Something I don't think I've seen you mention anywhere before is that you can give your thrall a truncheon and they have a much better time knocking out NPCs. I have a Captain Ioushuwa next to the galleon that I bring in there and he knocks everyone out in a couple blows apiece.

Oo nice, imma try it. I have a bad habit of running into T4's while I have a thrall with me, then my thrall kills my find before I can capture. Bad times...
Great vid but unfortunately a recent patch has now changed almost every spawn location you could guarantee a T3, you will now get T1, T2 or T3, with T3 being a lesser chance. Many of the good spots for T4's now spawn, T1 - T4 Hekkr and Gallo still spawn frequently at the Blackhand Galleon at the location shown in the vid I have also found that Varkin Fleetfoot (Male T4 Dancer) a perma-spawn at the Pagoda of Boundless Lusts ( I captured 4 in a row and killed another 5+), Also have caught 4 x Cruidh the Crusher in the main camp outside the desert Blackhand Galleon ( had 2 spawn simultaneously) in one day. Lian and Freya are still perma spawns, as are Blackhand Captain/Capt Ioushuwa at the desert Blackhand Galleon and Captain at Sepermeru
Armourers: Desert pirate ship (Shendelzare, Joka Ironfist, Irniz of the Furnace) and Pagoda of Boundless Lusts (Fia) pops up often. Blacksmiths: Desert pirate ship and Sepermeru is where I have had the most luck. Also in the volcano area is a perma-spawn (Secas the Smith) in an isolated area to one side of the temple area.

New player on Solo. I’ve been farming the second location shown and so far have gotten two named Taskmasters, two named dancers, named blacksmith. T3 Carpenter, T3 Smith, T3 tanner.
i like the summoning place. there's always one or two t4s. ive gotten fighters (canibal brutes), an alchemist (witch doctor), and a dancer. there was also a yog arch, but i may have killed him... oops
The summoning place. Right at the altar. A Darfari Witch Doctor can spawn here (and he spawns VERY often) which is a tier 4 alchemist he shares the spawn with the Yog priests though but ive also had archpriests spawn there :) The enemies are also VERY weak which makes grinding this place very easy! Ive also got a tier 4 armorer from this place, B’naru Heavyhands. There are some named tier 4 fighters here called Cannibal brutus (on the left and right elevated platforms) but their hp pool when turned into thralls isent that high. I think only 2k or so. Happy hunting for those thralls! :)
Thank you for posting. The thing I will mention is not all T4 NPCs are created equal. The ones in the camp you mentioned are not as strong as the Tier 4 up north and in the volcano, but this is still a nice spot to farm. Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming for combat the Dafari are indeed pretty terrible for their thralls. To my knowledge though their artisans are just as good as other ones. Each specialist (armorer, blacksmith etc) always has a set few unique sets that they can make :) The one at the summoning place can make a set very popular for PVP for instance but its kinda meh for anything else...
the witch doctor is a T4-Purge, a class above T4 because he gives you the option to create spices, black and white colour and if you place him at the brewing stand he can also craft unique beverages. Best alchemist in the entire game.
One of my favorite areas in the Frozen North is Mounds of the dead. there is a building with a guaranteed T4 taskmaster, Gothrad the Oathbreaker, and the Cimmerian Berserkers are plentiful, and are great fighter thralls, which are T4 thralls. There are also at least two spots that have a chance of spawning the T4 fighter Dalinsia Snowhunter, and while I've not found her yet, I played on a PvE server for a while with a guy who had multiples of her. His claim is that she can (given a good stat roll) be the strongest and highest health thrall in the game (pre the Isle of Siptah). Keep in mind the Cimmerian Berserkers are great sword users who love to break your shielded stance, and hit HARD, so they are a decent fight, but once you have one, they are great companion thralls, and if you give them a steel truncheon, they will dominate most NPCs that can be knocked out fairly easily. My trick is to climb on a rock where they can't reach me, and use blunted arrows for the first one or two, and then once I have one following me, just letting them do the fighting. They also come with a Starmetal great sword once tamed, so it's easy to get those out of the area too. Stick to the water at the base of the mounds and farm them with little issue from other thralls, and once you have Gothrad the Oathbreaker on your wheel of pain, it goes much quicker.
