I play a simillar decklist for some time now and it's super fun and also pretty strong deck. Include some fast mana and it gets scarry as hell, with possible wins on turn 2-3. Urza's incubator also works wonders in this.
the big issue I have with zombies is they are INSANELY mana inefficient, their abilities and mana value tend to be VERY high for what they do in a deck that has no ramp in it. This problem has been further compounded upon by the fact that like 90% of all zombie cards are from the early days of magic when commander wasn't the standard, now every other tribe save for zombies and a few others are getting constant updates with new cards that are becoming insanely either mana efficient for their mana value or are just downright ridiculous on what they can do with such low mana cost, meaning if your playing tribal unless you build an infinite engine style deck or your playing with people that are not building hyper competitive cheese decks, your going to get absolutely STOMPED most games for the whole game.....
I built mine around sacrifice, one of my favorites. Dictate of Erabos, kindred discovery, grave pact, and grimgrin for an incredibly painful experience for your opponent. Mikaeus is insane. And I even run witchbane orb and other ways to give me hexproof. Deck is pretty good, very fun
if your doing a zombie graveyard recursion theme, then i would recommend the card "Master of Death" for the surveil 2 and you can return it to your hand at the beginning of your upkeep.
This is a pretty niche use, but I saw the "Cement Shoes" Equipment recently which is very bad, except for Grimgrin Corpse-Born. +3/+3 doesn't untap during untap step. Between a cast for 1 and an equip for 2, he could start his ramp that much faster. Excellent deck tho, always love a good tribal bash.
Gravecrawler! Goo infinite ETB andleaves TB which can kill everyone with a plague belcher or diregraf captain...etc With Wilhelt you can make infinite colored mama as you stated or an infinite amount of decayed zombies at instant speed. I've been trying to find a good balance with this deck. I want it to be mid powered, over run the boar table with zombies. I don't want it to focus on the combos. So far my deck is super inconsistant. Great video. I think it will help me tune my deck
I like Diregraf captain, he gives you a little benefit for having your darmy be disposable. Lord of the Undead, if you find yourself with mana available between turn cycles he's alright, but the way I play I generally don't so I don't find him as useful.
I think it's worth a try with Scarab God, but honestly would expect it's better for Wilhelt just because of the decayed zombies Wilhelt makes. The deck is designed for staying power which Wilhelt just does better.
In my area, a solid 7. It's very reliable as long as you mulligan correctly (not take risky hands, etc), but not overbearing until you turn the gears up a bit in the midgame. I always warn people when discussing power levels, though, that your local meta is likely different from mine, A 7 where I live might be a 6 in an area with super competitive people or an 8 somewhere with less competitive people. Also, this gets hosed by GY hate and exile effects, so if those are rampant in your area you can drop the number a bit. In a void, though, I think 7 is fair.

Nice! Incubators are a bit more affordable now than they used to be so definitely a good inclusion!

I'll have to take a look at that, thanks!
One little nitpick, Geralf doesnt create 2 token copies of the sacrificed zombie. Cleaver Skaab has this effect instead.
Good catch!

That would be really good tech for a Grimgrin voltron deck. I've played against one once and it was nasty.
Great video, thanks a lot!
Glad you liked it!

Glad to help! Wilhelt is definitely hard to keep the balance between combo and aggro, I had to tune a while for my play group.
Thanks for the video! It's so hard to make a zombie deck! may I know your personal opinion on "Diregraf Captain" and "lord of the undead"?
I like Diregraf captain, he gives you a little benefit for having your darmy be disposable. Lord of the Undead, if you find yourself with mana available between turn cycles he's alright, but the way I play I generally don't so I don't find him as useful.
you think that this same decklist can work with scarab god as commander or wilthlt is just better?

any decklist in one easy glance?
Sorry but no, the only list is in the video
What power level would you say this deck is?

Highly recommend Rot Hulk.
I think Rot Hulk would be a great inclusion! Talk about a card needing a reprint though!
