- Why don't the other Z Fighters use the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in Dragon Ball Super? Why do only Goku and Vegeta get to train in the Room of Spirit and Time? Why doesn't Piccolo train in the Time Chamber? Why doesn't Krillin or Tien train in the chamber? It makes more sense for the others to do the best they can without wasting their lives for what is ultimately wasted effort. Krillin the strongest human strength grows at a slower pace than goku in his base. Saiyans have zenkai boosts, they also eat and breaths training, and to top it all of, they can go 50x to 1000's times stronger in and instant.

The you won't catch up excuse is one that I've hated. Even if they're weaker, that doesn't give you an excuse to push them to the background. They did that crap in cell saga even though the gap isn't that big, and had them quit in the 7 year gap and the ones that didn't quit and kept training were still held back. Dbs has gone downhill in writing and character management.
The gap is impossible to close when their base grows faster than the humans as is and the transformations increase it by 50x to 1000s times in an instant.
SaintDragon666 Even if it doesn't close they should all have the potential to be as strong if not stronger than ssj 2. Think of this they were comparable in strength in db to early dbz when they all had the same training and skills. Heck goku lost to those with better training in his base. The only edge goku had was better training methods and teachers. Unless he trains to near death to achieve zenkai boosts.
It's the fact they're being held back, they don't get the things that are guaranteed to make you stronger. In early dbz they all trained with kami for an upcoming threat which were the saiyans. They lost to them because they had lived in ten times gravity and had war experience. Plus look at beerus and other aliens in base forms standing up to goku. Not all of them can be from an extreme warrior race.
And while goku can transform what's stopping the humans or piccolo from developing a multiplier technique or transformation? Tien can grow extra arms and roshi has that buff form and piccolo fused with kami to surpass ssj. So them developing their own brand of super form isn't too far fetched. And if they can't they could always go the ultimate gohan route.

Then isn’t it funny that they needed to be relied on and were vital to winning the ToP, and were ALL given the excuses of “I trained on my off days?” Androids, or Cyborgs if you wanna be that guy, 17 and 18 go from literally weaker than first form Cell to as strong as going toe-to-toe with SSJB Goku. 17 himself being stated by Toriyama to be top five in Universe 7 without the GoDs or the other deities.
@@DCBiscuit I specifically mentioned humans 17 isn't exactly human when they are enhance with unlimited energy and their strength is multiplied by that tech by some unknown amount. As for the rest of the human in the TOP they got their moment but to say they did anything to alter the outcome is capping.
Piccolo is someone that I always thought had the possiblity to kinda keep up cause his base has been shown to grow faster than the saiyans bsae and keep up and surpass super saiyan before.

- What if Trunks failed to prevent Buu awakening

buu wouldn't have done jack shit to frieza. Buu was just about as strong as he was in his saga back in Z and frieza in revival of f was about as strong as, if not more than goku and vegeta. Frieza would have gone final form and blasted buu to oblivion
For the hit thing, same way. Buu wouldn't have been able to touch hit. ssj blue goku and vegeta couldn't even touch hit and goku had to stack kaioken on top of blue in order to read hit and his timeskip.
Trunks would have gone back to the present time and asked goku and vegeta for help against buu. They either choose to redeem buu since he was redeemed in the present timeline or kill him. Then goku and vegeta return to the present and done. Buu saga for the future trunks timeline easily solved

The gravity in the RoSaT is the same as on Kaio's planet. They should all have been able to handle it. Sure, the RoSaT also has insane environmental conditions, but they should have been able to grow accustomed to it in the Androids arc.

idk, other than piccolo I think all of the other z fighters would have died of old age long before reaching goku and vegeta's level. as it stands I consider the series crap, so if you look at it as crap it makes it a lot less painful. you can even have fun laughing at how shit it is.

Back when there were limits on the RoSaT, it would've made sense that some of the other characters didn't want to even bother trying, like Chiaotzu or Yamcha. Tien and Krillin definitely had reason to try, but they probably figured Goku would have had it in the bag anyway. The Tournament of Power is devoid of any reason for why other fighters couldn't give the RoSaT a spin, given that the stakes just couldn't get any higher. If Toei had to stick with the horrible 40-hour deadline (most likely from Toriyama), Gohan and Piccolo should've used it from the get-go, while Goku recruited everyone else. Vegeta went in way too late -- he should've went right after Gohan and Piccolo came out, along with Goku for half a day. There would be 4 hours left then for anyone else. There's no reason to the majority of Super's writing -- it's even worse than Toriyama's impromptu writing of the DB manga, because at least Toriyama could hold together a coherent story (back then, at least).

