Hey everyone, I'm not dead! I promise! This was recorded back in May/June and should have been up June/July. Long story short - My editors computer died when it was almost completed and we could not fix it or save the data. We also did not have the money to replace and my PC does not do video editing, so we have had to work with a borrowed laptop for a while. We will continue making videos but they will be a bit more restrictive in releases until we can get her a new computer to edit from that works well. We don't have the money to replace it any time soon, but it will happen eventually. If you are one of the kind people who are wondering how you can help because you like the videos, its simple, please like, share, and subscribe. Currently TH-cam does not pay me for these videos, if we can get TH-cam to provide any money then it will hasten our progress to a new computer and more frequent content. To get monetized I need subscribers and watch hours, so please, share with your friends and subscribe! Regarding the deck, this is another of my favorites to play, it might even be my most played deck because every set I change a few cards in it and want to try them out! The prices I gave in the video for cards were from the original recording and are out of date, I did not go back to re-record simply because we really just needed to get this video out and not delay it further. Commander Masters dropped a few card prices and gave some goodies to put into the deck. As always, I hope you enjoy! 2/26/2024 Adding that I now have my decks up on Moxfield, if you want to look at an updated version of this deck or at any of my other decks you can go to www.moxfield.com/users/DMC222
Great deck, I recently built a Henzie deck, but all creatures with Umori, it's also Great fun. Just a note, I'm not sure if you know this based on what you said, but with Chainer you can Blitz creatures from the graveyard too, Henzie doesnt care where you cast them from. Thats why I also love Elder brain in the deck.
For sure, Henzie does not care what zone a card is played from, I've though about having Cunning Rhetoric or even recently Decadent Dragon so I can get some cast from exile creatures, I might not of touched that as well as I should have in the video so good call out. Umori sounds fun, I love enchantments far too much to give them up so I couldn't do it, but it would allow you to always have gas in hand for your deck since you never have to worry about drawing an on creature which is super nice.
Why does steel hellkitw deal with tokens? Wouldn't most tokens have a mana value of 0 and you have to pay atleast 1 to activate it don't you? Please explain, can you activate it for no mana?
@TryphectaOG thanks for reply, I actually saw a card yesterday that said x can't be zero on it's text. Going to start looking at x cost cards more closely now to see if I can abuse this lol
I have a question and a land tech -I want to play The Master, Multiplied with Blitz and wanted to know if at the end of the turn if The Master won’t have to be sacrificed if it was Blitzed. On another note, Grove of The Burnwillows is a nice untapped dual colour land that pays the price of handing out life, so as long as the deck hits hard enough it’s not a big setback for the color fixing.
great question. The original card of The Master would be sacrificed because The Master only protects token creatures. Each Token Copy of The Master will retain this effect that will make it so tokens can't be sacrificed, so you will retain them. Grove of The Burnwillows is a great card for this deck, I don't have a copy in because I don't own a copy, but it is a solid option!
sorry it took a bit to respond, I am not actively running the channel any longer so I don't check in frequently. I find it holds well up to CEDH, it doesn't have the oomph for that. It is highly customizable which is nice, a lot of playing it is just playing it to get used to it, nailing the little tricks, build familiarity, etc. There should be a moxfield link in the description for my most current build, I update that everytime i change cards in the deck which is usually once an expansion or so.
I'll be honest, scratching my head on this one, not sure how having tutors affect whether a deck is Timmy or not. Timmy is a playstyle, to play big splashy things. Looking for those big things isn't against a Timmy time. From wizards themselves "Timmy is what we in R&D call the "power gamer." Timmy likes to win big. He doesn’t want to eke out a last minute victory. Timmy wants to smash his opponents. He likes his cards to be impressive, and he enjoys playing big creatures and big spells." Using Rune-Scarred Demon to get Apex Devastator sounds like the Timmiest thing ever.

No, you can pay 0 if you want to
@TryphectaOG has it right. X can be 0 so it is a freebie kill for most tokens.

I run anger and brawn but didn't even consider running filth. Urborg is a good idea though, I may see if I can squeeze them in

@@CasualEDH Thanks for clearing that up; that makes sense and thanks!
What power level would you say this build is? How does it fare against high powered pods?

Too many tutors for a timmy deck
