Really useful set up instructions, thank you. I have a question, is the heater supposed to come on automatically if the temp drops below 35 degrees? Ours was at 26 degrees this morning so had to manually turn the heater on
Apologies for the delay answering. With the heater switched on it activates (red indicator) and deactivates (green indicator) on it's own. So you need to leave the heater switched on overnight. Hope that helps.
Cannot thank you enough for providing these invaluable videos for setting up the lazy spa which I’ve successfully done myself this morning with the help of your fantastic video. I got the Cancun soo spa this morning and had looked over all your step by step videos that I found the other night when looking up information on this as a lot of reviews said the manual was not very helpful that the spa came with. is there a return valve in the st moritz i looked in and cant see anything and yet it was fine last year and water is just pouring out this air intake ,any ideas, ,take care
What type of cabling did you use for the extension lead? Bestway say on the older spas ‘must be mains connected’ is this no longer the case or did you use the same size cabling as the one on your spa. Thank you
As an ex-sparks, I would suggest using an extension that is rated for a full 3kw, with at least 1.25mm flex (preferably 1.5) and keep the lead as short as poss (or no longer than is necessary) and keep it uncoiled. You could make your own lead using good quality plug and trailing socket and using 3 core 2.5mm H07RN-F, which you can get easily online (try TLC Electrical). The larger cable keeps the voltage drop down.
Sorry it's been a while. Check the earthing to the socket you're using. It might be worth calling an electrician because (s)he can use their Mega to test Zs in a few seconds. If you can DIY, check the connections on the back of the socket and if you have a DMM check earth continuity from the earth of another socket or even a radiator pipe.
Hello, great instructional video! Much better than what was provided by the manufacturer. Quick question, do you know if the heating/filtration unit needs to be kept out of the elements, meaning disconnected and put inside during bad weather?
Hi great video thank you, could you tell me please do I need to keep the heating unit running once it has reached 40 degrees or do I turn on as the temp drops ,Mike.
I never had a previous version so am unable to compare. When heating and circulating it's fairly quiet. If the airjets are running it's fairly noisy, both from the pump and the sound of the air in the water. You can't hold a conversation with anyone not in the tub. HTH
Thankyou for posting this video, I followed it yesterday to set up my st mortiz tub, much easier to follow than the instructions that came with the tub😊
Hello there. I just got mine. Did you have any problems using am extension cord? The safety instructions says not to use one but is impossible as we don't have power outlet outdoors yet.
Make sure to get an extension that is about the right length, ie not too long. Also be sure to get one with minimum 1.25mm flex, that's rated for a full 13A and keep it unreeled if it's on a reel. Extensions that are used for 'heavy' items are a fire hazard if left reeled up. Buy a recognised make from a reputable supplier too.
Yes, it can. IIRC it uses Philips screws (not Pozi!), no2 I think and you might need a 4mm flat screwy. Be sure to do up the connections securely when you put it back together. A Roman Nose is a good idea on the outside: amzn.to/2YuSNQH

@@AbouttheHouse0 Hello again guv, do you shock dose after heavy use? Got an issue with my lazy spa cancun...water has a yellowy, green haze to it ....any advice?
@@mtfbwy78 we had a heavy use session not long after getting ours and the water went very hazy. It was friends our lad had round and who knows what they spilt in it so we changed the water. You’re the best! Quick question: can I plug this tub in in the regular outlet or I need some kind of special extra voltage outlet? It’s working with my regular outlet to inflate, but I’m not sure if it’s good for heating
Yes you can! The maximum you can draw via a standard UK plug is 13A. these are designed to be slightly less then this (12A). Use a good quality socket outlet though - MK are the best, actually rated to 13A per outlet (unlike many others).
Glad it helped. Yeah, the instructions are not exactly comprehensive, eh? When it comes time to change your water for the first time, learn from my mistakes, lol th-cam.com/video/OZNBGhSXp0E/w-d-xo.html
Hi, maybe someone can help me. When I try inflating the pool, the pump stops after a couple of seconds with error E002, meaning there is no water in the system. That's obvious, because I'm still trying to inflate the pool! I'm doing something wrong but I don't understand what. Should I close the water inlet/outlet of the pump with caps? I don't remember how I did it the first time
If you're putting it on a deck, a single layer should be sufficient. If you're standing it direct on the ground (eg a paved patio) then use 2 or 3 layers. 255 of the heat goes out the base!!
@@rebeccaelisabethcockram3574 this is where tablets are a big help. It's best to keep the chlorine levels correct at all times. If you know it's not going to be used for a few days, give it a generous dose and turn the set temp down to save power (25-30C) and check & adjust again a few hours before next use (you'll have to turn the temp back up anyway, or else drain some and refill with hot). HTH

Glad it helped. Yeah, the instructions are not exactly comprehensive, eh? When it comes time to change your water for the first time, learn from my mistakes, lol th-cam.com/video/OZNBGhSXp0E/w-d-xo.html
Massive help thank you.
Great video! Excited for ours to arrive :)
Have fun! Ours was delayed thanks to the Suez Affair '21, (as distinct from the Suez Crisis of 1956)❗ Thoroughly enjoying it now though.
I don't remember how I did it the first time
Try pressing the reset button on the side of the pump unit (on some it's on the underside)
Hi there whats your advice on the flooring matt youve used?
If you're putting it on a deck, a single layer should be sufficient. If you're standing it direct on the ground (eg a paved patio) then use 2 or 3 layers. 255 of the heat goes out the base!!
Thaaaank you so much!!! I'm literally following this step by step!!! So much easier thanks to you!!!!
Can we add magnesium to the water and is there an alternative to chlorine?
Why does mine deflate with no water in it please?. It stays up if the water is over the jet hole levels, but when I empty it it just deflates
Great detail thanks much better than instructions 👍
Thank you, some good tips here, wish I’d fond it before I filled our hot tub 😊
Hopefully it'll help for next time you fill up after the first clean 👍
Thank you so much 🥺 Saved me a lot of time!
The instructions aren’t the best so this is so helpful! 🙂
No, they're not, you're right. Welome aboard, Rebecca.
Can I ask please if I am not using the hot tub but don’t want to take it down, Do I just top it up with chlorine etc when I need it? Thank you 😊
@@rebeccaelisabethcockram3574 this is where tablets are a big help. HTH
What do you mean by cross thread ?
Please could you do a video on operating the pump unit, what you do with your spa when it’s up but not in use and the timer. I don’t want much I know! 🤣
I have thought about doing one for the timer, but I'm still getting to grips with it myself. I will though
The video suggestions are appreciated - I'll do one on the pump soon.
Thank you so much, I’ll look forward to watching 😊
Excellent video! Thank you!
