Honestly, Liz Hurley being the devil's disguise would work a lot more often.
Fun Fact: When the movie was in theatres, the phone number for God wasn't a 555 number, but an actual phone number used by people. So many people that had that phone number were bombarded by people trying to call up God or they thought it was Morgan Freemans number. They ended up changing it when it was released in dvd.

The part on the boat with the old woman and what he did to Evan freaking killed me. You should check out Number 23 or The Majestic. Jim has done a few non comedy roles and I really enjoyed both of those movies.
You gotta stay on the Jennifer Aniston train and watch more. The Break-Up, Along Came Polly, Marley & Me, Horrible Bosses, etc. She's in too many good movies 🤣

@@MastahChuck I have to back up Christopher on this one - I thought that movie was awful. But, everyone has their own tastes. That one was a downer for me. I like Along Came Polly and Horrible Bosses 1 and 2. What's your fav of Jen's flicks from her career?
@@xejelah Yeah exactly to each their own. I thought the movie was funny and something Leo would also find funny (been watching him from the beginning). As far as favorites it's hard to choose. Marley & Me has a special place in my heart but We Are The Millers is also biased because it was hilarious and my uncle worked on set. I actually haven't seen the Murder Mystery movies so I can't say I've seen her current stuff but I'm sure they aren't bad.

Fun Fact about Jennifer Aniston that you may not know. She was offered a spot on cast at Saturday Night Live right around the same time that she got the script for Friends. She had a meeting with the big wigs at SNL and then decided against it. The SNL people told her she was nuts for turning down SNL to do a sitcom. But somehow, she knew.... Friends ended up being a way bigger deal for her than just being one of many comedians on SNL. She's the GOAT in the sense that she always seems to know what roles to take and when they will serve her best.

As an actress, I think she's been pretty consistently working throughout her career, but her movie roles are very hit or miss. Even the hits aren't usually blockbusters. I think this movie was her highest grossing one.

When this movie came out, I remember my friend saying, "It's about time they made him God."
I'm curious if this could have worked as an anthology show with Morgan Freeman being the only returning cast member who every episode gives a totally different person Godlike abilities.
Morgan Freeman as God was the most perfect casting role EVER.
I remember this movie, it's very funny but also a good lesson in it's own way, sometimes how good you've got it until it's gone, also God Like power is probably not a good idea to give to normal people

Evan Almighty is also a good movie. It is a sequel to Bruce Almighty but not directly like typical movies. Steve Carrell and Morgan Freeman reprise their roles. It is about Evan Baxter building the Ark.
