I must be the only level 60 with a platinum who has multitudes of Shalebacks...I'm a tortoise owner and can NOT resist Shaleback babies.

Jaguars can also be found in the jungles. If you look on your map and find the island in the newbie river that has the bean shaped pond on it, go north and east and look for the little heart shaped spot of tan in the middle of a bunch of green. Baby jaguars/leopards (spotted cats) can be found in that region.
"Some people think panthers are leopards; I don;t know why." This is because technically speaking, in RL, a panther is a leopard/jaguar that has a rare dark pigment. If you look close, you can still see their spots. Interestingly, panthers in Conan Exiles have these spots! Which IMHO, is really cool that Funcom kept that realism to them!

Panther is a versatile word that can refer to different leopards, jaguars, or mountain lions. It can refer to a melanistic or black cat.
@@WillieG916 if im not mistaken, panther is the describtor for all the big cats, everything bigger than a cougar. The melanistic ones are thus called black panthers.
A black panther is the melanistic color variant of the leopard (Panthera pardus) and the jaguar (Panthera onca). Black panthers of both species have excess black pigments, but their typical rosettes are also present. They have been documented mostly in tropical forests, with black leopards in Kenya, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, and Java, and black jaguars of the Americas in Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, and Paraguay. Melanism is caused by a recessive allele in the leopard, and by a dominant allele in the jaguar.
I found bear cubs on the island in the middle of the lake

Everything is constantly in motion so this is at best a very rough guess of locations for a given patch. I like to pick up my baby hyenas just north and east of the northern junction in the noob river. That's North and East of the Hand of the Maker.

There were always a ton of bear cubs around Telith Island but I haven't check since the patch. You should have also mentioned you need to hatch the eggs in a compost pit before you can put them in a pen to grow them

They are still there, I got 4 in seconds, they are all over. Several babies in midnight Grove dungeon as well
There are also 2 to 3 bear cups located at Riversend ;)

Panthers are the dchungel version of Jaguars! If you look close you can see the dots on a panther, their fur is NOT unicolor, they have dots all over them. Being all bright brown to yellow might not help in the dark of a dchungel. ;)

I probably shouldn't tell my secrets, but I found bear cubs at Riversend, just south of that teardrop lake north of Shattered Springs. That may be because their latest update changed where a lot of animals spawn to make room for the horses.
Another of my secrets for catching high level pets like white wolves and panthers is to build a raised platform of 4 or 9 foundation blocks, put a torch, a bedroll, and a wooden chest there. The beasties can't climb up on the platform to get you. It helps if you bring a tier 3 fighter to follow you and give her a flawless steel two-handed sword (it's high level, but not rare or expensive if your thrall dies and you lose it). Let your thrall fight the beasties while you run around and collect the cubs. Drop them in your chest every time you catch one or two 'cuz you're gonna die lots of times doing this, lol. If (when) you die, you just respawn on your platform and try again.

There's a frost wolf Cub that sometimes spawns just north of Freya's hovel, next to where the adult one is. It can be scared off when the adult attacks.

Can find bear cubs at 8H at the lake there, go on the island of the lake and there should be a few cubs

Black Panthers are a color morph of the Jaguar. For some reason we’ve adopted a different label but they’re the same cat. Usually. The leopard also has a black color morph that is sometimes confused with the black jaguar.

look along the river that goes away from Telith's island you can find 2 to 4 wolf cubs plus the island itself has 3 to 4 bear cubs have fun.
Dont know if anyone mentioned this, or if it was a new update. I just started playing and was able to get a baby crock from a tier 1 pen.
Yeah this has been changed. All animals fit in all Pens. Cheers!
I assume they added the other ones later: undead managerie from the Witch Doctor feat from visiting the Summoning Place, chance for scorpions from the Scorpion Queen which is in the Jawbone silver mine, and chance for a Frost Giant of all things from the Daughter of Ymir that can spawn near New Asgar. Oh, and elephants, which are chillin' in the same place as Swagger Rock and the Spillway. Horses can be a rare find too, with some on the big island at K5.
They added a ton of these much later in the game. This video is out of date for sure. Cheers!
3 bear cubs can be found at "Teliths Island" aka baby island and alittle southwest of that are wolf pups. 3 baby boars spawn just off the cliff south of "The Crevice" theres a path leading from the river to them.

Bear Cubs seem to be in easy supply at Teliths Island/Sanctuary Ruins area. Every time I've been over there since patch, I've seen at least 3 cubs.

Baby tigers and rhino calfs are north of the Oasis in the Savannah biome.

