My heart broke for you in the beginning when you were crying. As a SA survivor I think it is incredibly important for all medical professionals to treat people with the assumption that their patient could have trauma and do their best to explain to the patient what they are doing and why (especially when they are examining private areas)
It sounds like you felt nervous and violated by that experience and I’m glad that your other experiences after were much better. ❤️

@LivvyAlexW they just weren't listening to me basically. I had been to Drs and urologists so many times, but they never decided to look in my bladder. They kept telling me it was a UTI.
It wasn't until I couldn't urinate at all, ending up in emergency, that I begged in tears, to a dr to please refer me to this urologist I had been told about through a friend.
Finally I got that appointment, but he didn't believe me either. Then once the camera went in, his whole demeanour changed. Within 2 weeks I was in surgery. I'm in the 1 percentile that none where cancerous (lucky for them).

That is unfortunate that it disappeared glad they were able to document it at least and glad to hear that your on your way to recovery I truly believe between your body and the choice you made and the decision of being on antibiotics at the time you took them did gave you the best possible outcome.

Thank you for being so open and honest. I myself have PCOS which means I have cysts on my ovaries. And obviously they’re different things but they involve the same thing and I am so glad you are open about it and not holding back because women go through these things and you speaking about it could help them and make them feel better.

I have a retroverted uterus too, Brooklyn. The only problem it has ever caused was........back labor. Both babies, all contractions were in my back.

Hi! I’m so sorry you had such a bad experience with the first provider. So glad your later experiences were good. FYI, the reason no one told you about the retroverted uterus is because it’s totally normal! Anteverted uteruses are more common, but there’s nothing wrong either way. Like how some people are innies and others are outies. Happy you’re doing well! Thanks for sharing!

I am literally going through this EXACT issue right now! Was mistakenly diagnosed with a urethra diverticulum, turns out it is an infected skenes cyst - gave me antibiotics that haven’t worked, now on a waiting list to see urology to hopefully get it removed but it will take months 🙃 glad you’re sorted, it’s awful