Vegeta only blew it up twice. Once in the middle of the Black arc when only Goku and himself were involved, and once when there were literally 4 hours left in the recruitment stage. In the manga, he only blew the doors off in the Black arc, but the RoSaT was still intact. Narratively, there's no reason for Vegeta to blow it up. He's not a big baby like he was in the Cell Saga. You don't see him blowing up the Gravity Chamber every day to soothe his insecurities. The RoSaT was free for over 30 hours and no one decided to use it even though they're fighting for their universe-that's stupid writing to the max.

In Universe Survival arc case, U7 wasted to much time trying to get it's 10 members that by the time they do, they're much too close to the Tournament to use the chamber. That and Vegeta was hogging it again

Elvin R The same could apply to goku and vegeta. They have a similar lifespan to humans, but will rapidly age at the end of their life. And if they're so worried about it they could use the dragon balls to regain any youth they lost.
Eh, Namekians live hundreds upon hundreds of years, no excuses for Piccolo, Buu has been alive for millions without any noticeable aging, apparently being immortal, and Frieza is old as dirt too. As for the humans, the only real victims of aging, they're too far gone as is
Bizz buu doesn't care. Piccolo might not be able to be there while Vegeta or Goku is inside at his current level. Or no real reason. But no one other piccolo and Gohan have much reason to go there

That's the overall msg of why others fall behind. Except for Vegeta, his flaw is he only wants to do the chamber or gravity even though Whis has told him it won't take him much further. Goku more than likely noticed this cause he trains most of the time with neither
Yeah but if your entire existence is on the line, you'd think they would have a bit more motivation to get stronger in a hurry, especially the stragglers. Even if they can't compare to Goku and Vegeta, it would only benefit them to get stronger if even only by a little.
Training is gokus only hobby it was his first hobby as a kid therefore even if he does become a God of destruction he will still train he might even put himself to sleep for 500 hundred years just to see who's strong when he wakes up

I think one reason that humans don't use the trainer is that using Chamber would in a sense would shorten their life
Humans last for barely a century spending years in a chamber that makes a day a year, although ki enhanced humans with superhuman capabilities might have extended lives
Saiyans seem to barely age passed their prime
They may not even physically incapable to be elderly
as very few If any Saiyans are known to live that long
Saiyans don't have short life span but short life expectancy due to their battle addicted lifestyle
GT shows human Saiyans age but last probably longer than full humans
Super may change the rules but who knows
But Piccolo being Namekian who barely aged by centuries and in reality around the same age as Gohan wouldn't worry about that and could afford shedding years in the Time Chamber
And Buu being an ageless magical monster can afford it as well, and as you stated can make use of his hibernations in there, they could have even made him sleep in Time Chamber without needing to risk Frieza (but writer's with their PR rating motivated ideas you know )
Also his self healing body and seemingly endless stamina could have him take whatever environment punishment the Chamber offers
In my opinion the In Universe reason why Piccolo and other Z fighters didn't use Chamber is motivation
Buu only recently gained desire to train after Tournament of Power Exhibition fights, before that he was mostly laid back preferring to eat and have fun
Piccolo like other Z-fighters rely too much on their trump cards Vegeta and Goku to save the day, not having enough faith in themselves to really win their own wars
In the Universe 6 Tournament the stakes wasn't really life threatening as it's really the egos of Champa and Beerus on the line, so other Z-Fighters took it easy with training save for Goku and Vegeta protégés of Beerus and Whis
Although piccolo did try retraining Gohan which was why he wasn't in Time Chamber then
In Tournament of Power, it wasn't until the very last minute everyone knows what's at stake as most was being lied to by Goku
The stress of the moment perhaps made people forget an insurance of victory was waiting to be used in form of the Time Chamber
With Goku recruiting, everyone else was too busy coping and organizing to really do last minute training
It would have been efficient for Goku and Elder Kai to use Time Chamber for 10 Earth minutes for him to do ritual and unlock Goku's Mystic form (like they would have with Buu's sleeping)
But the idea never came to their heads, combined the stress of the moment, combined with lack of motivation was the real in universe reason why the Time Chamber wasn't used more
Honestly though, do you really see Goku sitting still for 24 hours while the Elder Kai does the ritual?

