Nice video, I have a Paris and I have been drying it out for the last 2 days. There is still a bit of condensation left. Did you say you put that cloth in the air hole?
Hi Trev, Yes, I used the yellow magic cloth in the video. I just rolled it up from corner to corner to get a small point and poked it though the valve. So far no damage has happened to the valve. Glad you liked our video, Kind regards and keep well David
Thanks David! This worked really well to be honest.. I now have the challenge of getting the condensation from lid. I have managed to get a lot of the water out, now just the residual droplets 💦. Many thanks for your help :)

Hi Conner, Yes, it all went to plan, and we have it set up and enjoying it again this year, really enjoying it. Thanks for your comments, kind regards and keep well David
I have just taken down my Paris hot tub without your video 😂 first of all the Led lights are an absolute nightmare, apparently the previous version were much easier and laid flat. Second of all the outside housing of the plastic inflatable part got really wet inside and slimy for me it is a bit of a nightmare to dry up. Apparently you can use a detergent to clean this so I may give that a go next time. I have saved your video for next time so I can have a good watch. Practically the same technique but with a lot more arguments and swearing 😂 we are lucky to have a hot tap outside so we really scrubbed and rinsed. Fingers crossed it air dries pretty well and no mould. I'm not a fan of the two seperate parts of this tub, others seem to be all one. But it's my first ever hot tub, the lights are pretty when on AND you can get a new pump now that works all year round for this tub to stop the water from freezing and its meant to be very energy efficient and I might invest in one of these. All I will say it's a lot more fun putting it up than taking it down. Thanks for the video!
Hi Sheena, Thanks for watching, saving and commenting on my video. Setup is defiantly more fun than the pack up. In the end, when I am cleaning the never-ending dirt of the foam tiles there is a reason I am not swearing. It's called editing LoL, Clan tile one put in down, pick up next tile clean it and put in on the first tile. £$!" I forging to clean the bottom so the first tile is now dirty again. It's fine I can cut that part of the video after :) The new pumps look to be really good, thinking instead of repeating ours when it gets a fault might gust get the new one. Hope you subscribed as well, All the best and enjoy your Lay-z-spa next year. David
Hi, I have a really small leak of air from the edge of the air valve which I have not been able to repair so far. the valve in my model is not inside a pocket but just on the side of the spa. Any suggestion ?
Hi Flora, How old is it? if it is less than a year it is coved by warranty so contact the seller or BestWay / Lay-z-spa and get a replacement. Is it the seal of the valve as you might be able to get a new seal and for it look for spare parts. If it is the joint between the valve and body of the sap it might be loos try and tyning it up by hand if it is a sorrow connector. The last thing you could try is the Inflatable spa hot tub repair kit amzn.to/3kWXoEp Please let up know how you get on. Kind regards and good luck, David
Hi Natasha, I placed it over a table and had the plug at the bottom so most of of the water would drain done there. Then I put a rag into the plug and place the other end of the rag into a bowl allowing it to suck the water out via capillary action. I don't know how lay-z-spa recommends you do it this is just what I did and it seemed to work ok. I hope this helps Kind regards and keep well David