Lol uve had that experience b4 with lower tiers I know their aggro is really rangie so I try to keep them off the ground and give them a bow so I dont lose sight of them.
I usually build my starter base to the west of Set City where all the rhinos and scorpions wander around. For one, you need rhino hide to made halfway decent starter armor and there's lots of resources lying around. Plus, NPCs often come out of the city and wander around alone for a while before going back in.
Sinners Refuge in one of the 2019 updates, Now spawns a T4 Alchemist. Has a T4 that will always spawn with the same name. His profession is always random. He;s spawned as a slaver, Alchemist, priest, fighter, blacksmith, (ect possibly? These are the only ones i seen him spawn as. Small chance he spawns as a female) Note: you can mine brimstone in there if you need it. its a low lvl zone u can farm at lvl 15 easy with stone weapons.
Thank you for this helpful video. I have a few questions in this regard: Do you need a taskmaster to break a unique thrall? And if so which level of the taskmaster is required? Is it required to have the highest tier wheel of pain? Are unique thralls always tier 4? What about friendly 'talkative' NPCs (like Conan but vulnerable)?
You do not need a taskmaster to break a Tier 4 thrall. You can use any tier of Wheels. The higher tier Wheels just allow more thralls on them at one time. Yes, Unique thralls are always considered Tier 4. No you cannot break talkative thralls on your wheel, they are for the story quests. Cheers!
A new location that nets a lot of Exiled faction named individuals is Sinner's Refuge, not far from the Giant Crocodile near the newbie river. They're a subfaction of sorts called the Chosen of Asura, but standard named individuals can spawn in addition to the Asura spawn. I believe they cover all jobs aside from Taskmaster. If you kill them though they can drop the Asura gear, which grants a big Survival bonus for boosting resource farming. Alternating between there and the Summoning Place to scout for a Witch Doctor nets a lot of tier 3's and 4's.
Newby here: Can you just farm Nubatu's? just have like 5 of them in your base? are named thralls one per account or something? Do they take longer to respawn? Also are there reasons to have more than one top tier blacksmith, carpenter, etc? Do you want different races of thralls of every given class?
Hey Jonathon, You can farm as many Nbatu's as you want. The re spawn rate is usually about 30 mins on official servers. There is not limit to how many you can have. Yes, different top Tier thrall provide access to different Flawless and Exceptional weapons and armor. Cheers!
To me my favorite spot to get thralls is in the Highlands or as you call it the Frozen North. Its a little place called Mounds of the Dead. There's always a guaranteed named person there. I mainly get named bearers, but what I go for are the Cimmerian Berserkers. To me, they are the best thralls in the game.
D'uneman the Dragoon has a 100% spawn rate in the Den, also. He's an archer. You didn't go near his location in this guide however, he's on the west side on a kinda walkway/bridge. Named dancers, seen Ionna the Seductress a few times, can also spawn with the 2 dancers and carpenter.
I just start playing this game 3 day ago, stumble on your channel, very helpful tips, thank a bunch. However i just have a noob question I play a single/ co op mode and i want to spawn in some item by using this command EnableCheats Spawnitem 111011 200 but it doesn't work, did i do something wrong there or do i have to use the admin panel to spawn item ( i don't really want to use the admin panel if i don't have too, because if i use the admin panel, i may end up over use it therefore make the game like child play )
What is the best way to approach the black galleon (where & from which direction) when trying not to aggro & kill the whole ship? Can you climb up, instead of kicking in the front door and if so, is there a good place to do this that you can share? Also, one thing I noticed when i went to Sepemaru city is the last group of NPCs you showed were hostile when I went there... Don't know if this was a bug or not, but I had made no aggressive actions and was just checking out the city when I got near the camp just to the right of where Conan is they attacked & killed me... Granted, I wasn't expecting it since everyone else was chill and I got jumped by all of them at once. Is this normal? Is this group always hostile? I also noticed that I was able to walk all around the slave market and no one attacked until all of a sudden they all attacked after I had been looking around in plain sight for 20-30 seconds already. To summarize; is everyone in Sepemaru and immediate area supposed to be non-hostile or are there certain areas you need to be wary of?