What I didn't understand was why they didn't take the Supreme Kai, go into the chamber with him one at a time, and unlock all of their potentials. They thought of the unlock part, but didn't think to use the time chamber in conjunction.

It’s fair to mention that only two people can go into the chamber at a time. Popo mentions this during the cell saga when Vegeta & Trunks and Goku & Gohan take turns.
Goku and vegeta stay in their prime until forever. No other z fighter has that luxury. Can't be wasting 5 extra years of your life without your family or anything
Not even to protect your family? They didn't even have to go a year at a time. Just go in for a month with someone else, and you'll be back two hours later in the real world. Say hi to everyone, and repeat.
Picolo is Stronger thn the regular saiyan form . Vegeta did mentioned that ..also ! Buu can sleep in the time chamber .. awaked in just an hour ... why dont they do that ..
it would have taken 4 hours not 1 hour for Buu to have awoken; and even if Vegeta had not blown up the RoS&T when he exited it there was not enough time left to put Buu in their for the full 4 hours/2 months; there was only 3 hours 45~ minutes left.

Like many people said, it would make too much sense if you ask me there should do even more with the time chamber especially since if they lose they are all dead.
I would say put everybody from the team inside it and make them train with each other try to make Goku to teach the Kaioken to everybody, if he doesn't know how get King Kai to move his ass and get him in the time chamber too so he can personally teach it to everybody.
Also get Beerus and Whis inside it too so they can personally train them even if they only have like 5-10 hours to train inside it it's still quite a lot of times.
Imagine if all of them have the kaioken I say Krillin wouldn't have lost to Frost that easily especially since he would have been trained by Whis himself.

ok so why gohan gotten and trunks don t is very straight forward. lifespans aren't the same. goku and vegeta are able to use it more and not feel the addition of age.
And excuse would be because we don't know how half saiyan age. The half saiyans don't have the will power to train every moment when they are not eating and sleeping. Both goku and vageta are happy to be alone and torcher their body but remember when trunks was in there hes said he could loose his mind? That's likely due to him being alone for the most part while goku was chatting, training, and encouraging gohan.
Goku and Vageta are the only ones who don't really think and behaves like humans. As long as they are training they couldn't care less about other needs besides eating.

You hit the nail on the head. Also Goku never taught anyone else the instant transmission. To me, Goku is really coming off as stingy as the show progresses in the sense that he learns techniques from everyone but seldom shares his most useful techniques with others.

The "zenkai boost" is an ability that is genetically exclusive to Saiyans. While Buu can practice and gain experience and stamina he can not experience the zenkai boost. Same goes for Oob

I was meaning like since in the chamber time passes quicker wouldn't that like make him stronger since he is fighting with gotenks longer then actually was in real time I was thinking maybe it allowed him to improve quicker like it did goku and Gohan when they was getting ready for cell

Why Because of Bad Writing and to purposefully prevent Humans from shining in the story.
The Writers only care about saiyans.
And once in a while about other characters for *MARKETING* purposes.
Roshi should stay in forever. He’s immortal and will never die so the potential is endless.
How would they know about the door disappearing unless someone was left in there to tell about and if so, what person was that?

One day equals one year, you spend 10 days in there and thats 10 years, 10 years that you aged but everyone else has only aged 10 days

because fooliyama rush things with super so he don't care about small stuff. it's a very big mistake. we already at the 3rd arc yet only 100 episode. in Z 3 arc were much much more episode , double of super I think. way too rushing the things tbh. just imagine it if it would be slower as Z were. caulifla wouldn't learned ssj in 2 seconds. also krillin , gohan etc would have times to train. because they got their power in 2 episode maybe? bullshit.