Good job mate. Very informative. Camera a bit lower on the final section would have helped, but minor criticism on what was a very helpful video made simple.
Hi Guy, Glad you found my video very informative. :) and thanks for your constructive criticism, I have to aggrege with you. At the end I could have framed it better. Just need a camera operator when doing more movement. It looked good when I was filming using the small built in monitor but on editing I thought oh great, well its all done now not much I can do about it. :( One day I will get a proper external monitor and the ability to out put to it whilst recording. You can help me get there buy subscribing to my channel :) All the best and thanks again David
Hi Carol, The simple answer is yes it can damage the plans and grass so its best to get it down the drain using a hose. Is there a pond or river near buy as the chemicals can affect plants and animals there as well! The long answer is..... It should be safe as long as the levels of the chemicals are not high as the water in the hot tub should be at a reasonable level and if you are packing it up the levels shod be lower as you probably have not just put more chemicals into the water just to pack it away. If your water in the tub is green and smelling then it will probably be safe as the chemicals have been used up and no longer being effective. If there the water is crystal clear and a chemical smell then it will kill something. No matter what don't empty in near your prised roses they probably won't like it. Also, you have to think about over waiting for some plants, as this will be a lot of water going in the ground at one point in one time. Please be careful and responsible for disposing of chemicals. Please see the two links for more information they do contradict each other a bit but both are correct. www.cobbittyturf.com.au/will-pool-water-kill-your-lawn/#:~:text=IF%20YOUR%20POOL%20IS%20CHLORINATED&text=However%20as%20the%20chemical%20is,pool%20should%20not%20kill%20it.&text=Undiluted%20chlorine%2C%20on%20the%20other,easily%20damage%20plants%20and%20grass. hottubownerhq.com/can-i-drain-my-hot-tub-on-my-lawn/#:~:text=Chlorine%20and%20bromine%20are%20both,it%20from%20ever%20growing%20back. @BrenTeckITSupport I have indeed and it worked for my first E02 fault found a crimped hole on outlet so un kinked it with a trusty cable ties been good as gold since you kind of remind me of a early hubnut of tubs lol
@@sammygirlie345 Hi, E02 is low flow error. So yes a leek or blockage can cause this. Normally it is caused by lime scale build-up. I had a look at HubNut and I used to have a car like his th-cam.com/video/dZweVa9AtsU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DAi1k90OWiSDE86r LoL but mine was in mint condition and loved it. Untill I moved to London and stopped using it so had to sell it after a few years of neglect. Dam London for its traffic. All the best Dave
Hi Paul, The spa will stay inflated till you defeat it, as shown in this video. What you have to remember is to put the black caps on the water in and outlets before detaching the pump as water will flow straight out otherwise. The air part of the pump is only to blow air into the water after setting it up, as there are too air import ports 1 for setup inflating and deflating, 2 for in-use operation making bubbles. I hope this helps if you have any problems try watching both this video again and the setup video th-cam.com/video/qlmE5DTPkb0/w-d-xo.html I am happy to answer any more questions you might have. Kind regards and keep well David
Hi Dai Hahahaha, yep you will be surprised what people do, like closing a hose in the window to holed it in place not realising it will stop the flow, yes I have seen it. But the idea is most people will need a longer hose run, I was just lucky that we have a drain there and that I had an old hose I was happy to cut a bit off. Kind regards and keep well David
Hi Seddiman, Yes you are right using the pump to deflate the inner liner is faster, you can see how to do it at time stamp 24:00 This does not vacuum the air out. What happens is it blows like an air brush, as air passes over the open valve the direct flow draws the air out of the chamber. So it will not vacuum pack the spa. I may try my shop vac to see if that will work, as it's a wet vac it may help dry it as well. If I do it I will make an update. Wish you all the best and keep well David
Hi there can you advise where I can get the deflation and drying part i didnt seem to get one with my spa and we have alot of condensation inside the main body of the hot tub which i had no idea how to get dry. Also are you able to tell me will that attachment help to completely dry the inside main body ?
Hi Kylie You can get a Lay-Z-Spa Air Deflation T Joint from amzn.to/2WqKQb9 It might help with some of the condensation but it will not dry it out. I used a rag to help suck out the water which did most of the work. I hope this helps Kind regards and keep well David
Hi, would you have any idea why a lay z spa paris airjet system isn't working? Heating, filter and everything else working. It's just every time we press the airjet button it trips the reset/test switch and I can't work out why?
Hi Kazanne, At a guess the air pump is taking too much power or shorting out. Check to make sure nothing is blocking the pips and everything is connected property. Try blowing bubbles when the pump unit is not connected to the spa. If that doesn't work and it's in less then 12 months old send it back. Hope this helps and keep safe David
@@BrenTeckITSupport hey thanks for taking the time to reply. We now think it could be a faulty button the inbuilt rcd in the cable. Unfortunately its out of warranty .
Hi Kazenne, I am not allowed to recommend taking apart the RCD as it will stop it from being water proof and is not safe to do so. But you can get an election to do it for you or have them fit a standard plug and remove the RCD, then use an RCD in the socket to keep you protected. Sorry for the delay in reply. I hate the way TH-cam handles replies to replies. Kind regards and keep safe David
How do you stop the yellow staining mould appearing when it's packed away. 3yrs running we've had to scrub it for days when we get it back out. We always make sure it's completely dry and clean it with antibac before packing it away but it still appears
Hi Tanya, I have only packed it away once so far. But that is the answer clean and dry. Keep it dry after as well. I left ours in a large garden store box as I could not bring it in last year. So it might need some air flow to keep it fresh. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and your comments kind regards. David
Hi Tanya, Antibac is not the best to kill mould, you can try a fungicide or mold and mildew remover. I have seen but not tried these but it may be worth a go: Mixing baking soda with water, about 4 teaspoons or 1 heaping tablespoon (20 mL) to 1 gallon (4 L) of water (Note: many resources recommend using potassium bicarbonate as a substitute for baking soda.). Dishwashing soap, without degreaser or bleach, is a popular ingredient for homemade plant fungicide White vinegar; While this acidic liquid is sometimes recommended as a plant fungicide, spraying vinegar directly on plants is a bad idea since you may kill or damage foliage. While some homemade fungicide recipes include a little vinegar, no scientific studies to date support the idea that vinegar kills plant fungi. Rubbing alcohol ; Like hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol can help kill off the fungus. I hope this helps and please let us know if you try any of them. KInd regards David
Great video, I've just bought mine and will be setting it up this weekend. I notice you don't have any kind of shelter over yours... are the pump units completely rainproof?

