Wow this is the longest vlog I've made yet 🤭 ! Let's catch up on what I've been up to from December to March :D I had some festivities over the holidays and shortly after I got back to my normal routine. Owning a business is so much more difficult than working at a job 😂 prob good to do both if anyone’s an anxious person (like me ahaha)
Yeah I can relate to both sides 🥹 sometimes I feel like I don't have enough time for my own art and can imagine the fulfillment of seeing your own business grow and thrive, but the security of having a job to rely on is also very comforting!

I am inspired by your diligence and persistence on this business, I’ve been watching other similar channels, and want to launch and start something like this. As an artist, myself, I’ve created my own characters and will start making stickers and using polymer clay to make figurines. Thank you so much for sharing your journey. My daughter just turned one and I hope to build a business one day give to her so she may take up the mantle, if she so chooses. I can’t wait to see your next video.

Recently discovered your channel and your clay pieces are some of the best I’ve seen! I think you did a really great job with the Meryl sheep sculpture and really captured the floofiness! Also when you showed that sugarcane/egg waffle place, I was excited that I knew where it was since I go there almost every month. I love being able to get a huge bottle of sugarcane juice from them, which I haven’t seen offered like this in GTA before. It’s such a treat :) The tofu fa and soya milk are great choices too!

I've always been super curious - what is that bowl that you use to make your little trinket dishes? It looks like it's the perfect size and shape, I've been looking everywhere to try and get something similar! Everything you create is so amazing and beautiful ❤
Hi Aki! 🥰 It's actually a soy sauce bowl that my mom bought when we were on a trip in Japan! LOL 🤣 It's one of those coincidental things and just making what you have around your home work for you! I think you should be able to find something similar in asian kitchenware/ceramic stores ❤! They come in many sizes and shapes!

Welcome welcome and thank you so much for subscribing 🥹💕! I went to school for Neuroscience so I didn’t have a design background but I curated a portfolio of my personal work specifically for the company that I wanted to apply for. I heard about the company that I applied to from supporting a fellow creator on their plush campaign and I just kept an eye out for an opening! But LinkedIn and Indeed are great places to look, especially if you are from the US Cali area, there are often jobs available ☺️I hope this helps 💛
How do you bake such large pieces?! I just started playing with polymer clay and use the least favorite sculpy 3 since it’s affordable and I’m no artist lol but i tried to bake something the was maybe 1.5 inches at the thickest an it cracked :( any tips on baking larger pieces would be so appreciated!

Hihi 🥰 Omg!! i was in the same boat, search Maplelegends on google and it will pop up! It’s mac compatible you need to download an app called Crossovwr to make it work but all the instructions are on the website😍!

I am a college student trying to gain confidence to pursue my dream, rather than taking another avenue (with a different degree).
Hi there 🥰 thank you sooo much for being here! I don't have a degree in art, I actually have an MSc so I depended entirely on creating a portfolio that was catered to the toy design job i applied to! I really think that timing and a bit of luck was on my side as well 🥹
I have a lot to say on this topic but to keep it short, I don't think you need an art degree to pursue art, but if you don't see yourself studying anything else, art school is a great place to build your foundations and network. Some downsides I've heard is that a lot of artists burnout after art school and end up not enjoying art as much once they start working. Especially if you want to be an independent artist, I don't think an art degree is necessary but you do have to be diligent with practicing and working on your craft!

I have debating between an art degree to pursue toy design or getting a more “practical” job in the medical field. I personally do think I am gonna try an stick to getting a degree in the art field to pursue a career in toy design. I hope that timing works out for me too!

Proud of you for making that choice 🥰 If you don't see yourself practicing in the medical field at all, then I would definitely pursue an art degree and spend my time honing my skills and portfolio for Toy Design!
