Good stuff. I always appreciate your frank and sensible tips, along with the humour 😂 Following your own advice and plan is always a lot harder than you think on race day. Best of luck in 4 weeks 👍🏻🏃♂️
How I envy this trial! It looks so nice on a video and 30- something K in hilly therein is what I like most. 27 C degree in April is crazy (0 time to accommodate to heats), but I think I would have lots of fun. My proposition: when it is hot, uncover your ears and all of hands. Earlobe is vascularized. When it is hot it is a very big area of cooling. That is why it gets hot and red in hot rooms in winter. The same with hands. I don't understand all the talk about sunhats. For me they do nothing at all. They only create a small, unaired, hot space above my head, and prevent perspiration. But maybe that is, cause I do sweet much more then others. In my opinion they only work, if they very breezy and lighter color then hair head scarf. F. E. straw hats. Those however tend to fall of during running. There are also umbrellas mounted to head with a strip. Very effective, but those don't do well in wind and jerk during run.
My experience is that the sun hat takes a lot of the force of the sun. But actually, the main reason I stay so covered is that I am highly susceptible to skin cancer: I have already had several BCCs removed. I'd rather get a bit hot than expose myself even more. I feel that most trail runners (who are mostly younger people) expose themselves to skin damage far more than they realise and will probably regret it one day. I did a whole video about that. It is my least popular one :)
Bravo Sir, even with the heat/ sun a great result, sadly here in Blighty, our constant obsession with the weather continues as does the xxxp weather, with four seasons in one hour😮😂 but hopefully we will get a little of your recent heatwave. Hope your training goes well toward Innsbruck 🤞

In Innsbruck I removed my buff and just used my hat. Actually helped a lot :)
Glad to see the test run went well! Can't wait to finally see some crappy weather on your channel when you (hopefully) report on this week 😁
I wonder if a video of me trying to figure out how many winter layers I need in Leipzig will be a big winner0
