This was the film that inspired me to get into radio. At the time I had only the audio portion recorded onto my old reel to reel recorder. I'd listen to it often and dream of becoming a Ham. I soon after did. An original 16mm print would be nice to transfer direct to video, but this is fine. Brings back some great memories.
ARRL used to have these on DVD. They even had commentary by producer W6AQ (SK) on each one. They're out of print but you might find one on eBay. Those would be the best quality available. Or, if enough people bug ARRL they might re-issue the DVDs. It would be nice to have access to pristine versions. I like showing them to Tech License classes to "inspire" the students.
But these days I think the ARRL sucks big time period period I would not give them a fucking time for anything including their lousy subscription to that piece of shit QST magazine they are a disgrace and a total rip off
Like the D104 with a 10da head. KI0MX here. SE Iowa. Also an amateur ventriloquist.........I'm not as good as Jeff Dunham or Terry Fator or many many others. I was also wondering.....is the narrator Lionel Barrymore? No, it was Arthur Godfrey. My error.
