If it tears again u can use Almera master cylinder and few bits to convert it to hydraulic set up

The older VW Mk1's suffered the same problem with the clutch cable tearing into the firewall. That washer is not going to hold up. The new Mk1's had a bracket on the fire wall where the clutch cable connected to on one side and then you had a rod going from the bracket to clutch pedal lever. Search mk1 golf clutch cable bracket on Google and see if you can fit that as a better solution
