I really hope Kuma will get to see Luffy as Nika and kuma being recognized as a hero before he passes. Just how he wanted (and yes I know people dosen't always need that recognition for it to be true but still). He can rest now that Nika is here, hearing the drums of liberation that his father spoke so highly of.
This might be a stupid idea: but what if Kuma gains back his consciousness after hearing the drums of liberation from Luffy going Nika-mode again, and he gets to say a final proper goodbye to Bonnie?

I suspect Kuma might play a role in saving the Celestial Dragons during the God Valley incident, and that's why as a reward he ends up becoming the King fo the Sorbet Kingdom.
i would really like to see how he became the king of sorbet kingdom considering himself wasn't a prince and his dad just a commoner.

There were a few other things that stood out to me in this chapter. The big one for me was that Saturn of course looked the same as he does now but the other thing I noticed is that Garling and Saturn are not wearing bubbles at all when they were at god valley even with the rest of the Celestial Dragons were there. The rest of them are so adamant of wearing bubbles everywhere they go. But Saturn and Garling are not wearing the bubbles at all.
Edit: Something else when Saturn was stabbed, normally Celestial Dragons cry for the Marines to protect should any harm happen to them. Here, Saturn was disgusted it seems by the prospect of the marines coming to aid him.

Pretty much confirmed that the Gorosei are immortal at this point. Last chapter, Saturn recognized Luffy as "Nika!!!" Seems like it came from a place of familiarity.
All of them are celestial dragons.
I think that the god’s knights might be comprised of people all coming from just one family, the Figarland family. Similar to the Zoldyck family in Hunter x Hunter, this might be one of the twenty families that has the sole Job of protecting all the rest of them.

It would be dope if one family were the fighters among the celestial dragons(not including the gorosei and imu) but i think we got 10 more celestial dragon familys left unintroduced and oda can flesh them all out with the god's knights
yea im on board with this, i was just thinking how shanks story might be similar to sanjis really. Instead, shanks is the outcast of his family (the god knights like you said). We've always known him as "Red Hair Shanks" just like how for awhile sanji was just "Black Leg Sanji" until we later learned he was a vinsmoke and very well known and popular(infamous? lol) in the world. Now we know about figarland so im interested to see if the God Knights all look like shanks as well
Ironic that Big Mom herself had traits of the 3 races she was missing. She was tall like a giant, strong like a Buccaneer and near immune to physical attacks like a Lunarian (plus the fire hair). Could it have all been foreshadowing? :D

That's that the Buccaneer reveal, it's implied that EVERY strong "big human" is a Buccaneer so Buccaneers can't be one of the 3 races she doesn't have in Whole Cake because she's already one and by extension so is Smoothie, a Buccaneer Long Leg hybrid
Im really starting to appreciate Gear 5's silly cartooniness. Like I wasnt a fan of it at first but now i understand why Oda said he doesnt want his manga to get too serious. The celestial dragons are some truly horrid people and shit is going to get real dark when we get the full picture

Few corrections:
1 - I believe Stussy said that line in Whole Cake about Pudding reminding her of her younger self because she is a clone of Bakkin, who was in fact old enough for that line to make sense. Maybe she's an older clone who doesn't age, granted, but I think that's more of a byproduct of her cloning process.
2 - I also found it weird that Saturn calls people "Humans" as if he's not, but that's actually a common trend among celestial dragons. Doflamingo's father himself was exiled from Mariejois for saying "We are also humans".

It's been stated that Luffy somehow always knows who he needs to fight (knowing he needs to fight "pigeon guy" Lucci before knowing he was the strongest adversary of that arc), so I imagine Roger having the same intuition and knowing he needed to fight Rocks when at God Valley.

I like how Franky using Strong Right to push Luffy out of harm's way was a nice callback to Long Ring Island Arc, where the Strawhats struggled to keep Aokiji from shattering Robin's frozen body.

It's wild to think that I have been following Sawyer for over 10 years now. These videos are so insightful and still one of the highlights of my week.

