Idea for starters: Switch it on an use the knobs on the right hand side to dial in a great JTM 45 sound. 😉 Yes, the 6100 has MIDI and I love it, as it allows me to switch channels from my effect board for clean, crunch and heavy gain. As 50 Watters sound might be for some, there is this weird LOW switch. This amp was meant to give you all past Marshall sounds, so they kindly gave us a couple of switching options. And they were even wise enough to explain all the clever options including Power Amp damping (set it to AUTO). A little brochure does the magic trick. Thanks for the video! I Think I will have a look at my Capacitors soon, even though my 6100s seem to work just fine even 30 years later.
I replaced all of the ones on the board with the power valves on it. I used Nichicons. I just went for the same values as the old ones. I don't think I recapped the power supply

Yeah it's a great amp so much packed in to it, but no rubbish! Certainly is a fiddle to work on, but well worth it!
Sounds Great ! Think I need to recap mine. Can you point me in the direction of which exact capasitors you got from Mouser ?