Hi, Video is the best I have seen, can you tell me where I can buy the Deflation Valve compatible with Lazy Z Vegas Hot tub and Pump please
Hi Stephen,
You can get the Air Deflation T Joint from amzn.to/3bbhHsS
The hose with valve from amzn.to/3b8obbR
And the pump can be found amzn.to/3rWPM5C
I hope this helps. Why are you needing all this if you don't mind me asking as it should come with it!
If your current pump is not working properly Error code E02 it could be limescale and deeds descaling. If so try ebay.us/jPpnAS I am planning on doing a video on this as some point.
Glad you liked my video and I really appreciate the comments.
Wish you all the best for 2021 and keep well

Hi Du, I bet you have left the deflater attached to the hoes after packing it away from last year. Watch this video th-cam.com/video/fow2Kaj3FRg/w-d-xo.html and make sure your hoes looks like this one and not like in the pack up video.
Hope you subscribed as we have a new video coming out showing how to heat the Lay-Z-Spa for free (must have the new Wi-Fi pump)

Nice video, I have a Paris and I have been drying it out for the last 2 days. There is still a bit of condensation left. Did you say you put that cloth in the air hole?
Hi Trev,
Yes, I used the yellow magic cloth in the video. I just rolled it up from corner to corner to get a small point and poked it though the valve. So far no damage has happened to the valve.
Glad you liked our video, Kind regards and keep well

Thanks David! This worked really well to be honest.. I now have the challenge of getting the condensation from lid. I have managed to get a lot of the water out, now just the residual droplets 💦. Many thanks for your help :)
@@TrevorCross Hi Trev,
Again I used the same trick, just was more tricky to get the cloth in without damaging the valve.

hi Dave great video, just wondering where you purchased the LED rope lights ?
Hi Stephen, The LED rope lights came with the Lay-z-spa Paris 2019 the new one is amzn.to/3mM61Bq
There spare parts list is www.lay-z-spa.co.uk/hot-tub-spare-parts.html?compatible=784

Yes, it all went to plan, and we have it set up and enjoying it again this year, really enjoying it.

Hi Sheena,
Thanks for watching, saving and commenting on my video.
It's fine I can cut that part of the video after :)
The new pumps look to be really good, thinking instead of repeating ours when it gets a fault might gust get the new one.
Hope you subscribed as well,
All the best and enjoy your Lay-z-spa next year.

Hi, I have a really small leak of air from the edge of the air valve which I have not been able to repair so far. the valve in my model is not inside a pocket but just on the side of the spa. Any suggestion ?
Hi Flora,
How old is it? if it is less than a year it is coved by warranty so contact the seller or BestWay / Lay-z-spa and get a replacement.
Is it the seal of the valve as you might be able to get a new seal and for it look for spare parts. Try there's links www.amazon.co.uk/gp/search/ref=as_li_qf_sp_sr_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=brenteck02-21&keywords=lay-z-sap valve&index=aps&camp=1634&creative=6738&linkCode=ur2&linkId=10c90afff970c1221c432b0267fb8fb5 or amzn.to/36XDssB or amzn.to/3y2UZvs
I don't know your model so I can not say if this is possible but worth a try.
If it is the joint between the valve and body of the sap it might be loos try and tyning it up by hand if it is a sorrow connector.
The last thing you could try is the Inflatable spa hot tub repair kit amzn.to/3kWXoEp
Please let up know how you get on.
Kind regards and good luck,

Hi sorry for asking but would you know how to get water out of the inflatable part as some how water has got into mine.. thank you..
Hi Natasha,
I placed it over a table and had the plug at the bottom so most of of the water would drain done there. Then I put a rag into the plug and place the other end of the rag into a bowl allowing it to suck the water out via capillary action.
I don't know how lay-z-spa recommends you do it this is just what I did and it seemed to work ok.
I hope this helps

Good job mate. Very informative. Camera a bit lower on the final section would have helped, but minor criticism on what was a very helpful video made simple.
Hi Guy,
Glad you found my video very informative. You can help me get there buy subscribing to my channel :)

David
would it harm the plants if you drain onto garden
Hi Carol,
The simple answer is yes it can damage the plans and grass so its best to get it down the drain using a hose.

