I like how his kit is simple and straightforward like that of Ginger Baker's in his Cream days - two mounted toms, two kicks, and two floor toms. And the snare of course. And man, those cymbals!
his kit has always been really simple....take a look at any pic of him playing with Black Oak Arkansas or Pat Travers. He's a monster.
+Michael Tew Greetings, and that's not bad! I mean, simple is best, and it's been the same set up ever since! :)!
Seeing Tommy 3 times twice with Ozzy and once with white snake he's a legendary drummer I mean he plays with his hands calm down and my style of dbl bass playing is mostly due to him one my biggest influ playing and will always be in my top 5 drummers live to see their isn't no one like Tommy nor will their ever be anyone that's comes close to Tommy hail tommy
One of my all time favorite drummers
Tommy is one of those drummers that make you go back to the woodshed and learn your craft. Inspirational. ...

Only now it looks like it's about to fly off his head.
It’s not his hair pal, it’s a well known fact he wears a rug these days.

Man! And I thought I was the Cymbal Killer! :-)
Black oak Arkansas....👍
Que Tremendo! tengo el orgullo de haberlo visto en vivo!
Intense! Does anyone know what is playing in the background? I just started drumming in my 50's and Mr. Aldridge is inspiring me to fight for more seat time and find the groove. I'm finally getting my left foot to play along on the dbl bass! Rock on Mr. A!
Is that a hi-hat top that he's putting the beatdown on? Next to the actual hi-hat?? I need one..
does he swing his left arm over his head for any particular reason or is it just something he does to add to his performance?
once you're in a groove and 'momentum', it also helps you to keep the intensity going , the 'visual' aspect' is also nice.
Josh Freese does it too,. and my life inspiration the drummer from the best band in the world Infant Sorrow.. it's just flare And helps fill time between beats..
Thanks guys! I'm gonna check out Infant Sorrow. Really enjoy hearing new bands
He does it to fend off evil spirits
Thrash1t hell yeah🤘🤘🤘