Laughingstock I have a video idea for you: why didn't vegeta and goku tell the other z fighters about how to keep their energy contained and get stronger?
When Goku and Gohan said they wouldn't go back in, it was because they had to much for that session, not in long term. It would be like someone working out all day, and when they finish, they start again.
he only said the chamber was harmful on the body cause they had already spent time in the chamber and wanted to go back in immediately after already having an intense training session before the cell games and thought it was better to rest the mind instead of stressing it, so i think the chamber is fine to use. The writes for super are trying their best to have things not make sense. like when krillin was able to go toe-to-toe with ssjb.... like come on there just somethings that can't be explained except lazy writing. not that I'm hating just stating facts
B Nile Krillin didn't go toe to toe with ssjb, the form is based on perfected ki control. That's the reason he went blue against practically every member he wanted to join the tournament. He was getting an exact reading on their power levels to see if they were strong enough to even join the team, he was not just going blue to make everyone look strong as shit. I would imagine it's because they can still age, and the faster they're out of their prime the worse they'll likely be, Master Roshi being the exception since he can't really age anymore.
Right before the tournament Goku says he wants to get stronger and the elder Kai says he can get stronger if he unlocks his potential but i was thinking the time chamber would have been perfect for that since they had a few hours left and it only takes a few hours.

I was pondering the same thing yesterday. It really annoys me when toriyama forgets concepts he creates and replaces them with more plot holes.
the running gag or trope is that vegeta keeps training and training and goku simplys becomes mor epowerfull for plot convenience. So if Goku can get more powerful then gohan kaulifla piccolo krillen ect can simply just get stronger, they are trying to turn this isnto a running joke. I don't take Super seriously its just punches and kicks with no logical cannon.

Goku isn’t saying that the time chamber in general isn’t helpful and useful and is torture on the body.
Goku is basically explaining the concept of recovery days when working out.
If you bench press every other day and use the in between days for recovery you get stronger.
If you bench press every day you get weaker and can seriously injure yourself.
Most workouts (especially weight lifting) tear and destroy your muscles. You get stronger because when you consume sustenance to repair the muscles and use time to rest and allow the healing process to happen your muscles are built back stronger.
Some workouts you can do consecutive days in a row and your body adapts. Like walking...
Running you can do multiple days in a row (depending on the distance). But any serious running regiment will need you to take about 2 days off each week to recover, or else you’re gonna fuck up your knees, other joints, tear muscles, and generally damage yourself....
But there’s running you can do everyday and get positive results...
So, someone new to working out can go and run a mile five days a week and rest for two and be fine, but if they ran a mile everyday they will fuck their body up.
Someone who’s conditioned to be able to run 3 miles without wing out of breath can actually run a mile a day with no problems cause their body is already strong enough to handle that. Running a mile a day is a joke to them, while it’s torture on someone else’s body.
During the Cell arc, Gohan (the strongest of the warriors who used the time chamber) and Goku (2nd strongest at the time) were too weak to stay inside the chamber much longer without it becoming a detriment to their body and them losing the gains they made inside by overtraining.
Goku in Dragon ball super has god powers.
So, Cell arc Goku is someone who can only withstand running a mile 5 days a week and needs rest, while Super Goku could run 5 miles a day and not even get a workout from it.
Originally we were told 2 people can go in at once (all else being equal). This was broken with Piccolo and the kids went in in Buu saga though...
Yes, Vegeta clearly blows it up for plot reasons to get Buu out, but it's set up early enough to matter.
Piccolo not joining the Saiyans training was really a turning point. It solidified Piccolo as a supporting member and not a game-changing one.

They don't enter for the extreme stress on the body but because it also ages too fast, remember that the body of a saiyan doesn't age until it's 80.