Right next to pride rock from the lion king. That rock formation looks just like the one in the movie.
You can find bear Cubs in the western area of the highlands where everything is dark and gloomy, where the mounds of the dead is located.I’ve found bear Cubs along the border between the highlands and the desert on the western side of the highlands

There's sabertooth kittens and wolf cubs in frostneedle forest south of the temple of frost. The sabertooth kittens are a pain to get though because the forest is full of mammoths and packs of sabertooths, you can do it solo but I'd recommend going in a group or at least laying a bed roll nearby.

I find Sabretooth kittens up the hill from the dam lake, if you cross the lake from that Nord Encampment just northeast of the dam, the head a little left and up the hill to get to the ice fields just south of the volcanic path. You will be east of the Ice Chasm. When you come up through the rocky pass, on the left you can find kittens. Or hang a left there, jump into the ice chasm and you will land right on two of them and their mama. But wear warm clothing!!

That's because a panther can be both a leopard or jaguars, because The Panther is a large member of the Big Cat family, native to Asia, Africa and the Americas. The Panther is not a distinct species itself but is the general name used to refer to any black coloured feline of the Big Cat family, most notably Leopards and Jaguars.

Jaguars ARE panthers. all big cats are part of the panthera Genus. the problem is people usually refer to big black cats as panthers even though they could be black jaguars or black leopards. Lions, Tigers, Jaguars, Leopards and Snow Leopards are all Panthers

Great that there are people who actually know this stuff. I used to be obsessed with big cats (especially tigers) and seeing people referring to melanistic leopards/jaguars as 'black panthers' can get frustrating.

I live in the desert, what should I take with me to go get a wolf pup? Bc that’s a decent bit away from my base
They way 50 lbs. so you need to make sure you can carry them. Otherwise I always carry food/water, bedroll in case of death I do not have to run back. and i bring enough stone and wood to make a foundation 4 walls and a ceiling in case of a sand storm :) Cheers!
Sand reaper pet can be found in the sunken city from the bosses cave, and you can get it without having to fight anything

If you go straight right after going up the hole from the Savannah you will find 4-5 Cubs near the river at "the wall"

I am playing in a PVE server and i need help killing some three skull creatures like the skeleton thing in deathwisper ruins and the giant snake near the man who calls himself the warmaker. Can pets help me kill them? If so which pet would be the best? Everyone says the sand queen thingy is the best but it looks so bad so i want a bear, sabretooth, direwolf or something cute like that. Which one should i pick?
Thralls are actually better than pets currently, since you can give them armor. Probably the best Tanking pet that still does some good damage is a greater bear. Using honey in the animal pen gives you the best chance of getting a greater bear without the use of shadebloom. Cheers!

He is correct, the tier system for the pens is broken. I tamed 2 bears in a tier 1 pen and 1 came out greater with spiced honey
@@VaniverseGaming I raised two rhino, one shaleback and two bears at the same time in single tier one pen. Also one rhino came out as a unique version. Pen system is just broken
I got the huge rhino tier 1 pen but im on ps4
The devs posted that this is not a glitch, but a balancing feature which allows low level players to get t2 and t3 pets, but usually only the base version of the pets in question. The multiplier is supposed to be very low in the t1 pen, but not zero.
Isn't the alligator tere 1? I have a pet gator and used a tere 1 pet building to get it.
People have said that you can put any tier animal in any tier pen now. When I made this video that was not the case. Gators wee tier 2. Cheers!

Just a side note:
One animal I noticed not listed is the elephant. You can find them in the Sahara region where you find the tigers and rhinos

I tamed a rhino in a tier 1 pen. There doesn't seem to be any tier based pet taming restriction thing in my game. It was the only pen I'd unlocked at the time.

Bear cubs can be located near rivers end. There is a section behind the shore, where it starts to go into the drier, rocky area that transitioned into desert. IN the areas between the dry area and the rivers is a spot where there are always bears; the cubs and adults can both be found there.

Not sure if you'll see this, but Dagon (as in DEscent of Dagon) is pronounced Dah-gone or sometimes Day-gone

you know what would be great, if we had access to a editable copy of the map to ping where we found other pets, cause i found the crock in the same exact place but the, but the striped hyena i found along the northern side of the river going east, but i'm weird and i go weird places for weird reasons, but i basically found all these pets in not at all the same locations even remotely except the vendors.. wish i found baby version of those just out in the wild oh but not the panthur.
hey I have striped hyenas but I can't tame them in the level 1 cage. do you need lol 2 tamer?

@steven white You can tame any level animal in any pen now. You need to make sure you have the correct food though or it will not work. Hyena's like raw feral flesh. Cheers!

The highlands aren't the Frozen north lol.. all of the snow area is the frozen north
The Frozen North expansion includes the highlands. I have been playing for so long that is how I tell the difference. Cheers!

What can you do with all these animals ?
They are very efficient at guarding your base against enemies. You can also have one follow you and fight for you as well as carry stuff that you cannot hold. Cheers!