I am not 100% sure. There are certain areas where they will attack you. Some are KOS, and some only attack if you like loot a chest or do something like that I believe. Knowing Funcom they are ll bugs. lol. As for the Black Galleon, coming from the south plateau is the safest bet. there are only a few guards. you will need to navigate a bit to get there. I think you may also need to construct some stairs or an elevator to get up and down with a thrall in tow, unless you build your thrall breaking base on the platform. Cheers!
Zigurat Lyn there is an admin mode you can use to put your character in god mode. You must be in single player or have admin privileges on the server. In single player hit the tilde key to bring up the console and type makemeadmin and it'll put you in admin mode. From there hit escape and select admin and it'll bring up the interface you see people using in vids. To turn it off go back to the console and type makemenormal and it turns it off. Best not to mess with it; the temptation to cheat is always present and can ruin your game if you use it a lot. It is helpful though when you want to test something or to adjust server settings. I play by myself mostly, so I adjust some of the harvesting and crafting rates to make the most of the limited time I have to play. I'm basically using single player to learn the game before joining a PVE or PVE-P game. Good luck...
Do you get the achievement for a unique thrall also from a tier 4 worker? So anything else than fighter and archer since you can't place them on the ground
Haha, I knew it!!!! see it works! But in all seriousness, I was a noob at making TH-cam videos and didn't realize the etiquette. None if my new videos have that intro anymore. Please forgive me and LIKE and SUBSCRIBE! lol Cheers!
Hey man love the video, very informative, I’m a relatively new player who’s just getting into the thrall part of the game. I’ve heard some sort of thrall is needed to make exceptional or flawless items, is that true? Also how do I knock out the guy without everyone gets agro’d on me? Do I just kill all the other guys THEN get the guy I want or?
You are correct. A thrall of third tier is required to make flawless armor. You can try and knock them all out or kill the other and only knock out the one you want. Using cripple effects on the one you do not want to kill will make him slower and split him from the pack. Cheers!
Not sure if your already tracking but if you bring a decent thrall with a club and shield it can knock people out while you focus on killing the thralls you dont want
If you want to get a thrall from one of the most protected parts of the camp, do you have to kill all the other thralls in your way? Can you take more than one thrall per raid?
Most likely they will attack you and you will need to kill them. Or you can knock them all out and pick the one you want to take with you. You can only pull 1 thrall with a binding at a time. However if you have 4 people with bindings you can pull 4 thralls. However, make sure you have a wheel of pain big enough to break 4 at a time. This would be the regular wheel of pain. a lesser wheel of pain can only do one. However if you had 4 lesser wheels of pain that works too. Cheers!
Way late...but...I kite thralls if they are in a tight space. I'll pull them until I lose the joiners, and then find a nice open space I can beat them up in. ...it's important to have a nice 360 view to see yourself at different angles beating up thralls imo.
Wonderful series of vids! I was mildly surprised when all my bases were in similar locations to your recommendations before watching the video! How’s your experience so far with the new patch?
Legitimate question: is this video still relevant at current patch? I’m on Xbox and just wondering if they have changed anything with regards to the thrall locations/spawn rates/levels etc. Awesome video though!
I would say a lot has changed regarding location and strength of the Thralls. I am working on updating my videos to try and keep them relevant. Cheers!
T3 armors let you make Flawless and Exceptional items, but I believe only Tier 4 give you unique recipes. Maybe someone else can comment on this, as it may have changed. Cheers!
Artisans refer to the tanner, carpenter, blacksmith, armorer, smelter. The Artisan Table can take any one of these thralls. These types of thralls are at pretty much every camp around the map and the range from level 1- Level 4. The Level 4's have unique names. Cheers!
Wish i can easily climb the ladder of taskmaster (break a t1 to break a t2 to break a t3 ect) but I'm ironically struggling to find t1 and t2 ones haha
My thing is how you get to knock them out. Everytime I encounter a top tier thrall they die before I can knock them out. Only low tier 1 thralls get KO easy.