I was watching the trunks special and was thinking why nobody thought to use this method during the android saga smh
I figured that the reason they didn't do it was because they wouldn't know what kind of training to use. Vegeta and goku have the Wis training regiment. Krillin has turtle training with from namek to cell showed not very noticeable change. Now if everyone was taught the training regiment then thrown in Wis time room they would have come out super strong.
I believe that it's do to Goku's and Vegeta's being full saiyans and don't lose their youth as fast from age so that allows them to keep getting stronger then becoming old and week.
i do believe the room has a limit of how long a being can be in the area before it ceases to exist which is 48 hours but you can only be in it for 24 hours at a time at least that was the explination given in the beginning of z
This may have already been addressed but I haven't scrolled down far enough in the comments section. Elder Kai offered to unlock Goku's potential in the same manner that he did for Gohan in the Buu Saga. They concluded that there wasn't enough time since it would take 25 hours and were short on time before the Tournament of Power. Why was the Hyperbolic Time Chamber not used for that purpose? They could have produced a Mystic Goku or potentially unlocked Ultra Instinct. Ultra Instinct was achieved because Goku broke through his shell and sheer will to live and continue the fight according to Whis. There is a circumstantial variance to achieving Ultra Instinct but it is plausible that Goku could achieve it via Elder Kai as he could potentially unlock it. The same goes for unlocking Vegeta's higher form of SSJB or beyond.
If Im not mistaken it has two reasons. 1 the chamber only has enough food for 2 people to survive for one earth day or one chamber year. Other than that I thought in the older seasons the chamber was only able to be used so many times by a single person without effecting their mind and causing insanity just like why originally you had to have at least one person go in with you and you cant be in there more than one chamber year at a time.

One of the things that bothers me a lot is that it is said in the anime that there was a limit to how long a person can go in the time chamber and then they can't anymore because the door will close and lock them in there forever. Vegeta has gone in the time chamber twice in z and then goes in super again i think twice. I can see that a way to escape is to do the dimension ripping that buu and gotenks did to escape, but vegeta is shown just to blow himself out. But physically that is hard to imagine because even if he destroys the space within the room of spirit and time, he should still be stuck inside there and not be able to just blow himself out of the chamber. That would be the equivalent of being stuck in a rice cooker or bottle via the evil containment wave but just blast your way out easily. I don't think the developers of dragon ball super forgot about the fact that there was a limit to the hyperbolic time chamber and the door should close.
But according to manga, it is randomly rebuilt to change the original rules conveniently. Why the hell did they not do that all the time when earth was threatened? Do they know how quickly gohan could have caught up because of his lack of training in 7 years? And yes, even now in the tournament of power, a lot of the fighters could just go and use the room to train but they don't which is dumb. It's more dumb that they can write out that goku and vegeta train for 3 years after fighting golden frieza, but doesnt seem to get stronger because they reached their limit, yet vegeta goes into hyperbolic time chamber after fighting goku black and becomes significantly stronger. logic
i think super used a retcon in saying the hyperBolic time chamber reacts to the leaking ki energy now now Goku and Vegeta use god ki the room does not react to the ki from them using the room as badly as it did before hence it became easier to use for our super demigod Saiyans who have longer life expectancies than everyone they care about

You are absolutely right Goku could at least teach all the Side characters instant transmission. That could have gave everybody a huge advantage. Like somebody could have grabbed "Universe 11" main characters and instant transmission him out of the ring with themselves. Iike you said it's because of the plot and writing.
The Chamber of Spirit and TIme is kind of a warp-dimension created by Earth Kami, where time flow is distorted.
But just as Earth's Dragon Balls have their limitation so have the Chamber.
Basically it cannot contain force higher than it's creators, proof of which is how many times it was destroyed by sheer brute force or display of power.
Also like Goku said, it's very straining on the body (and mind, spending a year in isolation in endless white plain), thus weaker Z fighters are not allowed to enter by the Kami.
The only reason both Goku and Vegeta can enter it and actually use it is due to their type of training - they did not train to increase their "power", they trained to control it.
Basically they were learning to control their Ki in base form, thus the chamber could sustain it.
Let Buu inside and it's gone in a seconds.
Also, most of the Z fighters have their own respective storylines that pushes them outside the way of fighting, and having Goku (and Vegeta trying to always be better) dealing with each problem makes them to focus on it instead of training.
In theory the characters who benefit the most are Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo. Saiyans age much slower than humans due and can live at least twice as long, which is why Goku hasn't aged really since the beginning of Z. As bad as most find GT they did a good job talking about that in the first few episodes. Even if Krillin could use the time chamber for 2 years he'd lose two years of his life, over time as they keep using the time chamber they would all begin to show signs of age, and with age comes a decrease in strength speed and vitality.

i think in the tournament of power arc, goku and vegeta used all the time they had until the tournament started. and only 2 people can be inside at once.
