I had a curry dish that I was warned about by the waiter. My friend and I both got one and it was pretty hot, but we had a load of beer in us. My friend tapped out pretty early so I finished what he left. Almost fatal error. In the following morning I was stood up for maybe five minutes when gravity took hold and the chaos starter. I got to the toilet just in time and there I stayed for at least an hour. My arse was retching . Hideous pain.

The spiciest thing I have ever eaten was something I actually made for my spice-loving fiance a few months ago. I really did not mean to make it so spicy. But I made a tomato-based sauce with Hungarian chilis and some Mexican chilis I had leftover, mixed it with Turkish spicy chilis we had gotten from an outdoor market and some normal Spitzpaprika, and then added pasta and spicy Kielbasa. It was great, but almost too much for me to eat. I managed to get through it though. My fiance said it was the best thing I ever made for him.

Hey Guys I was just there 3 weeks ago....In the process of attaining my retirement visa for Thailand....In one month I will be a resident. Too bad we didn't cross paths...I would have bought you guys a LEO. Marks is OK, overpriced IMO...My favorite is the Pad Kra Pao lady at Ruam Sab Market.......She is in the corner of the left side of the market. Excellent and only 55 baht......Side condiments - Deep Fried Basil, Deep Fried Garlic, Fresh Cilantro and Thai DEATH juice (Bird Chili's in Vinegar). Was my morning walk for Breakfast/Lunch.....

Firstly I wanted to say I just ran across your channel (and this vid) because it mentioned going to Phed Mark and I've been a fan and appreciator of his for many years. Your video was great!
So the seeds in peppers are not the actual carriers of capsaicin. They are coated with residual capsaicin oils, yes, but it's the pith (placenta) in the pepper that contains the heat. Basing the perceived heat on the amount of seeds you see in a dish is a very inaccurate indicator of the pain you about to receive 😁

The hottest thing I’ve ever eaten was when I was 12. We were visiting my grandparents who lived in a Jakarta (grandfather worked on an offshore oil rig). One night the cook made chicken satay with peanut sauce. I heard peanut and dove right in before my grandmother could warn me. That stuff lit me UP. There was much iced tea chugged to fight off the burn.

Thai food is definitely one of the 'meaner' kinds of spicy. It doesn't hit you immediately...but boy, when it does it can be devastating😂😂👍
My 'spiciest' experience was on a bus trip from Bangkok to Surrathani. The trip included a meal, and so we stopped at a petrol station of sorts in the middle of the night. We got served a bowl of dried fish and a plate of red and green vegetables along with some rice. The fish was uneatable, so i went for the 'vegetables' and the rice...yup, it wasn't common vegetables, it was chillies...my mouth was still burning a little when we reached Kho Phangan the next day.😂🤦🤷

I have a spicy food suggestion for you when you are back in Germany. It's a brand of ramen called Thai Chef and they have a flavor called Tom Yum Shrimp Extra Scharf. It's got fantastic flavor and will clear your sinuses. It's at Rewe in the normal section, not international.

It was in the OBI parking lot. There is a currywurst stand and I asked for their hottest curry ketchup. I thought this is Germany it won't be spicy but then I just sat in the car and cried and sniffled for 30 minutes. The only other time currwurst kicked my butt was the Berliner Currywurst (Curry & Chili) with 10 levels of pain. Level 8 is basically pepper spray.

I did enjoy the most spicy version at Phed Mark. It's funny the first bite felt crazy hot but then it settled and I was fine to the end. After finishing I had to help a Thai girl to finish her plate as she couldn't deal with the heat. I think the devil level ramen noodles at Karashibi Kikanbo in Tokyo (which Mark Wiens of course has video about) was for me more of a challenge.

My wife hates spicy. It hurts her and ruins the taste of the food for her. We went to Lotus of Siam in Las Vegas, and after waiting an hour for a table my Wife ordered something too hot for her to eat. We think they brought the wrong dish. Oh well. My Daughter and I love spice, although not like food challenge hot, just a good amount of heat that you feel. My spiciest try was probably a raw habanero pepper. Was tasty, hot, and not fun. Haha! Milk, honey, curd, carbonated drinks are better substitute than water to subdue spice. Water actually would make it worse.
