Love the makeover, especially the island. Really, really, like the darker stain on it and the black painted bottom. One thing to think about is going to Home Depot and getting a piece of wood to go on the top of the new white cabinet. Then stain it to match the island top and shelves. You could then add a white or cream lazy Susan or tray, to offset all the wood tones. I think the contact paper works around the sink, but it's more noticeable on the cabinet.

It’s beautiful! I feel like spaces can always be freshened up. I love the stools, at first I was going to suggest to paint them to match the island but I think they’re great the way they are. They match and break up the solidness of the island. Stunning kitchen! 😍

I think it turned out great! I actually have those bar stools. Mine are a dark chocolate stain. They are against an island that I wallpapered in grass cloth that has a hint of green. Gives it a kind of oriental beachy vibe if that makes sense .

I live the kitchen. I think the stools are good for this space. You really do need a stool that can be tucked under the island so not to hinder the flow. So for now, I think they work.

I love love love the island and the lime wash walls. What catches my eye is the stark white cabinet. Someone mentioned painting it or using sea grass to tone it down. I was wondering can you not get a small apartment sized stove in your space, or do you even want one? The overall vibe is so cozy, airy, bright and comforting much like yourself. I love everything Jasmine. I just wish you lived on the east coast, I would definitely hire you!
Hello!!! Thank you so much and as far as the stove- I can’t get a legit stove cause there’s no real venting system beyond my window in here so fire would be a no go, I believe. I would love to change the white cabinets but I didn’t think I could paint cause the material would just scratch off and potentially look worse and then I didn’t feel confident enough with the contact paper over the ridges lol I didn’t even try. But it did cross my mind. Lolll 🥰💖🙌🏽💕 thanks for the feedback I might try it if I can watch some tutorials or something where someone has mastered the contact pape 😅😅
You pulled it off. If you want tht total organic look, I suggest a lttle less things on the shelf. A bit more empty space. The stools look simple and fresh. I like it. lol well hello there 💖 I am currently changing my space since I moved in here to fix some of the things that were damaged and needing to be updated. Im not sure if you actually watched this video from the sound of it. However, I will continue to update and change the space even after those things are done because it is a hobby and something I enjoy to do. Similar to someone going to the movies vs staying home to watch Netflix or going on vacation instead of staying home and enjoying their own house-there are many things we do for pleasure that we don’t need to do. The advantage of sharing it on TH-cam is being able to connect with others who love the same things, to inspire others to create beautiful things who don’t have as much money, also now I make money and get free stuff that i used to have to pay for when I didn’t film what I was doing. Sometimes people are constantly consuming and buying things because they are unhappy other times people consume and take care of themselves or their spaces because they actually love and care about themselves and enjoy it. So I can see how there may be some confusion because the outward behavior may look the same but the motivation comes from a different place. Alas, I’m not sure how you found my channel but this is a place of love and light and I work really hard to be authentic with my life experiences and what I’ve been through. I don’t use home decor to fill a void i actually took a step back from TH-cam when I was unhappy to go work that out with God. I’ve shared that here on my channel. Anyways, my prayer for you is that you would know the love and light of Jesus wherever you find yourself on your journey that you would be someone who goes out of their way to spread kindness and joy and uplift others Especially If you thought someone was unhappy that’s even more reason to encourage them.