Gorosei being resistant and eye force is probably scientific. Sanji facing Saturn is probably an indicator of the scientific knowledge of the Gorosei.
I still think Xebec is Shanks’ father and Shanks’ mom is Garland’s sister. I believe the Gorosei didn’t like any celestial dragon especially one from the Figarland family dating someone from the D. clan, so they decided to hold her execution on God Valley and that’s when Xebec made his way there to get his son and wife, but ultimately failed.
If thats the case i find it hard to see why gold roger would ally with the marines to stop him.

Oda is the king of sad and dark back stories.
Usually Oda does not kill off any characters in the present story line. What if the light of the Sun god Nika prevents this darkness and deaths of innocent wherever Luffy is. As we mainly see the journey of the strawhat pirates, this explains the big contrast between present and past.

Big News Helmeppo (Big news Morgan’s predecessor) spreaded the information of 6 powerful DFs as prize for the winners of God Valley to the underworld. Roger Was chasing the Nika fruit. So he followed all bread crumbs he could find. So he participated in the battle and took one treasure chest with himself but Shanks was hidden in there.
Xebec was hunting for the strongest just like Blackbeard in the current story. So he participated God Valley with his whole crew.
Linlin already got her DF in her youth but was capable of chasing one chest and took the fruit with her. As the world government and marines were about to win the battle, she gave the fruit to Kaido. In return he had to take her off the island with his new dragon abilities.
Whitebeard got the Gura Gura no mi, but was chased down by Garling. As he was distracted by the bad tasting fruit(distraction is his curse), Garling could injure him deeply. But thanks WB‘s Bucanneer genes he could survive the injuries. He then created a tsunami of healing water(reference to the sake, shanks brought) and healed a bunch of injured pirates, who called him Pops from now on.
Together they could overcome Garling and escape the battlefield.
Rocks fought Saturn and couldn’t stand a chance. Saturn stabs him through the heart, but enables Rocks mythical Yomi Yomi DF, type Schroedinger‘s cat (rocks Jolly Roger has the shape of Brooks ghost form, he is now both dead and alive). Switching to his ghost form his ghost escapes into the parallel underworld (similar to Bruno’s door door world) but his physical body was blown apart by Saturn Demon Wink.
So he followed whitebeard in the parallel underworld until Whiteboard recruited a young Teach with a strange body (Gen defect: two hearts, giant blood and human bloods) and considered him to be the perfect shell for his second life so he stabs the giant heart with his demonic shadow powers (reference to original Blackbeard Thatch flag, horned devil stabs a heart)
From that day on the young Teach was only himself by night and got to hear of the cruel things his alter ego was doing daily, unable to sleep, crying through the whole night(reference to SBS: Teach as a child)

What’s also interesting is despite Saturns seemingly pompous attitude towards humans, he still seems to show a level of respect and amicability towards Vegapunk. Even on his way to the island wishing he didn’t have to do what he had to do.
Probably because he is more useful to their cause alive. I doubt he is showing hesitance out of sympathy.

Been here since Sawyer’s Naruto 4th great ninja war review videos. Especially when the edo kage first showed up. His channel transitioned me from a Naruto fan to a One Piece fan. I was 16 then and now I’m 26. I’ll continue watching your reviews from one of my favorite TH-camrs as long as he continues.
What if god valley was under the protection of Rocks, similar to Yonko having control of certain territories, and when the world Nobels invaded, ROCKS came to their aid.

But how would Roger be involved then? What would be his reason to go there?
God's Valley being Rogers territory would make more sense to me.
The Celestial Dragons go there for their Hunt -> Rocks see this as a chance to attack them and cause havoc -> Roger comes to their rescue and teams up with Garp to stop Rocks.

