Its this new era where if you point out an athlete isn’t that great, you get labeled a hater. So everyone in the media has to pretend like this wouldn’t be a comically terrible decision
It's crazy to think that the "top end" talent will be getting close to half a Billion dollars in a few years for the NFL, Soto already got 700 which is insane
Dak makes $60 Mill A Year, and hasn’t accomplished anything Brock has Accomplished! It’s not about what you have done, it’s what the market says you are worth! They better pay him now, or it’s going to get even more expensive! I think 50 is fair for him, 65 is too much.
five year 275 for party with 200 million guaranteed and they probably won’t negotiate until one year left in that new deal. He doesn’t have the talent of Trevor Lawrence, but he has better results and he’s just as good Tua
I think that's the 9ers draft and team build style. They're putting the money in the entire rest of the team and throwing in a good enough QB. I bet Purdy doesn't get paid. They'll draft 2 or so QB's this year and have them compete to see who gets the spot. Ride that guy for 4 years if he's not a 1st rounder, then move on to the next Q.
We just saw what purdy will look like with an inferior roster due to his hypothetical deal and he cant get it done without an amazing cast on offense and a top 5 defense, and he can't play in anything that isnt ideal weather. 40m should be the max for a guy like him.
Listen, the kids just trying to secure his future. I don't know how anybody could blame him. I'm a Minnesotan and Vikes fan. This is different than us letting Kurt go. This is a young man with a future in the NFL.
Dude is set for life with 40m/yr contract. He shouldn't get greedy and demand 65m/yr just because Dak and Trevor Lawrence got big money. Look where jags and Cowboys are now
@@JimmyLeSpursis it greedy to ask for what the market says you’re worth? Is it his responsibility to manage his employer’s finances? The 49ers get to choose if he should be paid that amount and if it’s no then they will look elsewhere but he gets to ask for it-it’s no different than any other industry who goes to their boss and says pay me less than what my peers are getting especially if they’ve accomplished less. It’s on the 49ers to make a choice not Purdy to undervalue himself that’s not how negotiations work anywhere let alone in the NFL
The 49ers lucked into brock purdy the dude is a beast. What quarterback is successful without a supporting cast. I'll tell you no quarterback is so haters stop hating give the man his respect. And im a bengals fan
Sure, but 15 td's & 12 tov's despite having the #8 run game by yds/#6 by avg? The 9ers are 13th in pass block win rate. Kittle, Jauan, Mason/CMC, and half a yr of Aiyuk is better than a lot of groups. Remember when John Brown was the #1 weapon for the Bills in 2019? Or Marquise Brown for the Ravens in 2020 (Willie Snead was WR2 & he was on the 9ers ps)? Herbert has the 22nd best run game by yds, 25th by avg. A rookie is arguably the only WR who would make the 9ers roster. Chargers are 10th in pass block win rate 63% vs 9ers at 61%. Plus Purdy's not clutch. In 4thQ games w/in 7 pts, his comp% drops to 54% with 3 TD's to 6 TOV's and a 68 rating. Sounds like Rich is also saying he choked a lot at Iowa State too.
@@mko0lpmko0lp😂😂 puffy is very mid. But to your point there are only a handful of QBs that can win with very minimal talent around them. But you don’t pay Purdy too dollar knowing he needs elite talent around him to be successful
I'm not saying pay Brock $60 but he should get $50m at the minimum Putting this season's failure on Brock would be asinine. His #1 RB barely played his #2 running back also barely played. His #1 WR tore his ACL, his speedster receiver literally got shot. George Kittle a good but ageing tight end has been his only reliable weapon and even George has battled injuries. The defense has also regressed. Truth is there's not a single QB that survives this many injuries on both sides of the ball
Trevor, yes. Dak, no. Dak has 9 yrs of good QB play and only had a top 8 run game early in his career. Since then he's carried that offense & team's game plan to stop the Cowboys pass game. Everyone still gameplans to stop the 9ers run game 1st. Brock's worst run game is this yr & the 9ers are still 8th in yds, 6th in avg. But even if you said "yes" to both, the other question is, do both teams regret that decision not even 1 yr into the contract?
49ers fans suddenly treating Brock Purdy like a cheap hook up in a seedy parking lot nice when it’s basically free but not good enough to marry is funny lol the fairytale in San Francisco might be over😂…Jordan Love gets his 55M because he’s shown flashes of potential but Purdy’s got an actual resume and lets hits brakes😂 he’s just not the girl you wanna be seen with that draft status just is a blemish too far lol
Its this new era where if you point out an athlete isn’t that great, you get labeled a hater. So everyone in the media has to pretend like this wouldn’t be a comically terrible decision
LeBron started this 💯🤨
They're literally making up narratives to argue against. Purdy hasn't even vaguely hinted at demanding 65 million.
Worth $40m/yr max. If Brock is gonna be greedy and demand 65m after this mid season Niners should look at other options in FA or the draft.
Exactly what I said. There are some good QBs available in the draft
He's not even worth $40m a year!
No QB is worth $65 million let alone Purdy. The market is out of control, it’s like BTC bull market at this point
It's crazy to think that the "top end" talent will be getting close to half a Billion dollars in a few years for the NFL, Soto already got 700 which is insane
Please tell me where Brock Purdy is asking for 65 million?
I think Brock Purdy IS worth $65 million... just not per year. More like over 2 to 3 years
No quarterback is taking that in today’s market
Give him a baker deal 3yr 100m and 80m guaranteed
Dak makes $60 Mill A Year, and hasn’t accomplished anything Brock has Accomplished! It’s not about what you have done, it’s what the market says you are worth! They better pay him now, or it’s going to get even more expensive! I think 50 is fair for him, 65 is too much.

There isnt a single team that wouls take Purdy for $45 million. The teams who need qbs would rsther draft a qb on a rookie deal
Brock Purdy and Kirk Cousins would be the ultimate Agent Duo! 😳😳
If Pat is at 45m & Josh at $43, Purdy worth $35m
We just saw what purdy will look like with an inferior roster due to his hypothetical deal and he cant get it done without an amazing cast on offense and a top 5 defense, and he can't play in anything that isnt ideal weather. 40m should be the max for a guy like him.
If I’m Purdy’s agent I’m pointing at Jacksonville and Trevor Lawrence’s contract. Enough said.
We not the Jaguars. Pat & Josh around 45m
And im pointing him out the door
The salary cap goes up the salaries go up pretty simple, that's how inflation works

Only the 9ers think he’s a franchise quarterback
Then don’t pay him. Good luck. As Giants fan, I want him.

Pay him, that pay will also make up for the pay he deserved and Niners owe him for the past three season bailing out the org.
😂😂 niner fans insane
Trey lance never had a fair shot
He should get something in the neighborhood of what baker signed for
Trey L. Failure is on Kyle 😂😂
Well ask yourself this has he been more productive than Trevor Lawrence? Has he been more productive than Dak?

30 or 35 million Max.
Is any QB worth 65 mil? If I'm Brock Im not taking less than Bums like justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence
Who paying that?? Not us

If they like it then they better put the 5 year 320 million dollar ring on it!
@ or get a new cheap hookup…all options
he's better than kirk cousin's & kc got paid over a 100 million dollars extension
They're talking about 65m/yr which would make him the highest paid QB in the league
And that team already regrets it
Kyle s is overrated
Make him play out his contact with Kyle. No SB, let both go.
Hes not but he’ll get it from someone
