I got my Paradiddling done in drum line. It was rough at the time but I am so grateful now.

You are my new drum go to guy. Thanks so much for sharing so freely. I think I can learn this lesson and not just dream of it. I like the three tempo format, it's not intimidating. You are the guy!

Appreciate your ability to take rudiments from a very clean technical marching style and explaining the application to the kit- including that you have to break that “corps style” application once on the kit but the chops can still help.
Favorite Corps : I’m a bit older now so it goes back a bit - I was in the 1979 North Star “chrome wall” snare line. No matter the year or the corps, I think anyone who marched shares a bit of a common fabric from the experience.
Thanks for the videos. I look forward to Tuesdays !

Thank you for your well thought out comment. I'm glad meet another drummer of the old school corps style, who appreciates what that experience offers us moving forward.

Everything looks so clean and new, you are really pushing hard for the quality of your channel. Even that camera moving around is such a nice thing. I cannot compete at this level right now on my channel, but it's nice to see someone else that seem to care even more then I do about drums. I was focussing on my sound and what I want to play, but your presentation is so professionnal that I think I will have to put more efforts to get better cameras, better lightning and the total black background eliminate distraction. I will subscribe and I must say it, your drum channel is top notch. Bravo!

Concurring with the other comments, your lessons are clear, slow enough and movement at first to adopt some other places to go too fast. I really clear and concise and I really like your playing you come across really well.!!

Hey Gabe from Ned in Spain and thanks for this lesson. You came up with an excellent way to use the pattern by beautifully integrating it into a sweet groove. I've found that the more I work seriously and consistently with rudiments the easier it is to learn new patterns and concepts. Take care Gabe.

Wow I have seen tons of videos, but nothing like this, it has the writting, plus 3 different tempos as well as warm up with doubles and singles and all of that makes it much more easy to put it into practice. Moreover the explanation is amazing. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. Can you do more related to Jazz? Thanks again, this is amazing!

Thank you for the kind compliment. In this life I've not been afforded the opportunity to perform much Jazz. I did a whole course on Jazz independence as a reading exercise on DrumTipTuesday.com I have done four lessons like this with triplets here on TH-cam that might be of interest to you. They're not Jazz but the triplet patterns are applicable.

For now just ignore that. Produce accented and unaccented notes however you're used to and put the pattern on drums. Just like with anything, pick and choose the parts that are useful to you and leave the rest behind.
