Taylor was sacking guys with QBs dropping back substantially less then modern era NFL blowing past fullbacks and run blocking tight ends. Full backs are no longer used, tight ends are pass catchers, offensive personnel have entirely different skill sets with Taylor amassing 20.5 sacks as an outside linebacker instead of an edge who are lined up strategically to get to the quarterback as fast as possible. He has ways to go to enter the conversation.

The problem these days is we always immediately compare young athletes to past athletes & don't allow them to create their own identity & legacy. We overlook what makes them special as individuals & grade them against other careers. How can we compare LT & Micah when everything is so different & they're being asked to do completely different things in this pass happy, defensively shackled era.?... if you really wanna be honest, Micah has an edge in the debate because Offensive Lineman are way more intelligent & athletic now than ever, O-Line play is much more of a specialty now than then, Micah is NOT as big or physically gifted genetically as LT was, Micah doesn't have the equivalent supporting cast on defense, & Micah doesn't have BILL PARCELLS or BILL BELICHICK as coaches & leaders. Let's tell the whole story if we're gonna tell it.