I’m now playing the game for free on PS4, I logged off and went to sleep in my house and I was killed and the server I’m on said it was after the time that they could do damage to my building. Does anybody know how they got in to kill me?
Thrall farming wouldn't be as frustrating if you're in a viral server with lots of people. Chances are, you WILL find a thrall that you need from raiding or clan, but sadly servers are all dead and I have to farm everything I need :/
Yeah, you can get Dalinsia Snowhunter pretty much every time you run in there, she seems to spawn every minute. Mounds of the Dead is also the first place I ever got a T4 alchemist (Darmok the Experimenter). And it's relatively easy to pinpoint his location, and avoid most of the other thralls, by climbing up the cliff beside his hut. You can safely drag thralls off the cliff without killing yourself (or the captured thrall). The only other T4 alchemist I've ever had was the one in the volcano, so Mounds of the Dead is easier to get to early on..
All I find on Black Galeon are t1 - t2 thralls with a very rare t3 once every few runs, even on the Galeon itself. I assume the location has been nerfed since this video :(
They have changed where named thralls spawn and made them more static. Technically the Black galleon is no longer in the higher level area, so probably made the level of thralls match the area. Cheers!
I usually find one at The Summoning Place, in the desert going from G5 into H5, towards the middle of that vertical line on the map (it will show up as the red eye symbol on the map). It is a good size complex, but if you go up the stairs to the right from where the Yog Priest is, there is generally a rank I or II Alchemist there (and up to a III Taskmaster if needed). It's holding me over until I can get me a rank 3 Alchie.
There is a tier 3 Alchemist that spawns right in front of the Dregs dungeon stairs. He is on the left and is the last guy before you get to the stairs. Can be a 1, 2, or 3 alchemist. You can tell by what he or she is wearing. Cheers!

I'm basically using single player to learn the game before joining a PVE or PVE-P game. Good luck...
I found health wise all northern archers and fighters have more than L4 named in desert
Yes, this would be the case. They are higher level than their counterparts in the desert regardless of their tier. Cheers!
Do you get the achievement for a unique thrall also from a tier 4 worker? So anything else than fighter and archer since you can't place them on the ground
Yeah I think as soon as it breaks and you take it out of the wheel you get the achievement. Cheers!
The Vaniverse Gaming alright, so Conan still needs to patch some things... Thanks anyway :)
Know what always gets me to like a TH-camr? Is when the very, VERY first thing they say is "Like and subscribe!"
If you are lucky you can also get the jouney step by taming animals. I got mine by taming some crocs and got a greater crocodile
That is interesting. This video was made before taming existed. Thank you for your post. Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming np matey.
Just started playing and I'm hooked 😂
I do not recommend anyone to go to that galleon location for thralls, unless you have a group helping you.
Thank you for your comment!. Sorry for such a delayed response. Usually I respond within serveral days not months...Cheers!
You can get a named alchemist at the mounds of the dead
Thanks for your post. Yes, the Mounds of the dead seems to have the best spawn rate for Tier 3 and 4 alchemists. Cheers!
Wonderful series of vids! I was mildly surprised when all my bases were in similar locations to your recommendations before watching the video!
How’s your experience so far with the new patch?
It was very bad. However, they put another hotfix patch out recently, which I have not tried just yet. Cheers!
Cheers!
The Vaniverse Gaming thanks!!
@@VaniverseGaming would love a updated version and it's good to not hear "The one and only" for once in a video lmao
do all the AI attack you or are there some that don't?
All AI attacks you except in Sepamaru. That city is neutral. Also, so merchants, and story characters will not attach you either. Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming thanx for replying it was very helpful ,i only been playing this a few days
Do t3 armorers give unique recipes or is it only from named thralls?
T3 armors let you make Flawless and Exceptional items, but I believe only Tier 4 give you unique recipes. Maybe someone else can comment on this, as it may have changed. Cheers!
Any tips on where to find an artisan?
Artisans refer to the tanner, carpenter, blacksmith, armorer, smelter. The Artisan Table can take any one of these thralls. These types of thralls are at pretty much every camp around the map and the range from level 1- Level 4. The Level 4's have unique names. Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming thank you!!