rather than Roger attacking the Rocks' Pirates, could it be that Rocks wanted to capture Roger for his ability to hear the Voice of the World?
Luffy wanted a musician for his crew even before he had a doctor. The Nika dance plus drum beat performed by Brook could boost Luffy to get to the same power level as Saturn. So Kumas appearance will serve different points:
- introducing the dance to the crew
- stalling Saturn until Luffy can go back to Gear Fifth
- sacrifice himself for the crew and give the Nikyu powers to a strawhat (2-9 number theory)
If the crew does obtain the Nikyu Nikyu fruit which one of the members would you want to see eat it?
@@brucekent9085 Vivi is still kind of part of the straw hat pirates and will certainly join them during or after egg head as big news Morgans will write an article about the biggest incident after Ohara. There is a huge power gap between her and even the weakling trio. So I would like to see her eat it.
Robin was thinking of cats when she saw Kumas paws. Cats were treated as gods in Egypt, nefertari was the women of the Egyptian pharao Ramses. So it fits pretty well.
The other crew members don’t fit at all tbh and I think they will further improve in the things they are experts in without DFs.
Sanji always wanted to eat the invisibility fruit.
Franky doesn’t want to have a DF, as he needs to be able to swim.
Namis abilities are weather based and she just got Zeus.
Ussop will definitely get advanced observation haki, which boosts his sniping abilities even further.
And Zoro would be overpowered 😂

@@brucekent9085 Then the fruit needs to be some mythical Zoan fruit (to give the weapon a soul) and that’s not confirmed yet. But it’s still highly possible. There is a theory that the paw paw fruit is the cat fruit model Bastet (Egyptian women/cat god). But that fits to Vivi even better. Maybe the paramecia part of the mythical zoans are active by default and the animal them gets only activated on the awakening
I just heard a theory that the fruit will appear on nami’s tangarine tree, sunny will eat it, creating their escape off the island. That’s what I’m placing my bet on. Remember kuma protected the sunny. This will be a perfect farewell.
seems like everyone missed an important point. the race cleansing game in god valley draws obvious parallel to the game enel did in skypea were it is a survival game to win something in the end. dessrosa had the same thing. so this is probably a foreshadowing to the end of one piece and the greatest battle, especially when the gorossei asked imu if its time to start the great cleansing, which is like the game in god valley, but only on a bigger level where all of the races combined are victims. so whenever someone pretends to be a god whether its enel, dofi or imu, they all chose a survival hunger game that seems like a battle royal just like oda said the end battle will be like. so imagine an all out scale war where everyone is fighting everyone in laughtale for the onepiece, the ultimate treasure, revolutionaries, marines, holy nights and pirates. winner takes all and decides what the history is.
It is plausible that the legend of nika that is told among prisoners in mariejoas ( whos who legend) was initially started by kuma's dad! Kuma bartholomew , saint bartolomeus in the bible is tue saint who never lies. The same Kuma that is carryng a bible with a godness enveloped with fire upon it ( amaretasu) , and the same kuma who is awaiting nika and the same kuma who saved strawhats two times... coincidence?dont think so
Funny thing about the word “gorosei” it is a pun on the word “五芒星 Gobōsei” meaning pentagram. This whole time Oda was telling us they are demons😭😭😭

The first draft for the Seraphim was cloning the Yonko combined with Buccaneer-Lineage. Hence Weavil. It did not work out and then Vegapunk changed his plan to Warlords + Lunarian.

Haven't seen anyone point this out, but the "Ninokin" book child Kuma is seen reading is a reference to Ninomiya (Nino) Kinjiro (Kin).
He was a real life japaneae agriculturist who lost his parents as a young boy. Often times depicted as a statue of a man carrying a bundle of sticks, and reading a book, much like Young Kuma.
Pretty cool to see where Oda gets his inspiration if you look a bit deeper into some of the small stuff!
He's also a classic symbol of overcoming hardship through perseverance, which would fit Kuma pretty well.
I am looking forward to Kuma's reason on who or what made him intervene in Sabaody.

I think we already know why. Vegapunk knew about gomu gomu being a fake fruit and it’s real potential. I’m sure he communicated it to Kuma and that lead to him saving luffy also sending them to places where they can grow.

