I've had the Surface Duo, and Moto G Power 2021, and the Note 8 was STILL the better phone. I'm getting ready to factory reset mine, and activate it on an unlimited talk, text plan with around 6gb data for $10 using Verizon towers. It still has Mobile payments, good camera, better screen, samsung dex,etc. Basically way more features than my newer phones, so i'm going to use it till I can't anymore.
Thanks for the review. Would you recommend buying one in 2024? Will the battery be the same after 5 years exploatation? What about the seized security updates and OS updates? Thanks
I imagine that would be hard to find, as the phone came out in 2017. The battery would probably still be somewhat degraded, but you can always replace the battery
what about getting no updates for note 8 at this point? and how long will this phone be good in your opinion, before samsung cause it stop functioning well somehow all together?

Nice phone for romming and keeping alive, always loved that screen!
I'm still using mine and still think it's better then my other phones that are newer

If you can find one with a new battery, they are still good phones. The are no more updates though
If u like the notification u should use edge lighting, when youre phone is flipped over it would shine a ring around the screen its pretty cool
It only does it once though right? The Note 8 keeps blinking until looked at

There are no more OS updates, it you can still get app updates. I think it will still be a decent phone for years, but no one can say for sure.
All of a sudden giving problem with the touch..
I use one before, was qn excellent phone but the battery was awful
Now is 2024..end im thinking to bay note 8...