Wish i can easily climb the ladder of taskmaster (break a t1 to break a t2 to break a t3 ect) but I'm ironically struggling to find t1 and t2 ones haha
Funny how that works. Thank you for your comment. Sorry for the delayed response. Usually i respond to all comments in a few days. Cheers!
I got my teir 4 bearer thrall from the mini camp befor the bridge to the ship.
Very nice. This guide needs an update. A lot has changed since I made this video. Cheers!
How u do that whit out cheat ? :U
I usually hit everything with the truncheon and have a shield out. This way I do not kill the one I am looking to capture. Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming How do u knock out a boss and i'm alone ? It's hard. :P
Thanks very helpful video.
You are welcome JD. Thank you for all of your comments. Cheers!

Mounds/skeles/asagarth/supermeru
Yes, all very good please. Cheers!
How are you not getting attacked? Are you in like god mode or something?
Yes, I am in god mode. Cheers!
The Vaniverse Gaming thanks!
My thing is how you get to knock them out. Everytime I encounter a top tier thrall they die before I can knock them out. Only low tier 1 thralls get KO easy.
With the new system you need to create weapon mods that add concussive dmg. Javelins and blunt arrow work as well. Cheers!
I’m now playing the game for free on PS4, I logged off and went to sleep in my house and I was killed and the server I’m on said it was after the time that they could do damage to my building. Does anybody know how they got in to kill me?
depends. if you had a window, or if when you logged off some of your body was sticking through a wall. Or they were just hackers. Cheers!
I went there and everybody is just hostile, i didnt attack or provoked anyone, why does this happen?
When I made the video I was in god mode for the purpose of demonstration. For the most part everything is hostile in Conan Exiles :) Cheers!
Thrall farming wouldn't be as frustrating if you're in a viral server with lots of people. Chances are, you WILL find a thrall that you need from raiding or clan, but sadly servers are all dead and I have to farm everything I need :/
Yeah. Stealing thralls is way easier lol. Cheers!
Why they dont attack you 😳🧐
And how you teleport to it? Or is this a self made server??
This was a guide video so it was made in admin god mode. This is on solo player mode on my PC to record videos. Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming "How do you shoot the devil in the back?
What if you miss?"
How come the ai don't attack you? Also, are all named thralls good or better than level 3s?
They did not attack me because I was doing a tutorial video in admin mode. Yes, named thralls are Tier 4. Cheers!
Around F,11 is 4-5 named
Thank you for your post. I have to update this video eventually. Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming i ment B11 my bad my mind isnt what it used to be, too long indoors
What is "god " mode?
When you play solo, or are an admin of your own server, in the admin panel you can turn on god mode which prevents you frim taking damage. Cheers!
Why the npcs not attacking??
This was an information video, so I was in Admin Mode, so they could not see me to attack me. Cheers!
Last desert location has t4 task masters
Thank you for your post. This video is a bit out of date. Cheers!
Mound of dead
Second best for archer and fighter thrall
Thank you for your comment. You are right I never included the mound of the dead. Cheers!
The only other T4 alchemist I've ever had was the one in the volcano, so Mounds of the Dead is easier to get to early on..
the city in the north is where i get my frost giants..
Yeah, A lot of things have changes since this video was created. Thank you for your post. Cheers!
Cheers!
Mound of the dead in the north.
Thanks for the post. Cheers!
How do i get an alchemist without going to the volcano
I usually find one at The Summoning Place, in the desert going from G5 into H5, towards the middle of that vertical line on the map (it will show up as the red eye symbol on the map). It is a good size complex, but if you go up the stairs to the right from where the Yog Priest is, there is generally a rank I or II Alchemist there (and up to a III Taskmaster if needed). It's holding me over until I can get me a rank 3 Alchie.
@@Shadowshael i just found one at bottom of i5
There is a tier 3 Alchemist that spawns right in front of the Dregs dungeon stairs. He is on the left and is the last guy before you get to the stairs. Can be a 1, 2, or 3 alchemist. You can tell by what he or she is wearing. Cheers!
I hate when people say Conan's name wrong....
