I have one of these, so the 10-speed automatic it does like a 0 to 60 and 4.8 seconds, the manual doesn't like 5.1 seconds. They are definitely quick and it's sometimes not really understood how fast they are if you don't spend enough time with it. I think to remember is that it's torque figure is lower than its horsepower figure. It's like 40 less horsepower than a RT Challenger or charger, but weighs almost a 1000 lb less with this v6. This V6 Camaro is faster than a 5.7 l hemi Challenger. What makes an interesting is the fact that it's a dual overhead cam, Quad cam phasers and high compression. If you want to compare it to a V8 it's definitely comparable to the 5.7 l challengers and chargers or the generation one coyote mustangs.
You can find used manual 5th gen V6's for under 10k right now (same with v6 mustangs btw), near 100k miles, but with some TLC they oughtta last 50-100k more miles pretty easily long as you keep up with basic maintenance. (beware of clutch replacements, they tend to need replacing near the 100k mark, also timing chains near 125-175 usually, besides that tho nothing too major to fear with an upper millage Camaro) So if your looking for a super low monthly payment for a few years or rather buy outright, these are really great fun entry level sport cars. Do not get the automatic, you will enjoy it so much more in manual. They are beautiful looking cars that still kick out over 300+HP! Gotta have love for these!
I just bought a 2012 RS manual. I wanted a V8 for sure, but my budget really limited me at the moment and I needed a new car asap Id like. In 5 years, maybe things will be better and I can grow up to a V8. Till then, shes a super cool n fun car regardless. No regrets... till big bro pulls next to me n bullies me...
IMO, what killed the Camaro was the seating position and line of sight looking out. Very poor like sitting in a tank. GM never fixed it. In the Mustang, you sit up with much better view. Also, the Mustang is popular in Europe that has probably saved it plus the many specialty Mustangs.
I hear you. However the Alpha platform Gen6 Camaro equipped with a V8 was always a sports car with a muscle car engine. I'm a fan of the Mustang, Camaro and Challenger. Out of the three the Challenger is the true muscle car.
Well said! I never classified my late 6th gen Camaros as muscle cars even with a V8. They are sports cars in my eyes same thing with my twin's 7th gen Mustang.

It’s a shame that it was discontinued.
Yep right when they perfected the Camaro they killed it off🙁

You should include acceleration tests, kind of bland without without
That V6 sounds good 👍🏾
Thanks!

Chevy needs to build more manual transmission love the interior in the Chevy Camaro
It's nice that they offer the V6 with a manual. For customers who want to have fun but may not want the big V8
Not bad for the price 45K gets you a lot here imo
Ben it's me Kima YourStarFanVolume10 it's been awhile. I really like the new Camero It's a true Chevrolet Muscle Car.😊
It actually sounds pretty good
I think Joe Raiti might go "on throttle" in it.
I'd take a v6 Camaro any day
Compared wtih : Ford Mustang, Dodge Challenger, Bentley Continental, Rolls Royce Wraith & Mercedes AMG S Class Coupe
If you cant manage a v8 power but u still want a peppy good looking sport car
Speaking of bad birds, Bill of Curious Cars thinks birds are always waiting for the opportunity to peck his eyes out. 😅
Nice review great buck for the dollars last of its kind
It looks hot out there in Utah.
Got laughed at for having a V6, bought a Chiron to make me feel better.
Good afternoon.
At least the dashboard isn’t a iPad.
Cheaper on gas😂 great for burglary deterrent😊 just came back for 2025 line up and z1 as well!

It’s not a muscle car even though it’s more powerful than some OG muscle cars. The Camaro is a sports coupe or a GT car.
I'm keeping my 2011 Camaro SS
Late 6th gen and 1st gen are the best looking Camaros fs
This guy doesn't even clean the birdshit off before the review? Its a Panther collector edition he does not even acknowledge. Horrible review.
You didn't do your homework Ben. This 24 3Lt deserves a lot more respect. You're getting lazy.

DarkHorse🐎
Tooooo expensive. Cannot pass the 36K for v6
45k for a V6 with horrible blind spots…no thanks
Lotta money for a plastic bathtub
Can't be a muscle car at all.
Sry but v6 is not a real muscla car 😂

It was never really supposed to be.It was designed to be a sports car with a V6 for fuel economy.Don't you get it.
Then you don't even know how to spell properly.