Hi Dave , can you tell me will the spar stay pumped up if you remove the pump unit or will it go down ?
Hi Paul,
The spa will stay inflated till you defeat it, as shown in this video.
I hope this helps if you have any problems try watching both this video again and the setup video th-cam.com/video/qlmE5DTPkb0/w-d-xo.html
I am happy to answer any more questions you might have.

"Make sure you don't get any kinks in the hose" It's half a meter long hahahahahaha
Hi Dai
Hahahaha, yep you will be surprised what people do, like closing a hose in the window to holed it in place not realising it will stop the flow, yes I have seen it.
But the idea is most people will need a longer hose run, I was just lucky that we have a drain there and that I had an old hose I was happy to cut a bit off.

Use the pump to deflate the liner. You attach the special value to go from blow to vacuum.
Hi Seddiman,
Yes you are right using the pump to deflate the inner liner is faster, you can see how to do it at time stamp 24:00
This does not vacuum the air out. What happens is it blows like an air brush, as air passes over the open valve the direct flow draws the air out of the chamber. So it will not vacuum pack the spa. I may try my shop vac to see if that will work, as it's a wet vac it may help dry it as well. If I do it I will make an update.
Wish you all the best and keep well
David
Hi there can you advise where I can get the deflation and drying part i didnt seem to get one with my spa and we have alot of condensation inside the main body of the hot tub which i had no idea how to get dry. Also are you able to tell me will that attachment help to completely dry the inside main body ?
Hi Kylie
You can get a Lay-Z-Spa Air Deflation T Joint from amzn.to/2WqKQb9
It might help with some of the condensation but it will not dry it out.
I used a rag to help suck out the water which did most of the work.
I hope this helps

Hi, would you have any idea why a lay z spa paris airjet system isn't working? Heating, filter and everything else working. It's just every time we press the airjet button it trips the reset/test switch and I can't work out why?
Hi Kazanne,
At a guess the air pump is taking too much power or shorting out.
Check to make sure nothing is blocking the pips and everything is connected property.
Try blowing bubbles when the pump unit is not connected to the spa.
If that doesn't work and it's in less then 12 months old send it back.
Hope this helps and keep safe
David
@@BrenTeckITSupport hey thanks for taking the time to reply. We now think it could be a faulty button the inbuilt rcd in the cable. Unfortunately its out of warranty

Hi Kazenne,
I am not allowed to recommend taking apart the RCD as it will stop it from being water proof and is not safe to do so. But you can get an election to do it for you or have them fit a standard plug and remove the RCD, then use an RCD in the socket to keep you protected.

How do you stop the yellow staining mould appearing when it's packed away. 3yrs running we've had to scrub it for days when we get it back out. We always make sure it's completely dry and clean it with antibac before packing it away but it still appears
Hi Tanya,
I have only packed it away once so far. But that is the answer clean and dry. Keep it dry after as well. I left ours in a large garden store box as I could not bring it in last year. So it might need some air flow to keep it fresh.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for watching and your comments kind regards.
David
Hi Tanya,
Antibac is not the best to kill mould, you can try a fungicide or mold and mildew remover.
I have seen but not tried these but it may be worth a go:
Mixing baking soda with water, about 4 teaspoons or 1 heaping tablespoon (20 mL) to 1 gallon (4 L) of water (Note: many resources recommend using potassium bicarbonate as a substitute for baking soda.). Dishwashing soap, without degreaser or bleach, is a popular ingredient for homemade plant fungicide
White vinegar;
While this acidic liquid is sometimes recommended as a plant fungicide, spraying vinegar directly on plants is a bad idea since you may kill or damage foliage. While some homemade fungicide recipes include a little vinegar, no scientific studies to date support the idea that vinegar kills plant fungi.
Rubbing alcohol
;
Like hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol can help kill off the fungus.
I hope this helps and please let us know if you try any of them.
KInd regards
David
