?
wow this is fast! maybe review the X1 tablet next
+Vincent Theo I'll let you know when I get one in for review to test.
+MobileTechReview Thank you.
yes finally...thank you soooo much!!! can you also do a comparison with the xps 15?
if you are writing, can you rest your palm on the screen or you have to keep your palm away from the screen or it will give you a 'mistouch'
hi, could you tell if OLED version will have intel HD 520 or iris( eg.540 ) GPU because there is no spec pdf for OLED ver, ive checked few spreed sheets , and power consumption should be better on OLED than IPS ( look mobile phones )so if higher power consumption is not about screen than it looks like different GPU ( iris has double cores than 520 ), models are not same because of different battery 52 vs 56 , so would you be so kind to check that ...
Looks good - functional not just pretty. Would appreciate a review or two of the new workstation Thinkpads - P50 especially!
Will there be a non-yoga X1 with Skylake? I really really don't need the 360° gimmick and I prefer a more stable hinge...
Thinkpads for LIFE!
I was waiting for this one, thank.
could you please compare lenovo thinkpad x1 yoga with dell xps 13 and HP spectre x360? what would be your recommendation amongst these?
Where do I find that synergetics control panel at 14:00?
Awesome review! When are you going to review the 1080p FHD model of the Dell XPS 15? :)
+Matthew L. Already reviewed it.
Lisa, will you be reviewing the OLED X1 Yoga unit when it's available in April?
+Ettornio I hope so, we'll see if Lenovo has a review program for the OLED model.
Maybe I missed it in this video but on your smack down can you discus speaker quality on X1 Yoga. Thx
staffpadd app need it to tell the difference between the stylus and the finger like on the surface, dose this do that too??
Hi. Lisa.
I just got this laptop thanks to your review. However, it seems to have a built-in screen protector, which attracts a lot of lint and dust. I try to remove it but it sticks on extremely tight. I wonder if it's some anti-glare coating or something that cannot be peeled off? Please let me know!
I don't recommend trying it... The "screen protector" is actually good for your eyes.
Will there be a review on ThinkPad Yoga 260?