My theory is that Saturn's powers work only if you look/make eye contact with him. That's why the weak marines were told not to look at him.
But the real question is why the Celestial Dragons don't eat the DF's? They could have almost any DF but they feed it to the slaves, and they never eat them.
Has to do something with Raftel. Remember that the 2 DF user in Gold Roger's crew couldn't make it because they got sick. It ain't no coincidence right there.

what i found most interesting is that kumas fruit was deemed a liberation fruit as well. I think luffys drums of liberation affect sound and bring hope. kumas paws of liberation affect touch. and there are many other liberation fruits that go along with the 7 senses. and the one that affects taste sense is the only good flavor of devil fruit

Didn’t figure saturns hybrid(?) form was soo huge. Like in human form he looks relatively the same size as everyone else. But here bonney is absolutely enclosed by his hand. Meaning the gorosei all have large demonic/monster-esque forms

If the Lunarians resemble angels in the OP world, then a bible reference could explain the origin of the giants. In genesis 6,4 it is said, that angels came to earth and got children with regular woman. Their children were super strong giants called Nephilim. As the Adam and Eve trees exists in OP, Oda must have red Genesis at some point of time and must have got some inspiration there.

From the direction that God Valley incident is taking, considering Kuma's and Ivankov's presence (maybe Dragon will be there too), I think the Freedom Fighters was an organization aiming the liberation of slaves, initiating after God Valley.

Maybe Garland losing all those points in the beginning is what makes him lose Shanks. If he's unable to recuperate them because of the upcoming battle then he has to give something up for being the loser of the game. Just a thought.
I think Shanks is the clone of Garling, but not an artificially created clone like the ones from Vegapunk. I’m saying, Garling has the Clone Clone fruit and creates one baby version of himself every 25 years.

WB must have got the wound from ~ 26 years old Garling during the god valley incident, as during that time the 36 years old WB was part of Rocks crew. Shanks was 37 when he clashed with 72 years old WB, but the resemblance was still there.
Back to God Valley:
Roger took the 1 year old baby Shanks with him, so Garling created another clone, that looks just like Shanks, as only one year separates them.
Garling was the father figure to this baby version and raises the baby to inherit his will and learn from his experience of the last 800-900 years.
This would make him semi immortal and would expain, why he is considered special among the CD(executed Mjosgard) and has the title of Holy Knights Commander. He is also not wearing any space suit on God Valley just like Saturn, although God Valey is not on the redline.
Theorizing further:
* The oldest Garling has the Clone Clone no mi and is the commander of the holy knights and serves as the judiciary and executive of the CD
* the oldest Garling never leaves Mary Joa to secure the DF
* Before the oldest dies due to aging, the second oldest Garling has to eat him, to obtain the fruit.
* Shanks never visited the Gorosei, it was the 38 year old Garling clone
* Garlings clones were the reason for VP and Vinsmoke to research on cloning, just like Kizaru was the root for the laser beam research
Before you think: Garling and Shanks don’t look the same. Shanks appearance has drastically changed within the manga. The 39 year old version we know fits really good to the young Garling in God Valley. IMHO even better than 27 year old Shanks version (Foosha Village)
I might be totally wrong like most one piece theories, but sharing those thoughts is just fun and once again an amazing chapter from Oda.

I think they have the original devil fruits but I think the whole changing places with the walls got mixed up with devils being inside the fruits and somehow joy boy ended up deciding to work with Vega punk or somebody to put him in a fruit or something idk

G5 white aesthetic/white hair/rubbery body🔥 abilites/invulnerability to blunt attacks, fire, lightning = lunarian/mink traits.
G5 Also has giant powers.
Next power for luffy is logia awakening. Why because Luffy has already shown paramecia and zoan awakening abilities. Next will be whatever the logia awakening does, so whatever kizaru does with his light awakening when he gets back up, but Luffy will do it with the sun and be able to manipulate the mother flame, which imo is clearly connected to Nika.

Almost 1100 chapters in, and now we get a tournament of power in this story. Let's place bets on how long the competition will last before it gets interrupted by outside forces.
My prediction is just as Figureland about to get the victory something happens to stop the tournament.

Shanks was already confirmed to be part of that family in Film Red, the gorosei were questioning if Uta was related to him
